"Crash Into Me, Part II" Promo

Below is the ABC promo for Thursday's "Crash Into Me, Part II," which concludes the story we first watched unfold November 22, Thanksgiving night. The doctors we love are in full crisis mode - and not just regarding their professional lives ...

We'll have sneak preview clips (hopefully) posted soon. In the meantime, you can discuss the episode and all things about the show in our Grey's Anatomy forum!

Tuesday: "Crash Into Me, Part I" Encore

Tuesday at 9 p.m. EST, ABC will be airing a special encore presentation of "Crash Into Me, Part I," which originally aired Thanksgiving night, November 22. Part II will air Thursday night at 9 p.m. in Grey's Anatomy's usual time slot.

If you need to familiarize yourself or relive the first half of this Grey's Anatomy event, just read Grey's Anatomy Insider's comprehensive episode guide to Part I.

Our staff also posted its weekly Round Table discussion of the episode, and we welcome fan commentary on the questions and the show's events in general.

What a Wreck

Richard surveys the damage of the ambulance crash outside Seattle Grace.

We also have posted our music guide, gallery of photos and list of Grey's Anatomy quotes from Part I. As always, our forum thread is open for discussion as well!

Thursday, "Crash Into Me, Part II" will pick up where this episode left off - Lexie trying to save Nick, Ava back at Seattle Grace, Mer and Der in limbo, paramedics' lives (and Bailey's marriage) on the brink. Should be very interesting to watch unfold.

Writers to Continue Strike; Episode 11 to Air Next Year

CBS won a repeat-laden Thursday night ratings battle amid the ongoing writers strike, with Survivor: China rising to the top in total viewers and adults 18-49.

Both 9 p.m. heavyweights - Grey's Anatomy (which aired the Season 4 premiere, "A Change is Gonna Come") and CSI, were in repeats, as was NBC's The Office.

So it was Survivor: China (13.8 million, 4.5 rating/12 share in adults 18-49) that was the most-watched program of the night, according to Nielsen Media Research.

CBS therefore won 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., thanks to a repeat CSI (12.3 million, 3.4/8) as NBC's ER (8.6 million, 3.4/9) split 10 p.m. with Without a Trace (9.9, 2.5/7).

Writers on Strike

Meanwhile, it appears that the brief hope that the Writers Guild of America strike may be nearing its conclusion has been dashed for now, as the writers were both swift and vehement in rejecting the latest proposal from the studios.

As a result of the ongoing strike, numerous sources are reporting that Episode 11 of Season Four of Grey's Anatomy (the next new episode, "Crash Into Me, Part II" is #10) will not air until early next year, rather than in two weeks, December 13, its originally scheduled air date. We apologize for our reporting error.

Hollywood Producers Make New Offer to Writers

According to MSN and NBC news sources, the Hollywood studios have presented a new and much larger contract offer to striking film and TV writers as of Thursday, and the writers' negotiators have requested a four-day recess to consider it.

The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers said in a statement that the negotiations are set to resume next Tuesday, December 4.

The producers said the new offer included payments for work shown online, one of the major sticking point that led to the current writers strike.

Producers say the new offer includes $130 million in additional compensation but did not specify whether that proposed figure was per year, or over the three-year life of a proposed new contract. That we will have to wait and see on.

Grey's Anatoym Season 4 Cast

The Writers Guild of America went on strike November 5 when its last contract expired. Negotiations began anew on Monday after breaking off over a week.

Cross your fingers that a deal between the studios and writers is reached soon, as the slate of finished episodes of Grey's Anatomy is just about wiped out.

We believe (although we're not certain) that Episode 11 (December 13) is the last completed episode of Season Four of Grey's Anatomy.

Tonight: "A Change is Gonna Come"

Rather than the conclusion of "Crash Into Me," ABC will be airing a rerun tonight. The episode will be the Season Four premiere, "A Change is Gonna Come."

While we would obviously prefer a new Grey's Anatomy, we have all the info on this episode if you engage in a repeat viewing. Follow the link above for our official episode recap, and be sure to check out our music guide (with lyrics), video clips, list of memorable quotes, gallery of photos, and episode forum thread.

MerDer Love or Hate?

"Crash Into Me, Part II" will air next Thursday, December 6, at the usual time. It will be very interesting to see how the stories introduced last week play out.

End to Writers' Strike in Sight?

We're afraid to jinx it by posting this, but here's hoping that the Writers Guild of America agrees to a new deal soon and the current, fourth season of Grey's Anatomy, along with other shows we love, can therefore continue in their entirety!

Grey's Anatomy

It looks promising, so cross your fingers and check out the tidbit from insider Nikki Finke, which she posted on her influential Web site, Deadline Hollywood Daily:

"As the WGA strike begins its fourth week, I've been told some positive news about today's resumption of contract talks between the writers and the producers. So positive, in fact, that I'm almost fearful to post it. But here goes: a very reliable source tells me that there appears to be a deal seemingly in place between both sides."

Alex Karev Love Interests to Square Off?

In what is being billed as a major Grey's Anatomy "event," a massive tragedy hits Seattle Grace as an ambulance crashes and threatens the lives of not only the patient(s) inside, but the lives of the doctors and paramedics themselves.

The Chief and Dr. Bailey work tirelessly at the crash site trying to saves the lives of both the patients and the paramedics... although they encounter at least one man (see sneak previews) who refuses their treatment on controversial grounds.

Seth Green also guest stars as a character named Nick.

But that's just the beginning of the drama that begins tomorrow, on Thanksgiving night, in the first half of a two-part episode, entitled "Crash Into Me, Part I."

We've gotten to know more about Dr. Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) at the end of last season and the beginning of this one. Now it looks like he reaches a turning point when Ava shows up (again) and meets the new girl in his life - Lexie Grey.

Alex Love Interests

Is a new Grey's Anatomy love triangle developing between Dr. Alex Karev, Ava / Jane Doe / Rebecca Pope (Elizabeth Reaser, right) and Dr. Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh)?

As always, you can discuss this episode and all things Grey's Anatomy by leaving comments or talking about it with fans in the Insider's exclusive FORUM.
