In our office, Friday afternoons are mostly spent discussing the previous day's Grey's Anatomy episode. And the image below, from "Oh, The Guilt," inspired our fun Friday feature -- the Insider's weekly Caption Contest!

We received 58 entries, all of which were good. We enjoyed the insight into the minds of the interns from IheartMyMcGeorgie and GARocks, as well as the simple, declarative entry from Tracey. Even the admittedly bad poem by Mc. Hotty warranted consideration... but ultimately, there can be only one champion. And it's TakeTheElevator.

This Week's Caption Contest Image:

It's safe to say, with a record 104 replies, that this was the best caption contest yet. Thanks to all for participating! If we keep getting this many submissions, we can finally start giving out prizes to the weekly winner!

Such a large number of captions made it hard to pick this week's best. We loved all the replies, from the funny ones sent in by Sue Wallace, Becki, Keiko4, and the McNasty Social Worker, to the serious pleas for Derek's affection, and even the novella from TheDirtyMistress.

Another strong Caption Contest showing this week by Grey's Anatomy Insider readers, who proposed 69 captions for the picture below.

You guys make it tough on us, but there can be only one champion. We were amused, in particular, by entries sent in by Jennifer, Julie, Shell, Kat, and Katt (who may or may not be the same person). But we eventually decided that Jeremy is our weekly winner. Congratulations!

It's the Silver Anniversary Caption Contest: Number 25. Actually, we're not even sure if that's right. The silver part, that is. But no matter. Once again, Grey's Anatomy fans tested their mettle by submitting they thought would make the best caption for the image below, taken from "I Am a Tree."

It was a good effort by all of you, with 56 quality responses. Submissions by Shell, Deron and Caroline almost won it. But ultimately, we had to go with the caption sent in by Grey -- even if we seriously doubt it's his or her real name. You can see the winning entry below the picture. In the 24th Insider Caption Contest, and the first of Season 3, we received a total of 68 submissions for the image below, taken from "Time Has Come Today."

TJ, Caroline, Rebecca, and a certain Burke Backer all made us laugh with their replies. In the end, however, we had to go with Liz as this week's winner. Her caption now appears underneath the image. Good showing in this week's Caption Contest, friends. A record 81 replies, many of which were seriously funny... and many of which were quite similar. Lots of captions about black panties and MerDer love, that's for sure. 

While we particularly enjoyed submissions from Jose (R.I.P, Doc), Robby and Merel (the first Caption Contest entry to actually reference the Caption Contest), we had to go with Jen in the end. The winning caption, which appears beneath the picture, is every girl's take on the situation, yet articulated in a particularly amusing way.

Another Insider Caption Contest in the books. This week's contest features the newest full-time member of the Grey's Anatomy cast, Dr. Callie Torres (played by Sara Ramirez). A lot of fans have strong opinions about Callie, as evidenced by your replies.

M.D.E. was all about O'Callie love. E.M. ripped Callie's sanitary habits (and residence). Allison lamented the lack of Emmys won by Grey's Anatomy. Brianna alluded to next week's season premiere, while Katt also took a shot.

Wow. Solid Caption Contest this week, fans. Almost 50 replies, many of them great, is a step in the right direction. Your efforts made for a tough challenge here at Grey's Anatomy Insider HQ.

Props to Joss for what must be the first-ever Ellis Grey reference in Caption Contest history -- and to Justin and syatus for their timely Emmy Awards comments. We also enjoyed Bobert's effort and Kara's simple declaration. In the end, though, we had to pick Rebecca.

Another week, another Caption Contest complete. This week's was certainly quality in terms of responses received, and picking one winner was a tall order. Manuela's scathing indictment of Addy, Rebecca's conspiracy theory, Nicole K.'s witty punch line and Justin's long-winded, highly amusing dialogue were all worthy efforts and given consideration.

Ultimately, though, we're going with SR as this week's winner. Something about this short and sweet caption just stood out.
