  1. Determined Isaiah Washington Says That ABC "Fired the Wrong Guy"

Belgian Grey - I haven't seen anything in the press here - can you send links or tell us what you've read? THANKS!
  2. Determined Isaiah Washington Says That ABC "Fired the Wrong Guy"

BG - you're right, I had bad information. Sorry to all, like me, that expected it on Friday!
  3. Determined Isaiah Washington Says That ABC "Fired the Wrong Guy"

IW is going to be on Larry King tonight (6/22)....
  4. Isaiah Washington Taking Life a Day at a Time, Focusing On Foundation

    I wish him well.

You know the old saying - when one door closes, another one opens....
  5. Shonda Rhimes Discusses Firing of Isaiah Washington, Reflects On Season 3

I had to travel today and I listened to the last few podcasts again. Shonda talks about all the 'hints' (going as far back as the proposal to end Burke / Christina's standoff) that they weren't going to make it as a couple.

I don't know if that proves that ABC / Shonda intended to release IW that far back, but it certainly leaves that option open to write him out if they chose to...
  6. Inside the Ouster of Isaiah Washington

Hey, Aha - I can't get to the comments link either. Haven't been able to for a couple of days...
  7. Isaiah Washington: The Firing Fallout

    oops - forgot the link

  8. Isaiah Washington: The Firing Fallout

hey, separate the real people from the characters, too. And right or wrong, in these times, people are not going to get away with using language considered to be "hate" language, no matter who they are. Don Imus, Michael Richards (the guy from Seinfield), Mel Gibson....

I venture to say that had someone used the N word, not only would they have been let go, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would've been asking for their head on a stick. All the NAACP has done for IW is "ask for a clarification" of the exact reason he was not renewed...

Here's a new link to MSNBC, who cites unnamed sources 'close to the production' that said it was a business decision, that his pattern of behavior had become a liability. That tells me it wasn't just a word, it was a behavior.

We'll probably never know all the details. I will miss IW's portrayal of Burke - he did some great acting.

I have to say I'm really disheartened at how many people have taken this so personally that they fell they have to be rude to others, regardless of their perspective...
  9. Isaiah Washington: Truly Angry, Contemplating Lawsuit

I think the thing we tend to lose sight of is - it wasn't just the verbal stuff...I'm of two minds whether that's a firing offense, for Washington, Don Imus, or anyone else....but -

apparently the cause for ABC not renewing was "a history of disruptive behavior" which manifested itself in an altercation with PD and some angry words, including the F word, then the GG thing.

I can see where IW would be angry after taking steps that, however tacitly, ABC had to encourage and expect as part of him continuing in the cast. I'm not sure how much the additional comments by the cast had to do with it - although you've got to admit, if they didn't feel comfortable with him, it would probably show on screen eventually.

I do commend the cast members that were low key about it, though.

    Should be interesting....
  10. Patrick Dempsey On Good Morning America

Even on Sunday morning (race day) the local news people were talking about EP being here, but I never saw interviews or anything...I did see one picture of PD and a woman that looked like Jill, although there wasn't any publicity about Jill being here.

So, who knows... maybe EP was here and kept it very quiet. Maybe Jill was here and kept it equally quiet. It was a great day for PD personally, a race car drivers' dream....so I hope all his friends & family were able to be here & support him.

I just think it's soooo cool that he got the opportunity to do this. You can tell by the GMA video that he was totally digging it. Hopefully, he'll be a part of Indy racing for years to come...
  11. Add Your Favorite Grey's Anatomy Video!

You know the worst thing about seeing these videos.....is seeing how GOOD GA can be...seeing the chemistry between the cast and the incredible moments they've created over the last couple of years....

then feeling like all that is gone. I really worry that Shonda & co. can't bring back the magic. The last few episodes had just a few of those magic GA moments....I'm so afraid that Shonda has lost it...

but thanks to everyone for listing the videos...there are some incredible ones there!
  12. Ellen Pompeo, Eric Dane to Join Patrick Dempsey at Indianapolis 500

Hey, sponge...that's awesome!!!Yeah, I heard from a co-worker's husband that worked the race (cop working security) that PD was walking around a lot. I think he must've been pretty excited about driving and all the delays were making everybody crazy....

I don't think EP made it either...or she was extremely low key, I never heard her name mentioned during any of the events. unfortunate for the fans, but wouldn't it be cool if she could just have a fun day supporting a friend?

I think it's fun that PD and ED seemed to have such a good time together....the clips of them riding around in the pace car were a lot of fun.
  13. Ellen Pompeo, Eric Dane to Join Patrick Dempsey at Indianapolis 500

He's already been interviewed at the track this morning, as has Eric Dane. PD had on a ball cap, and a Vision Racing jacket over a white polo shirt. Looking good....very up and excited about driving the pace car. Had some very nice things to say about the city.
  14. Ellen Pompeo, Eric Dane to Join Patrick Dempsey at Indianapolis 500

The parade will be videotaped for broadcast from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today on ESPN2 and from 8 to 10 p.m. locally on WISH-TV (Channel 8).
  15. Ellen Pompeo, Eric Dane to Join Patrick Dempsey at Indianapolis 500

Here's one link from the paper...still looking....

  16. Ellen Pompeo, Eric Dane to Join Patrick Dempsey at Indianapolis 500

Well, I'm back from the parade....Eric Dane was riding in an old mustang. He looked great! PD was in an even older car, don't know what model. There was a woman in the front seat, but it sure didn't look like Ellen. PD looked GREAT! Tan, smiling....Both he and ED looked thinner. ED's hair was more salt & pepper, PD's was dark! Oh, he is sooooo handsome.

I wasn't terribly happy with the photos that I took, they weren't as close up as I would've liked...but I'll still share if someone can tell me how / where to post them. The girlfriend I went with had a zoom lens and she thought her photos would be much closer...but her camera was a film camera and she was taking the filrm to be developed right after the parade....

It was great, can't wait for tomorrow!
  17. Patrick Dempsey: One Hot Husband

wow, Kathy....that's really interesting re: next season....I want it to give me hope...but then he says "is it an end?"

But I agree - it is kind of funny that even he compares real life to his fictional character. In all seriousness - I think guys could understand women better if they would look at the things that women find attractive in their fiction. (Besides being so good looking, I mean : )
  18. Ellen Pompeo, Fiance at Costume Gala

I sure like that one better than the kind of grayish one with the circular neck piece (was that at the Emmy's?)...she is a beautiful woman and seems so happy too....
  19. Patrick Dempsey: One Hot Husband

have you EVER seen a guy that hot...I mean, he has INNER hotness.....whoa

I could die a happy woman - with him on one side, and George Clooney on the other.....

I am happy for PD and Jill - they seem to have a great relationship despite the pressure that comes with being a sex symbol. He really seems to have his priorities in order - such a good role model!
