I liked the episode but I didn't love it. Which is disappointing cause Krista wrote it and I usually love everything she writes. It's not her fault though, I just felt like because they were trying to include three holidays in one episode...everything just felt choppy. I think it would have worked better as a two hour episode but unfortunately it couldn't happen.
I love Bailey but I felt like we got so much, maybe too much of her.
I also feel like I got jipped out of a final moment for Mark and Lexie. I can't help it, I love them, and I felt like there should have been a final moment for them. And I definitely think because of that scene with Lexie/Sloan Riley, we'll be seeing Mark possibly trying to play referee and I think Mark/Lexie's problems will stem from that. I really hope they make it, because I honestly adore them.
Owen/Cristina fans were definitely spoiled tonight, but that's okay, their cute.
Calzona fans, man! They didn't spend neither Christmas or New Year's together. It's okay though, they have strong relationship.
I also wish there had been more Alex. I missed him.

I'm don't know if Mer is protecting the chief or giving him enough rope to hang himself. Either way Derek is going to freak when he finds out.

I thought the episode was just ok. I wished for a bit more Meredith and Derek and definitely an ending for Lexie and Mark, I love them together and I really don't like Mark's daughter. I am hoping that she won't break Lexie and Mark up because they are great together. I guess for the holiday episode I was hoping for more coupley things though Owen and Cristina scenes were nice. And there was a bit too much Bailey and her father for me. My biggest fear with Meredith and the Chief is not how Derek will take it (which will be bad, but we know they will be together.) but what the Chief will do to Meredith emotionally... I can't believe no more new episodes till January.
On a side note do you notice how they reuse people like the patient currently on Private Practice was Burke's friend in Season 2 or 3 of Grey's the one where his wife is pregnant and he's sterile. This is not the first time I noticed it. Just thought I'd mention it.

i thought this episode was good but i think they went through the holidays a little to quick it should of been a two hour episode.
there was only one Calzona scene!!!!! i really think they should have more scenes together because they are so cute together and if the scene where they had a quick peck is the scene that shonda tweeted about then its not enough i want more

I thought it was a great show tonight. I'm sad there won't be another one until Jan :(
The singing in the OR was hilarious. Alex and Cristina cracked me up. They sure as hell were not about to get kicked off Bailey's service, lol.
LOOOOVED the Owen and Cristina scenes. I'm a huge Owenstina fan so of course it was great to see the love! I'm happy Owen told Teddy he loves Cristina and NOT her! HAHAHA sucka!
I almost pissed in my pants from laughing at the Chief while he was doing his little drunk dance at the bar. I'm curious to see what is going to happen with him/Mer/Der in Jan.
Ohhh.....did I say I loved the Owenstina material?? hehe.

I also agree that the three holidays in one episode didn't leave room for much story, and that there was too much of Bailey. Her father showing up was a good idea, but it was just too much. There coul've been more Calzona, for example, or Alex.
By the way, where the heck was Alex in the episode??? I really missed him and his character is really lost without Izzie.
I really hope they work it through cause they're one of my favorite couples!
Now Mark and Lexie and the daughter is a good storyline. Can't wait to see what's next on that. And I really hope Mexie go through it, cause they are my other favorite couple ;)
Well, now it's wait and see what awaits ys in 2010.

Where can I go to find the songs?

I agree about Bailey. I thought that dinner scene was going to be something lighthearted but it turned into a dramatic showdown between Bailey and her father, which is cool--great, but I wanted something more. I mean all these people at one table, it could have been a splendid scene. But I guess Bailey's speech was supposed to touch everyone in that scene, effect them in some way I guess.

What happened to the Grey's we all fell in love with. I'd like to see the great stories again.

Hope the GA folks read this. I love Owen and Cristina, so I was completely grateful that they are together, but the drama with Teddy is so manufactured. It makes no sense that Owen, such a good, solid guy, would bring someone he used to have REALLY INTENSE feelings for (as McKidd's beet red face and clenched teeth told us) as a mentor for Cristina. I can get that he loved someone else, got over it, and truly loves Cristina now, but no person with half a brain would have brought Teddy in. Also, I now Cristina is supposed to be intensely focused, but she should have grown a bit in the bedside manner department by now; it's season six! That being said, KEEP OWENSTINA TOGETHER Shonda!!!!
