Tonight: "Drowning On Dry Land"

Tonight, Grey's Anatomy returns for part two of the three-part drama that began with last week's thrilling "Walk On Water."

George & IzzieIn tonight's "Drowning On Dry Land," the doctors frantically search for the missing Meredith - while pondering their own places in the universe.

Meanwhile, a desperate, frantic Izzie decides to take extreme measures to manage the situation she finds herself in. Cristina and Burke have a blow-up fight about their engagement announcement.

Oh, and there's also the rumor going around that one of the doctors will die, or find themselves on the brink of the great beyond in a harrowing near-death experience (both possibilities we address in our death watch).

Yikes! Guest starring Elizabeth Reaser (who we believe is the pregnant Jane Doe), this second of three episodes sounds like another edge-of-your-seat event. Here's ABC's preview of "Drowning On Dry Land" ...

Wow. We're nervous just watching that clip! As always, we'll have our official episode guide posted after the show, and start putting together a list of quotes, image gallery, and music guide. Check back with us often, and thanks as always for watching Grey's Anatomy right along side the Insider!

Tonight's Episode: "Walk On Water"

Derek is On the SceneBeginning tonight, our favorite show will enter a three-episode story arc that the network says will challenge the interns of Seattle Grace - and Grey's Anatomy fans - like never before.

In tonight's "Walk On Water," the staff tries to deal with patients while absorbing the shock of a major disaster on the Seattle ferries. The Chief must choose a team to go out on location and save what's left of the few lives spared.

A woman with pieces of glass in her chest comes to the ER in search of her husband, who was in another ambulance. She refuses to be treated until she sees her husband. But is he at Seattle Grace?

One doctor has to deal with some angry people complaining that the wait to be treated is too long. Somewhere in Seattle, another doctor helps a man stuck in his car after an accident. A patient finds renewed hope after eye surgery, while a child must wait alone in the waiting room as her mother is treated by doctors.

Partially filmed in Seattle, and guest starring Elizabeth Reaser, this episode sounds like a dramatic one. There's certainly lot to process, but it should be entertaining, to say the least. Here's ABC's preview of "Walk On Water" ...

As always, we'll have our official episode guide posted after the show, and put together a list of quotes, image gallery, and music guide. Check back often, and thanks as always for visiting the Insider!

Tonight's Episode: "Wishin' and Hopin'"

CristinaLast week's "Great Expectations" certainly lived up to them, and we have complete faith that tonight's episode, "Wishin' and Hopin,'" will follow that lead.

The race for the Chief's position is on, as Derek, Preston, Addison and even Mark compete for Richard's affections. We'll see who emerges as a contender in this four-horse race.

Meanwhile, a surgical patient endangers the lives of everyone around her, and Meredith's Alzheimer's-stricken mother, Ellis (played by the Emmy-nominated Kate Burton), experiences a change in her medical condition and becomes lucid.

How this affects the younger Dr. Grey - as well as Ellis' one-time lover, Richard, and his decision to retire - will be very interesting to see.

Lastly, Cristina and Callie consider the marriage proposals left on the table at the end of last week's show. According to the official Insider poll, 86 percent of you believe we'll hear at least one "yes."

Tonight's Episode: "Great Expectations"

Alex KarevAfter last week's thrilling "Six Days: Part II," which contained many terrific, emotive story lines - most notably the passing of Harold O'Malley, a tribute to Bob Verne, writer Krista Vernoff's father - tonight's "Great Expectations" has a tough act to follow.

We're confident the producers will live up to our great expectations, though. This is, after all, Grey's Anatomy. Here's what we know about tonight's all-new episode...

The pit is swarming with new patients, all of whom seem to have different, unique problems. Dr. Bailey has the idea of opening a free clinic.

A female patient doesn't want her father to know that her abdominal pain may be a symptom of pregnancy. Rumors of Richard's departure from Seattle Grace begin to circulate and a doctor at the hospital gets proposed to.

Also, tension rises with Addisex, and George is reportedly a sex machine now. Who would have guessed? Check out a preview of the episode here:

As always, we'll have our comprehensive episode guide up immediately after the broadcast, and get right to work on our image gallery, list of quotes, and (new and improved) music guide. We look forward to watching another great episode right along with you!

Tonight: "Six Days: Part II"

It's been a week of ups and downs.

First, Grey's Anatomy wins Best TV Drama at Monday's Golden Globes. Then, the controversy involving Isaiah Washington and his remark about T.R. Knight flared up again - and stronger than ever.

Needless to say, we're happy to be focusing on what's most important right now: Part II of "Six Days."

Last week's Part I was terrific, and we can't wait to see how everything transpires tonight. Here's what we know about the episode so far. No real spoilers here, just hints and discussion points...

  • Meredith tries to talk to her father about his side of the story. But will she listen?
  • Cristina and Burke continue to play "Uncle" until one of them gives in. Which one?
  • There's tension between Alex and Addison. Who would have guessed?
  • Callie and George talk... and panic. About what?
  • Miranda wishes she didn't have to keep a secret.
  • Plagued by guilt over inheriting $8.7M she feels she doesn't deserve, Izzie may have found some good to do.
  • A 40-year-old man comes to the hospital because he can't stop crying, but his wife thinks he needs to just get over it.
  • Two roommates arrive at Seattle Grace, and the medical condition of one of them may forever alter both of their lives.

Intense! As always, we'll have the full recap for you after the show, and compile our collections of quotes, pictures and music from the episode as well. For last week's quotes, pictures and music, follow these links.

Tonight: The Long-Awaited "Six Days"

Cristina YangThe wait is finally over.

Tonight, Grey's Anatomy returns with an all-new episode entitled "Six Days." Written by acclaimed writer/producer Krista Vernoff, tonight promises to be full of drama, heartbreak and emotion.

As usual, we'll have our episode guide and lists of all the memorable quotes, pictures and music up as soon as we can after the show airs. But now, here's a look at what's to come. DO NOT READ below if you want to avoid all potential hints / spoilers.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After a successful operation on his heart, Mr. O'Malley undergoes a second surgery for his cancer. Meanwhile, Thatcher Grey pays a visit to Seattle Grace to see his new granddaughter. Meredith discovers Derek has trouble sleeping soundly... and that she may be the cause.
A 17-year-old patient, Heather, is admitted - with a bad attitude resulting from her medical condition and the surgeries it's required her to have. A woman has an emotional breakdown as she tries to hand over something very important to her.
Lastly, a doctor's family comes to town to visit to celebrate an occasion... and our sources tell us tonight may be Part I of a two-part thriller. We'll see if this holds true! All the details here are hinted at in the preview below, but it's still fun to speculate! We're counting down the minutes...
Lifetime Repeats Begin Sunday Night
You may have already noticed the ad on the right hand side, but in case you haven't you can watch Grey's Anatomy from the very beginning starting this Sunday at 11 p.m. on Lifetime.
Lifetime won the syndication rights late last year, this is great for the true die-hards who can't help but re-watch Season One, or the new fans who want to see how it all begin.
We know you're probably sick of re-runs by now, but still, it's neat that Grey's Anatomy episodes are already being replayed as classics. Scroll down for a sneak preview of next Thursday's all-new "Six Days."
ABC's Preview of All-New "Six Days"
For those of you who have been eschewing the onslaught of Grey's Anatomy repeats and haven't seen this (or just want to watch it again), here's a preview of next week's all-new episode, "Six Days." Looks intense!
Tonight: From a Whisper to a Scream, Don't Stand So Close to Me
In the last Thursday before new episodes return (finally), ABC will be showing the terrific "From a Whisper to a Scream" tonight at 9 p.m. EST.
Originally airing on Thanksgiving night, this was - in the Insider's opinion - the best episode of Season 3 to date. The primary story line revolves around the poor health of George's father, and tension rising regarding the secret of Burke and Cristina. It is an hour of intense drama even more emotive than the usual Grey's Anatomy fare, and certainly worth a second viewing. There's also the first signs of a spark between Addison and Alex (Addex).
You can view our episode guide by following the link above, and use this link to view our image gallery. We also have compiled a list of music (with lyrics) from the episode, and as always, assembled a list of memorable quotes. For you fans who love a good debate, our staff's weekly Round Table discussion is also worth a read.
Following "From a Whisper to a Scream," another episode will air at 10. We believe this will be "Don't Stand So Close to Me," the most recent episode. It's a good opportunity to catch up before new episodes return. Be sure to check out our pictures, list of quotes and collection of music from that episode.
Enjoy, and get ready for new episodes to return next week!
New Episodes Return January 11
ABC has confirmed that the episode of Grey's Anatomy airing this Thursday, January 4, will be "Don't Stand So Close to Me," the most recent episode broadcast before the show's holiday hiatus. This means that new episodes will return (at last) on January 11.
The Insider is back after a hiatus of its own, and will be keeping you up to date on all the latest Grey's Anatomy news until the show finally comes back in nine days. We hope all of you enjoyed a happy and healthy holiday season and are ready to jump back into the MerDer / Burktina fray.
