Round Table Discussion: 17 Seconds

This week on the Round Table, docs quarrel over Doc, Burke's emotions get the best of him, and Izzie loses it...

Who has the better chance of survival: Denny or Doc?

Izzie & Denny

McCritic: It's looking grim at the moment, but at least Izzie's Rambo-like medical maneuver is meant to save Denny's life. Sadly, though, what's up for Doc is his tumor count. No transplant can come to his rescue. Meredith and Derek will need to come to the same conclusion on at least one thing soon; the puppy pound in the sky is paging this Doc. Stat.

Married-to-McDreamy: Doc. After watching Izzie turn into a raving lunatic at Denny's bedside, I now have a lot more faith in Finn as a doctor than I do in her.

iheartizzie: Hard to say. Doc is terminally ill, while Denny has a far greater upside, as a successful transplant could prolong his life significantly. On the flip side, there are no crazy interns currently plotting to kill Doc.

What are the odds on George reciprocating the L-word to Calli?

Round Table Discussion: Damage Case

This week on the Round Table, McDreamy McFreaks over McVet, Burke's future with Cristina is debated, and Dr. Torres' hygiene is called into question...

Do you think Calli really washed her hands?Dr. Torres

McCritic: Of any sort of bathroom residue? Probably. Of the insecure notion that she was being judged by two of our heroines? No way. Like a seventh grade girl who wore a clashing scarf and sweater to school, Calli is sitting alone at the metaphorical hospital lunch table. Bring her some tater tots and always offer to carry her Trapper Keeper, George.

iheartizzie: I doubt it, and there's nothing wrong with that. It's just not important at 6 a.m. when you're gonna shower later anyway. In my household, we strictly adhere to the unofficial policy of "Number One, You're All Done; Number Two, Wash 'Em, You!"

Married-to-McDreamy: Not a chance. Her story definitely doesn't hold water, if you will. She says that she was embarrassed about running into Meredith and Izzie in the bathroom and because of that, she waited to wash her hands until she left and was in the kitchen. However, if she really was that embarrassed, why would she proceed with going to the bathroom after noticing them in there? Very suspicious indeed.

Who won the Mer/Der fight in the stairwell?

Round Table Discussion: Blues For Sister Someone

This week on the Round Table, a mommy-tracked Bailey is back on the warpath, Meredith is back on the dating scene, and Alex is more obnoxious than ever...

Does Dr. Bailey deserve to be monitored?

McCritic: Bailey is a success due to her intense focus -- but a baby can even placate a nazi. Isn't that the tagline all storks wear around their necks before dropping newborns into the world? Until Dr. Bailey can prove she has the physician fire back at full flame, it makes sense that the good chief won't let her carry on by herself.

Married-to-McDreamy: No. There is no reason for the Chief to be mommy-tracking this self-sufficient, sassy attending surgeon. She can clearly hold her own in the operating room, despite the new (little) man in her life.

Dr. Mom

iheartizzie: I love the Chief. I think he's a cool guy and does a great job running the show at Seattle Grace. He's got to lay off Miranda here, however. If memory serves, she was performing surgery while very pregnant, her unborn son kicking up a storm in the womb. That was okay, but she gets mommy-tracked now? Come on, Chief. How about cutting one of your top surgeons a little slack? On a side note, I can't believe I just said "womb." Gross.

What's the proper punishment for Alex?

Round Table Discussion: Name of the Game

This week on the Round Table, sweaters are knit, charades are played, and Meredith swears off men and booze...

At what game could Drs. Burke and Yang destroy George and Calli?

McCritic: Monopoly. George and Calli don't exactly come across as experts in the real estate game. One resides in a basement, the other may end up at in a pound Dr. Yang, the Enforcerone of these days. Conversely, Burke and Yang owned two apartments between them at one point. You can bet your top hat they flipped that investment for a tidy profit, one worth far more than a thimble of cash.

iheartizzie: In the spirit of March Madness, I'd say basketball. Dr. Burke would run circles around George and drain perimeter jumpers at will, and we know Cristina is not above playing dirty. She'd bring the flopping, jersey-tugging, trash-talking intangibles that would neutralize Calli's low-post advantage. This game of 2-on-2 would be a rout. And a riot.

Is it wrong for Izzie to help Meredith believe she can actually knit?

Round Table Discussion: Superstition

This week on the Round Table, more of Dr. Webber's past is revealed, Izzie falls harder for Denny, and George finally discovers courage...

Could Izzie really kick Cristina's ass?

Izzie is ToughMcCritic: No way. Izzie may still think she's trailer park tough, but those years spent modeling have changed her in ways she's afraid to admit. Television dinners were replaced with catered buffets, wife beaters with lacy lingerie. Having forgotten how to properly kick another's person's ass because she was so determined to show off her own, Izzie will run and hide as soon as Cristina breaks out the chop stick nunchucks.

Married-to-McDreamy: Yes. Izzie not only has the rough-and-tumble trailer park upbringing, she has an incredible amount of rage towards Alex pent up inside of her, and it's just waiting to be unleashed.

iheartizzie: Of course. If I learned one thing growing up, it's that you do not f--k with people from the trailer park. Or people coming off a bad breakup and looking for an excuse to punch something. Or people six inches taller than you.

How will George screw up the relationship with Dr. Calli Torres?

Round Table Discussion: Band-Aid Covers the Bullet Hole

This week on the Round Table, George remakes himself, Denny almost dies for the 43rd time, and Cristina showcases her maternal instincts...

How long will it take for to George forgive Meredith?

McCritic: About the same amount of time it will take him to bed Dr. Torres. Once George gives himself to a woman who actually appreciates his charm, good heart, awkwardness and rock hard abs - as opposed to one that cries uncontrollably at the gentle touch of his embrace - he'll realize there aren't just other fish in the sea; there are beautiful mermaids who don't have an eye for a married doctor. Or Syphilis.

iheartizzie: About as long as it takes his hair to look normal again. George, have you heard of barber shops? Have you never gone to such a place? Seattle must have dozens. Get with the program, then get with Dr. Torres already.

Married-to-McDreamy: Married-to-McDreamy feels that George will need approximately 42 days to forgive Meredith. Or at least enough time for him to become sufficiently distracted by Dr. Torres.

Who won the Scrabble game between Izzie and Denny?

Round Table Discussion: What Have I Done to Deserve This?

This week on the Round Table, things go from bad to worse for George, Denny returns to woo Izzie, and Addison attracts some particularly undesirable poison oak ...

Meredith or George. Choose a side.

McCritic: Can I choose what's behind door number-three instead? I guess Meredith is mostly in the wrong because she took advantage of a good friend. No one's had his hopes and dreams dashed as quickly as George since the president of the Bode Miller Fan Club. But the naive Mr. O'Malley has to get a spine. And a clue. Did he really think he had a McChance over a certain McDoctor? At least you got to see Grey's bare anatomy, George, be thankful for that much.

iheartizzie: Cristina said it best when she admonished Meredith for "picking on the weaker kid." George was downright pathetic in the aftermath of their encounter, but he had just put himself out there, which took guts. Then, after a period of whining and self-doubt, he had the cojones to walk away and demand better. George in a landslide.

Married-to-McDreamy: George. Come on! This guy deserves a little love and respect. My mom says that George reminds her of my brother, but let's be serious, I can't very well list that as my reason for choosing him after seeing last week's episode. That being said, I would have to say that Meredith really does need to take a time-out for awhile to make up for what she put George through.

Denny or Alex. Choose a side.

Round Table Discussion: Yesterday

This week on the Round Table, Izzie and Alex get busy and someone is getting punched ...

Will Izzie regret hooking up with Alex again?

McCritic: This former model appears to have a good head on her shoulders. It complements her other very good body parts quite well. For now, her and Alex have come to a mutually beneficial arrangement. Whether or not it succeeds outside the allure of the janitor's closet is another issue, but one that Izzie seems very much in control of.

iheartizzie: Hard to say. He cheated on Izzie to get back his confidence and improve his performance in bed... with Izzie. You can never trust that guy completely, but at the same time, in Alex's twisted world, he really meant no harm. Perhaps he has learned the error of his ways and will never allow her to feel regretful about their closet escapades again.

Married-to-McDreamy: No. Now that Alex was finally able to "perform," he will never cheat on her with that blah-looking nurse again and they will lead a happy live of having quickies in the hospital closets.

Is there any chance this works out well for George?
