It was a national holiday, but that didn't hold back the Caption Contest - the weekly Grey's Anatomy Insider tradition - in its 71st consecutive week.

We were sent some terrific ones this week and we almost chose the captions by LaurenKendall, Laura and Tracy. But we had to go with Kathryn. It's time for another edition of our weekly Monday tradition - the Caption Contest, now in its 68th iteration. Let's get down to business!

We loved a lot of entries, such as those submitted by Kim and Kate Fan (the tie-in to Addison leaving for her own Private Practice in particular). But in the end, we opted for the simplicity of Graham Lunn's caption, as it seemed to sum up the nature of Alex Karev... at least the old Alex Karev.

That one really got to us, because of all the negativity surrounding the Isaiah Washington situation this summer. It was good to finally have a good natured laugh about it.

Another edition of our Caption Contest (the 65th) proved to be a good one. With over 100 responses to choose from, we had out hands full.
