Eric Dane. Shirtless.
You're welcome ...
The Grey's Anatomy star and his wife, Rebecca Gayheart, took some time off, soaking up the sun during a relaxing getaway on St. Barts on Thursday afternoon.
You're welcome ...
The Grey's Anatomy star and his wife, Rebecca Gayheart, took some time off, soaking up the sun during a relaxing getaway on St. Barts on Thursday afternoon.
Romance â" both onscreen and off â" was the topic of the day at the Chrysalis Ball, held Saturday night at a private estate in Brentwood, Calif.
The hosts: Grey's Anatomy star Eric Dane and wife Rebecca Gayheart.
Dane's character, Mark Sloan, had a rough season as far as his love life goes. But as far as his own marriage to Gayheart goes, he couldn't be happier:
"It is great. I don't know how I got so lucky," he said.
Eric Dane added that he and Gayheart are "working on" kids.
Several Private Practice stars â" Kate Walsh and Tim Daly included â" as well as other stars (like Eva Mendes, pictured) were there to support Dane and Gayheart.
Among the Grey's Anatomy contingent was Katherine Heigl, who momentarily misplaced her spouse, Josh Kelley, and began joking that married life is "Great ... except that I've lost my husband, so it could be over now, I guess!"
Heigl is managing to juggle working on a hit show and a busy movie schedule (she is now filming The Ugly Truth): "It's a real blessing because I love both and so I can do them both and not be completely ready to blow my brains out."
T.R. Knight and boyfriend Mark Cornelsen were all smiles, saying that their relationship is "very good, so far," but even with same-sex marriage now legal in California, they're not about to tie the knot anytime soon.
As far as romance on Grey's Anatomy, Knight was as surprised as anyone by George's kiss with Lexie at the end of the May season finale.
"What was up with that?" he asked.
Grey's Anatomy star Eric Dane (a.k.a. McSteamy) showed off a newly shorn look after working up a sweat at the gym in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
What do you think of Eric Dane's new haircut?
The 36-year-old Grey's Anatomy star recently returned from New York, where he was spotted dining at the super chic Japanese restaurant Morimoto with his actress wife, Rebecca Gayheart, and friend and ER star John Stamos.
Eric Dane, seen here leaving STK restaurant (where he dined with his actress wife Rebecca Gayheart) in Hollywood on Monday, recently talked about his Grey's Anatomy character, Mark Sloan, and his nickname "McSteamy."
"I believe the name became very popular because Patrick Dempsey's character, Derek Shepherd - McDreamy - was already so popular, and I was a counterpart to him so it automatically sort of arose in the atmosphere," he said.
Eric Dane: McSteamy to the extreme-y. Sorry, that was lame.
"I don't mind it, in fact it has changed my life. I haven't seen the downside to this nickname yet. McSteamy has been good to me so far."
It's been good to Grey's Anatomy fans to, we dare to say.
It certainly appeared well-earned when Grey's Anatomy star Eric Dane waded through the waters of Crandon Beach in Miami, Fla., on Thursday.
The 35-year-old shirtless Eric Dane and co-star Owen Wilson shot a scene for their upcoming movie, Marley and Me, based on the best-selling book.
Grey's Anatomy cast member Eric Dane has taken a co-starring role alongside Owen Wilson, Jennifer Aniston and Alan Arkin in Marley & Me.
The feature film - the first for Dane since X-Men United - is an adaptation of John Grogan's bestselling memoir. David Franklin is directing.
Mr. and Mrs. Eric Dane (also known as Rebecca Gayheart).
Owen Wilson plays the ambitious reporter who moves with his wife (Aniston) to Miami for a newspaper job. Eric Dane will play the journalist's best friend, who suggests that the reporter adopt a puppy as a substitute for the children his wife wants to have.
Marley, of course, is an adorable Lab puppy but an incorrigible handful.
We're looking forward to Dane's big-screen return in Marley & Me.
Eric Dane's morning checklist... Aviator shades? Check. Straw hat? Check. Wife-beater? Check. Hawaiian shirt? Check. Warm-up pants? Check!
The Grey's Anatomy actor, 35, may not win any sort of fashion awards for this choice of outfit, but he still manages, somehow, to look kind of cool as he makes a coffee / breakfast run in Los Angeles on Saturday morning.
Dane and the rest of the Grey's Anatomy cast will be appearing at a benefit called "Good Medicine" on February 29 to support crew members hampered by the three-month work stoppage during the writers' strike.
We're pleased to repeat that Eric Dane does not have skin cancer, as was erroneously reported by a celebrity gossip magazine earlier this month.
The "fight against cancer" Eric Dane reportedly went through was not nearly as bad or dramatic as it sounded in OK! Magazine, the actor's rep said.
The OK! Magazine cover story in its February 18 issue sensationalized the fact that the Grey's Anatomy star, 35, was diagnosed with skin cancer and had malignant cells on his lip frozen off with liquid nitrogen in a doctor's office recently.
"Eric Dane does not have cancer," his rep told Us Weekly.
"He spoke with OK! to clear up inaccuracies they were planning to run. His story certainly does not compare to those actually suffering from the disease."
The actor who plays Mark Sloan (a.k.a. McSteamy) on Grey's Anatomy was reportedly mortified by the cover of the celebrity news magazine.
"Never in a million years would he have expected they would exploit his story," says the rep. "He's considering legal action."
Let this be a lesson to us all not to trust OK! Magazine.
In other news, thank goodness the writers' strike is officially over. Can we have some new Grey's Anatomy episodes already, for crying out loud?
One day after we learned about his skin cancer scare, Eric Dane looked healthy as ever, accompanying his actress wife Rebecca Gayheart, backstage at the G-Star Raw Fall 2008 fashion show during Fashion Week in New York City.
Great to see Eric "McSteamy" Dane back and better than ever.
