Grey's Anatomy Caption Contest XXXVI

Sadly, Grey's Anatomy is in repeat mode until January 4. But at least we still have the Caption Contest to keep things interesting.

We've taken a long, hard look at the 45 replies we received for this image (from "Oh, the Guilt"), and determined that Miaka is the winner. The winning reply appears below, underneath the picture. Scroll down for the full list of submissions we received!

Thanks to all who participated, and we wish you the best of luck next week! We appreciate your participating in this weekly contest and thank you for your help in making us the #1 Grey's Anatomy fan site on the web.

Here's this week's Caption Contest image:

Addison, Meredith

Meredith: "Addison, are those my panties on the board again?"

Addison: "Uhh… N-no. No, those are Derek's."

Grey's Anatomy Caption Contest XXXV

To our dismay, Grey's Anatomy is in full-on repeat mode until January 4. Luckily, the Insider's Caption Contest is not. We are happy announce the winner for this 35th consecutive edition of the contest.

The image below (from "Don't Stand So Close to Me"), inspired a lot of good ones, but there can be only one champion. And it is MariekeS. It's simple, but it works. The traditional, Nazi-like side of Bailey needs to come out sometimes. Scroll down to see the winning entry beneath the picture. Thanks to all who participated, and good luck again this week!

Caption Contest #35!

"Stop talking you idiots! The one who can keep his mouth shut for 10 minutes is scrubbing in on this surgery."

Grey's Anatomy Caption Contest XXXIV

Another strong Caption Contest this week with 62 replies, and we would like to take a moment to thank all who took the time to participate.

As usual, the high quality of the replies made it hard to pick this week's best. We loved all the proposed captions, particularly those sent in by Ashleigh C., Amy, Anna and Eileen (we certainly never thought of going down that road when we chose the image).

At the end of the day, however, there can be only one champion. And it is HollyNichole. Congratulations! You can read the winning reply beneath the picture, and you can see the full list of entries by scrolling down the page. Thanks again and good luck again this week!

Here's the image, from "Don't Stand So Close to Me" :

McDreamy & the Nazi

Derek: "Okay, I completely just lost my train of thought."
Miranda: "You're the brain surgeon, figure it out!"

Grey's Anatomy Caption Contest XXXIII

Great Caption Contest responses this week, people. Not as many as we would have hoped for, but quality definitely wins out over quantity, as they say, and that was certainly true in this case.

The glass shard removed from a patient's heart by Burktina inspired many a funny caption from our readers. The temptation was to name the very first submission - by Bryan Adams, or at least someone using his name and tying in a reference to one of the Canadian rocker's hit songs - but it turned out that many warranted serious consideration.

Jules, Kimmy and curiousgeorge came close, as did many others who wrote in with their captions. Yet there can be only one winner, and there was little doubt among the Insider's staff members who that should be. luvthisshow, we luvyourcaption. Congratulations!

The winning response appears below. Scroll down to read the full list of captions. Thanks to all for participating and good luck this week!

Cuts Like a Knife?

Hmm... look what I just pulled out of my back. Wonder who put that there?

Grey's Anatomy Caption Contest XXXII

An even hundred. That's how many replies we received for this edition of our Caption Contest -- and the very last one proved to be the winner.

Julie Blue: A River Record (By Joe Purdy)We've pored over the full spate of submissions, and while there are many worthy contenders, the short, sweet caption sent in by Randall is this week's champion. Very well done. Just email steve@greysanatomyinsider.com to claim your prize, Randall!

Randall as won himself a copy of Joe Purdy's album, Julie Blue, which features two terrific songs heard on Grey's Anatomy ("I Love the Rain" and "Far Away Blues") and is a great listen all-around.

Thanks for playing, and good luck again this week. Scroll down to see the winning entry (beneath the picture) as well as the 100 terrific entries we received. You guys are the best, and we appreciate your efforts.

Mer & Der Tub It Up

Now this is a soap opera I could get used to.”

Grey's Anatomy Caption Contest XXXI

This week proved yet another extremely difficult Caption Contest. At least as far as picking the winner. Since there was a prize up for grabs once again, fans brought their A games... not to mention some jokes about rods and other fishing humor, references to George Clooney, and even a blatant plea for a free CD (nice try, Sarah)!

Julie Blue: A River Record (By Joe Purdy)We've looked over the list of entries, and determined that Kimmy is the winner by the slimmest of margins. Nice job! Contact us at steve@greysanatomyinsider.com to claim your prize as soon as you can!

Kimmy has won a copy of Joe Purdy's album, Julie Blue (right), which has a pair of songs heard on Grey's Anatomy, "I Love the Rain" and "Far Away Blues." Due to popular demand, we are giving away one more copy this week as well. So get cracking!

You can read the winning caption below the image, and scroll down the page to read all 64 entries we received. Thanks to all who participated, because all of the captions we got really are great. We appreciate it, and wish you the best of luck again this week!

A River Runs Through It

"The pig and the chicken, it’s like the fish and the worm: the worm is involved ... wait, the fish is ... no, that’s not right. Maybe that analogy doesn’t work. I thought I had that, seriously!"

Grey's Anatomy Caption Contest XXX

Robin and pigs. Jenna and the "McDreamy Lean." Curious George and relationship advice. Greys Lover and samurai movies. There were many worthy submissions, but in the end, as we all know there can be only one Grey's Anatomy Insider Caption Contest champion.

Julie Blue: A River Record (By Joe Purdy)Congratulations to Shelly. You are the winner of the prize: a copy of Joe Purdy's album, Julie Blue, which showcases two songs heard on Grey's Anatomy, "I Love the Rain" and "Far Away Blues."

The album also features the terrific song "Wash Away (Reprise)," which is extremely popular with viewers of the ABC series Lost. If you're interested, contact us at steve@greysanatomyinsider.com to let us know where to send your prize!

Meredith & George

George: "You know, I heard the McRib is back."
Meredith: "Seriously? I love those."

Grey's Anatomy Caption Contest XXIX

It was another good Caption Contest, inspired by this image from "I am a Tree." It was hard to choose from among our 41 replies, but all in all, we had to go with the caption submitted by Caroline. It just stood out. An honorable mention goes out to the McDreamer, Robin and Jennifer. Nice effort!

Thanks to all who participated in this fun weekly feature, and good luck again this week. The winning reply appears below!

Miranda, Callie, Mer & George

So you guys really think you’re that good? Taking my patients, taking the sick people of Seattle Grace, and going behind your resident’s back to open a heart transplant center in Meredith Grey's house. Unbelievable.

Grey's Anatomy Caption Contest XXVIII

In our office, Friday afternoons are mostly spent discussing the previous day's Grey's Anatomy episode. And the image below, from "Oh, The Guilt," inspired our fun Friday feature -- the Insider's weekly Caption Contest!

We received 58 entries, all of which were good. We enjoyed the insight into the minds of the interns from IheartMyMcGeorgie and GARocks, as well as the simple, declarative entry from Tracey. Even the admittedly bad poem by Mc. Hotty warranted consideration... but ultimately, there can be only one champion. And it's TakeTheElevator.

Congratulations! The winning entry appears beneath the picture. Thanks to all who participated and good luck this week!

The Interns Look On

"If we’d known this was going to be our execution, we’d have requested a better last meal. These snacks suck."

Grey's Anatomy Caption Contest XXVII

It's safe to say, with a record 104 replies, that this was the best caption contest yet. Thanks to all for participating! If we keep getting this many submissions, we can finally start giving out prizes to the weekly winner!

Such a large number of captions made it hard to pick this week's best. We loved all the replies, from the funny ones sent in by Sue Wallace, Becki, Keiko4, and the McNasty Social Worker, to the serious pleas for Derek's affection, and even the novella from TheDirtyMistress.

Ultimately, though, we were forced to select Erin's entry. We don't get a lot of poem entries, and this one just stood out. Congrats! You can read the winning reply beneath the picture. Scroll down for the full list. Thanks again and good luck this week.

Of these two men, I choose to keep
If I should die before I wake,
My panties, one of them shall take
