Kate Walsh and Friends Celebrate Her Bachelorette Party in Las Vegas

Former Grey's Anatomy star Kate Walsh celebrated her bachelorette party in her honor with pals on Saturday night at Tao nightclub inside the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.

Among those on hand to help Kate Walsh celebrate were Grey's co-star Sara Ramirez, and co-star Justin Chambers' wife, Keisha Chambers.

While no date has been announced (at least none that we know of), it looks like a wedding is in the works and will happen soon. Kate Walsh, 39, has been engaged to studio executive Alex Young for about three months.

The Season 4 premiere of Grey's Anatomy, titled "A Change Is Gonna Come," airs September 27 at 9 p.m. on ABC. The premiere of Private Practice airs the day before â€" Wednesday, September 26, also at 9 p.m.

Sara Ramirez in "Got Milk?" Campaign

Actress Sara Ramirez, a.k.a. Callie Torres, a.k.a. Dr. Calliope Iphegenia Torres O'Malley, joined an exclusive club in being added to the talented cast of Grey's Anatomy during Season 2.

Now she's the latest celebrity to sport the infamous milk mustache. See below. The Sara Ramirez "Got Milk?" ad reads:

"In show business your figure, well, shows. That's why I drink milk. Studies suggest the nutrients in milk can play an important role in maintaining a healthy weight. Staying active, eating right, and drinking 24 ounces of lowfat or fat free milk a day helps you look your best. Bravo."

Sara Ramirez: Got Milk?

Great anatomy, indeed. For more information, visit thinkaboutyourdrink.com. For a cast member who doesn't get a lot of credit or attention, relative to her fellow stars, Sara Ramirez has always been terrific in our minds. We hope to see more of her in the up coming years!

Sara Ramirez: I'll Miss Kate Walsh!

With Kate Walsh leaving to star in her own spinoff series, the set of Grey's Anatomy just won't be the same.

That's according to her Grey's co-star, Sara Ramirez.

Kate & Sara"I think she is amazing, and I am going to miss her to death," a smiling Ramirez said Wednesday at a party in New York City for People En Espanol's "50 Most Beautiful" issue.

"[Kate Walsh] is an enormously talented woman, and I think she is so much fun to watch," added Ramirez.

"I wish her continued success."

Walsh's popular character, Dr. Addison Montgomery, is leaving Seattle Grace for a new life in California as the basis for her new show, Private Practice.

Asked about Walsh's real-life plans to marry Alex Young, a production co-president at 20th Century Fox, Sara Ramirez says:

"They're lovely people. I hope it'll be a beautiful wedding."

Walsh, 39, announced her engagement last week.

As for her own career, the Spamalot Tony-winning Ramirez, who plays Dr. Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy, relishes the opportunity to be a role model for women.

"I'm very proud to be in this business at this particular time, and I just hope the opportunity will continue to come where I can show the world that there are other sizes, other personalities," she said.

"Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes."

Sara Ramirez Signs Record Contract

Sara RamirezWe've already seen her rock out in her underwear on Grey's Anatomy.

Now Tony-winning actress Sara Ramirez, who plays the feisty wife of George O'Malley (T.R. Knight), Callie, has signed a deal to record her own album.

"All I can say is that Eric Idle and John Du Prez, who were the writers of Spamalot, are writing the album," Ramirez told TV Guide at the Step Up Inspiration Awards, where she was honored for mentoring young girls.

Although her lips are sealed about the disc's sound, Sara Ramirez â€" who has already inked a contract with Universal Music Group â€" did reveal that she'd be spending her summer break from Grey's Anatomy in the studio recording the album.

But the Mexico native did let a few details slip about the love triangle brewing on Grey's Anatomy between George, Callie and Izzie.

"Callie is just showing up doing her job, oblivious to everything," says Ramirez.

So will she call it quits after discovering George slept with Izzie?

"I think she knows her relationship with George is in sort of a delicate place," she says. "But she's a strong lady. She knows what she wants so I'm sure she'll go to any lengths to get it!"

Hopefully, this means we'll see more of Calliope Iphigenia Torres-O'Malley in next year's Season 4 â€" but Ramirez isn't talking just yet.

"Am I back next season?" she asks with a laugh. "Maybe. This character's just been so much fun to play. Acting with this group of people has been a master class in episodic television. For now, I'm just enjoying the ride."

Katherine Heigl Earns Co-Stars' Praise

Kate Walsh, Katherine HeiglA week after Katherine Heigl ripped her employers over issues surrounding stalled contract renegotiations, her Grey's Anatomy co-stars are saying they enjoy working with the actress.

"She's a super-talented girl," co-star Kate Walsh told People Sunday at the National Association of Black Female Executives in Music and Entertainment Dreamgirls luncheon in Beverly Hills. "Everyone's just working hard."

As for contract re-negotiations, Walsh, whose character, Addison Montgomery, is the subject of a possible Grey's Anatomy spinoff, said, "I literally just worked with Katherine the other night. We just go to work. I don't know. I don't really get into all the stuff. Everybody is doing their own thing with negotiations."

One of Heigl's other co-stars, Sara Ramirez, says of the actress who plays Dr. Izzie Stevens on the hit ABC show: "She's lovely. Everybody's very professional - not just Katherine - but everybody else too."

"At the end of the day, we all have to be grateful for our jobs. We're working actors, and not only that, we're on a hit show," Ramirez added.

Last week, Heigl's contract negations became public, and she eventually issued a statement criticizing both ABC and Touchstone, saying she was "embarrassed" and had been treated with disrespect.

"I am embarrassed that this has become a public matter and disappointed that Touchstone felt it necessary to divulge private employment information," Heigl said. "I had hoped I would be able to deal with this issue confidentially with my bosses. I dropped out of the renegotiation simply because I wanted to treat myself with the respect I was not getting from them."

Heigl, according to a statement ABC released, is contractually obligated to remain on the highly rated TV show for "several years," and is "an integral part of Grey's Anatomy and its success."

Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes, who was honored at Sunday's NABFEME luncheon, had no comment.

Don't Mess With T.R. Knight, Diddy

We hope you forgive us for briefly indulging in some frivolous gossip. We just found this tidbit too funny not to share.

T.R. KnightThe New York Post reports that T.R. Knight and two other members of the Grey's Anatomy cast had a bit of a run-in with Diddy and his security detail at the Rolling Stone and Justin Timberlake-led pre-Grammy Awards party.

The gist: Diddy's security team told them to move for his royal highness after he showed up late. And it didn't go well.

"Puffy was supposed to sit in the same VIP area that had four tables - two were for him and two were for the Grey's Anatomy cast. But he was very, very late, and there are a lot of cast members, so T.R. Knight, Kate Walsh and Sara Ramirez were at a table set up for Puffy."

Diddy's bodyguard then got pushy.

"This guy goes up to T.R. Knight, Kate and Sara and started demanding - 'Get out! Get out now! Move it!' - T.R. was furious," says a New York Post spy, who was also in the VIP section.

Knight and the rap mogul once known as Sean Combs then exchanged heated words before the cast was led to another table.

Hey, you can't let yourself get pushed around, no matter how big the guy's entourage is. Hopefully, T.R. and his fellow Grey's Anatomy stars never develop egos that large.

A Sara Ramirez Fashion Breakdown

Until your New Year's exercise resolution kicks in, Us Weekly offers some fashion fixers (or so it claims). We can't speak for their helpfulness, but we were happy to see that the magazine features Grey's Anatomy star Sara Ramirez. We think she looks great regardless, but here's the publication's comparison of two of her outfit choices:

Sara RamirezSara Ramirez

According to the magazine, unless you're really thin with a small bust (like Ellen Pompeo), the tube top (left) is a tough look to pull off. Therefore, a V-neck or halter-style blouse would probably be a better bet to subtly show off some skin. In case you were wondering, here are some examples of what you need to pull off the look:

Chic: Akiko, Leather V-Neck Top in Black, $136.00
Cheap: Banana Republic Jersey Twist-front Tank, $44.00

Sara Ramirez is One Smooth Operator

Sara RamirezSara Ramirez is slightly mortified.

A bus showcasing her image alongside 10 other Grey's Anatomy cast members on a massive promotional poster has just pulled up on the street outside a cafe.

"Oh my God. That is so weird," she cringes.

After the initial shock wears off, she smiles, pleased with the photo.

"For one of the first times, I'm looking at myself going, 'Yeah, I'm OK with that,'" she told USA Today.

Ramirez, 31, should be pleased. After an eight-episode run last season, she's a Grey's Anatomy regular.

And while the other female doctors on TV's hottest medical drama are busy breaking hearts, Ramirez is mending broken bones... as orthopedic surgeon Callie Torres. Soon after she accepted the role, Ramirez made the most of the twisted ankle and torn ligaments she received on stage playing Lady of the Lake in Broadway's Spamalot.

Her orthopedic surgeon let her observe operations.

"I was watching surgeries where they opened up knees and shoulders, taking pictures with my phone," Ramirez said.

Q & A With Sara Ramirez

For years, Sara Ramirez was the actress whom Broadway insiders consistently pegged for breakout success. She found that success, winning a Tony Award for her role as the Lady in the Lake in Spamalot.

Sara RamirezThen she found it again, joining the cast of Grey's Anatomy (which begins its much-anticipated Season 3 Thursday) as orthopedic surgeon Dr. Callie Torres, love interest of hapless intern George.

After guest starring as Callie last Spring, Sara was promoted to full-time cast member this summer.

Recently, Ramirez spoke to New York Magazine's Jada Yuan about finally living large on TV. Here's the interview:

~~~~~~~~~~~~
New York Magazine: They’ve signed you up for the full year, so clearly things are going to work out with George.
Sara Ramirez: I wouldn’t be so sure. I know they’re keeping me around, but I don’t know if it’s for George.
New York Magazine: Were you a fan of the show before you signed on?
Sara Ramirez: Oh, yes! As a Latin person, I was really proud to see the ethnic people on the show. I thought, Wow, there are no color limits. Nobody’s making comments about how there are African-Americans on the show and an Asian on the show. However, I did think, Where’s the Latin person?
Grey's Anatomy Gets a New Guest Star, Promotes a Familiar Face
ABC announced and TV Guide reports that veteran actress Diahann Carroll will be guest starring on Grey's Anatomy during Season Three. But series creator Shonda Rhimes (in typical, secretive fashion) stopped short of saying who Carroll, 71, will be portraying.
Some guesses include the mother of Dr. Burke, or perhaps a new senior-level administrator at SGH. A counterpart and/or a rival of Dr. Webber, perhaps? We will have to wait and see. Carroll (below, left) has appeared in 49 feature films and is also a Tony Award-winning stage actress.
In other Grey's cast news, the scene-stealing Sara Ramirez (below, right), one of the show's notable guest stars, has been promoted to full-time cast member. The Insider would like to send our congratulations. We're already getting psyched for more awkward moments in the bathroom at Meredith's house whenever Ramirez's character, Dr. Callie Torres, spends the night!
