Can I please just rave about how much I loved last night's episode? I think it finally got back to the fabulousness of the previous seasons. Among the things I loved:
-Cristina's "bitches" comment...so funny...and that kiss with Jackson- he's hot, she's hot, they're hot together. I liked her and Owen for a while, but I feel like lately he hasn't made any effort to really SEE her the way he asked her to see him...I don't know, I kind of want something to happen between her and Jackson
-Wallace Anderson...somehow when the door opened on him wearing scrubs and a coat he seriously looked like he could be a little mini-Burke! It might've been the glasses and the look of skepticism
-Arizona is really growing on me-I hated her at first, and now I see her as not just an annoyingly bright and shiny person, but as a strong, compassionate woman who sticks to her convictions. I'm glad she told the Chief to get out of her OR, and didn't cry about it either, and I'm glad Callie was supportive of her
The only things that bugged me were Happy Mer (I'm glad she's happy, it's just that it's a little bit creepy, and I liked Dark & Twisty Mer commiserating with Cristina at a bar much more than I like Bright & Shiny philosopical Mer), and the preview with Izzie coming back. It was kind of refreshing to have her character disappear for a bit.
Okay, that's all. Now I'll find another thread so I can rave about Private Practice.
No hating. I'm starting to like Jackson/Cris more. Something is off with Hunt but he's annoying me. Needs redemption.
Also, the possibilities that Izzie might be actually pregnant are very slim. Remember that Izzie had IL2 treatments, those are stronger than chemo.
That being said, if you look on cancer sites, doctors recommend that a woman waits AT LEAST six months off cancer medications (chemo, IL2, radiation) before trying to conceive. Izzie has missed one dose and in GA timeline, she has been off medication for less than a month. In chemo treatments, you can have some (counted treatments) during the second trimester of the pregnancy. Izzie isn't doing chemo, she's doing IL2.
Also, another site suggested that in mice, IL2 doesn't has an infertile effect on a woman, however the percentage of live fetuses decreased. That means that if she is pregnant, she suffers a HUGE risk of miscarriage or stillborn birth.

My guess - mer talks to a patient or she asks izzie and she negates it. showing something big like this in a promo is not a very GA/shonda - like way to introduce a storyline.
And - don't hate me for this - I like Jackson and Cristina together and I also don't hate Reed. Alex deserves someone who is just there, he deserves another friend besides Meredith. I actually think that he deserves another woman who desires him after all he went through (although I don't think that Reed is going to fall in love with him, because come on, that would be so predictable.. and I don't think that alex is going to be a jerk now and cheat on iz)
IT is possible to become pregnant while on Chemo. The eggs are harvested as "insurance" in case the fertility is damaged.
I've been thinking it for a while and now I am pretty convinced that Izzie is gonna be pregnant. But I don't think that's why she ran off and left.

Okay, what are we going to call Cristina/Jackson? CRACKSON? I think so! That said, I'm getting annoyed with Hunt. While I do agree that he does keep her in check, I don't feel like he GETS Cristina. What she did was rogue and hostile and SO Cristina and he just doesn't get it.
I never thought I'd say this, but I kinda like Crackson. Although, I think Cristina semi-reciprocated the kiss because Jackson gets the hotness of it all... and that's something that she's not getting from Owen.
And as horrible as this is, Happy Mer is kinda getting on my nerves. I like that she's happy, but Dark And Twisty Mer was so much edgier.
CALLIE AND ARIZONA - so great. More affection is needed, obviously, but hell, we got I Love You's! So sweet. I love them together.
From the promos, Izzie looks pretty annoying. I'm over her. And that says a lot because I used to be the biggest Izzie fan. I actually kind of like Alex and Reed too. Don't throw garbage at me now...

Finally Callie and Arizona said they love you. AWESOME!!!! This was a great episode, wish their fight scene hasnt been interrupted by Owen/Christina but oh well. I wish Callie had went and hugged AZ right as she started crying. I agree that the lack of affection is annoying, the little peck goodbye was about it tonight. There should have been more between them after they said I love you to each other. I hope there will be more of them in the next episode, I didnt really see AZ in the previews for next week.

Arizona robins is the best!! She's unbelievably likeable. Jessica Capshaw rocks and I'm so glad that she's part of Grey's. The one who cast her should get a medal. Bravo :)

The episode was wonderful EXCEPT what the hell is up with the way Calliope and Arizona are being written together? I love them as a couple, but they didn't even hug in this episode, much less kiss, even chastely. It's all wrong. Hetero couples are falling into bed together. Ice queens are being kissed. Hot Amazon Callie and Sweet Magical Arizona don't even get a hug? Come on, Shonda!
First of all, Loved this episode. I'm very pleased with the writing this season considering the leads and some of my favorites weren't around. I have to say I love Alex and Izzie, they are my absolute favorites, so after watching the promos for next weeks episode I was a little confused partially because Izzie was hateful and because is it just me or did anyone else hear Meredith ask someone (I thought it was Izzie) if they were pregnant? Well I got to wondering if she was even capable of becoming pregnant with her current condition. So I looked on ABC News Health and they had questions that Eva Singletary, M.D., Associate Director at Anderson Cancer Center had answered for people. The first question was: Will I be able to get pregnant after chemotherapy treatment? And she said “For women who have received chemotherapy and their menstrual cycles return back to normal, they are able to have children without any problems. And their rate of being able to have that child is very similar to women who have not had chemotherapy, as well as their menstrual cycle is functioning normally.”
So if Izzie has stopped her treatments then it is possible for her to become pregnant the old-fashioned way, but she was still undergoing treatment so I don't think she is preggers. Plus, knowing Grey’s and Shonda, the promos are very deceiving and Meredith could be joking or asking someone else I guess we’ll just have to wait for next Thursday. Or perhaps the Canadian promos will be different as they usually are and shed more light on it. Anywayz soooo excited for next week and this season. Lots to come! Izzie will be back which means drama between her, alex and probably skanky Reed. Cristina gets her cardio-godDESS which means drama between her, Teddy, Owen and maybe even perhaps McHOTTY Jackson. Can't wait.

Am I the only one who has adjusted to the loss of George and Izzie and now kinda resents her coming back all hateful like? You just don't walk out on a marriage with a note and go all non communicado for weeks and then show up angry still.
Love Cristina. She is hilarious as always. Am trying to be patient with Owen. He is trying to teach her and he is using a different approach than the over permissive Burke. The lessons she is learning from Owen will make her a better Dr. Is hard to watch him be cold toward her but he is at least a professional at work. We saw some heat when he was yelling at her. Its in there, we just need to see it come out and redirect.
Figured Kim Raver was going to be a comrade from his Iraq days.I think we are going to learn a lot about Owen through her eyes once she is on board and we will probably feel differently about him. Besides, he brought Cristina what she has been asking for--a cardio God.
I can't agree with the people who are encouraging something with Jackson. He is a tool. Just because Owen doesn't fall down at her feet doesn't make him a bad guy. I think it makes him a stronger character to tell her no and disappoint her so she can grow than it would if he just let her run the show. She is such a dominant personality that she needs to be checked now and then.
Reed is growing on me but more in a fungal kind of way. She seems pretty predatory and I am not sure I like that about her. I think she is trying to do the right thing but would prefer her befriending a different SG-er if she wants to belong so bad. If she is going to be a long term character they need to not make her a poisonous viper.
I don't know about everyone else but as much as I am loving these recent epi's of this season, I need some heat from our established couples before they CODE!!!

Loved the episode! However, the lack of affection between Callie and Arizona is crazy. Is that because of Callie? Because, like Arizona said she was there for Callie. When Callie's dad said that he was disowning her, Arizona was there and she gave her a hug. After Callie had the fight with her dad, qouting bible verses, Arizona was there and she comforted Callie. But, it seems that Callie doesn't know how the give that back to Arizona. When Arizona ran from the party, Callie didn't know what to do at first, then she runs after her. That's my take on it. Maybe now that Callie knows that Arizona loves her things will change.

Agreed on the Owen/Cristina relationship. Cristina needs to get on the Jackson train! She is waiting around for Owen to be like Burke, well, he's not and he never can be!
I wish we could get a few Alex/critina scenes since they are the only two original interns around lately. They have had a good relationship at times in the past, no reason why they can't bond a little now. Stop trying so hard to bring in all the new chracters - you have to keep the old characters we love together involved with each other! those of us who have been watchin since day 1 live for those scenes! I'm glad Meredith will be back next week! I hope that will help!

I agree with every word you said, phobo. The three-second kiss with Jackson and bucking Owen in surgery to FINALLY show off what she learned while she was with Burke are the two best things that have happened for Christina in a long, long time. Owen is not manly, he's just a a guy with too must testosterone and a lot of emotional issues. He's not a bad person, but he's also definately not for Cristina. I never got the impression she wanted to be a baby sitter or an undervalued surgeon. She's compromised herself by being with him - frankly, I don't see how they ever got together in the first place. I think she may be finally starting to realize that. I think she stayed in that kiss for three seconds because it felt good to be with someone who thinks she is hot and talented instead of someone who spends 90% of the relationship crying in her arms, ignoring her, making fun of her, picking other ppl for surgeries, or yelling at her.
I think it says a lot that Jackson helped her do what she needed to do in the surgery and that she asked him what he thought about her actions. Lately Cristina has been worn down to the point where she needs that kind of assurance, that kind of recognition, and Owen sure isn't giving it to her. he's too busy NOT paging her for surgeries and then joking about it behind her back. Jackass. I think Cristina stopped the kiss with Jackson because she wants to give Owen another chance to SEE her. When she was trying to tell him that what she dd in the surgery is her, and he said he doesn't see that, she got that dead looking face, like she was giving up. That is the worst possible thing he could have said. I think at that point she remembered what Meredith said and wanted to get him home to give him yet another chance, but the damage is done. She will either change who she is completely to be with him, or she will dump him. I don't see him changing for her, and I wouldn't care if he wanted to. I'm sooooo over Owen!!!!!! His "friend" from Iraq can marry him and have ten babies with him for all I care. Cristina needs be appreciated, and if Jackson can do that for her, and smoke up the screen like he did tongiht, I am all for it!! I doubted their chemistry when I fist got wind of this, and i doubted he could hol his own next to sandra, but their convo and kiss was definately HOT. Flaming hot. Go there, Cristina. Just, go there.
Also, we are in dire need of some good old lunch room/joe's bar banter. And the happy meredith is annoying me, too. I like her happy with Derek, but that doesn't mean she can't humor Cristina when she needs to gripe - that was always one of the best parts of the show for me, and I hope they don't take that away!
That was great!! I loved Arizona.. she is so sweet and great!! So sad that her patient died:(.
Alex so HOTTT!! And he is so cute with the baby. Reed totally wantsss him.
Owen is like the worst boyfriend ever.. I didn't like him at all last night, Cristina rocked in the OR. Jackson is so hot and I guess they will hook up sometime soon.
I love Meredith and Derek so hot and cute, and they are having sex agian:P.. yayy happily married:D Mer is so whole and healed:)
And yayy nexy week is going to return to Seattle Grace, I guess scrub in with Derek and totally making out with him after the surgery. The promo looks so good:)
But Izzie is being a total BITCH. Ughhh. I hope Alex won't take her back. Blame him for getting fired?? And who is pregnant?? Maybe Mer heard wrong or something. Can't wait!!

Ok Owen has to be the world's worst boyfriend. This is not the first episode I've hated him for the way he's treated Cristina and next week when he brings in his supposed former colleague (I'm guessing they were also involved) "for Cristina" ullch. What an ass. Poor Cristina! Nothing has gone right for her since Burke left her at the alter but I absolutely love her cynicism and I was right there with her telling Mer to shut up with her happy crap tonight. She should've kept at it with Jackson- he's like eight hundred times hotter than Hunt and he's actually her age.
The two Mer scenes I really just wanted to wring her around the neck because all this happy is getting annoying.
I was sad to see so little of Derek and Bailey this week and it seems like all of Alex's scenes now are just with Reed. Without George and for now Izzie, there's no camraderie moments in the cafeteria anymore, no bonds between the remainging characters.
Arizona Robbins though tonight= rockstar!!! I kind of like how Shonda has taken the opportunity to do focus episodes on Derek and then Arizona to make up for the fact that there is no Izzie, George, and basically no Mer.
For a moment there I was really scarred Arizona and Callie would break up and it wasn't until just then that I realized how much I liked them as a couple. At Arizona's party though when Callie was talking to Arizona outside, Callie totally could've been more sensitive though. I really wanted to see a hug there. The thing at the end was lame but the ending "I love yous" were a perfect end.
Mark and Lexie tonight...well they were there, not really much going on there but I did laugh at Lexie about the suprise party thing.
The chief finally came around and although he's still not talking to Derek, I love how he stuck up for Arizona. Before this episode I was sorta on the fence about AR becoming a regular. Now, I'm off- WELCOME ARIZONA!

i have to say that i am pissed at Izzie. i don't really like her anymore her character is just bugging me. Dr. Reed though i really growing on me! i think her and Alex are super cute :) Jackson and Christina though.... i just cant see it. i don't really like her with Owen right now either......
Meredith and Derek though are adorable. They are and always will be T.V.'s best couple! if onlt they were together in real life!!!

Not enough Derek, he needs to be the lead actor. Jessica Capshaw did a great job with her storyline. Get rid of the Mercy Westers and concentrate on the characters and when one is out doing a movie, concentrate on the other 11 characters. Seriously!!

I wish we could get a few Alex/critina scenes since they are the only two original interns around lately. They have had a good relationship at times in the past, no reason why they can't bond a little now. Stop trying so hard to bring in all the new chracters - you have to keep the old characters we love together involved with each other! those of us who have been watchin since day 1 live for those scenes! I'm glad Meredith will be back next week! I hope that will help!

I agree with every word you said, phobo. The three-second kiss with Jackson and bucking Owen in surgery to FINALLY show off what she learned while she was with Burke are the two best things that have happened for Christina in a long, long time. Owen is not manly, he's just a a guy with too must testosterone and a lot of emotional issues. He's not a bad person, but he's also definately not for Cristina. I never got the impression she wanted to be a baby sitter or an undervalued surgeon. She's compromised herself by being with him - frankly, I don't see how they ever got together in the first place. I think she may be finally starting to realize that. I think she stayed in that kiss for three seconds because it felt good to be with someone who thinks she is hot and talented instead of someone who spends 90% of the relationship crying in her arms, ignoring her, making fun of her, picking other ppl for surgeries, or yelling at her.
I think it says a lot that Jackson helped her do what she needed to do in the surgery and that she asked him what he thought about her actions. Lately Cristina has been worn down to the point where she needs that kind of assurance, that kind of recognition, and Owen sure isn't giving it to her. he's too busy NOT paging her for surgeries and then joking about it behind her back. Jackass. I think Cristina stopped the kiss with Jackson because she wants to give Owen another chance to SEE her. When she was trying to tell him that what she dd in the surgery is her, and he said he doesn't see that, she got that dead looking face, like she was giving up. That is the worst possible thing he could have said. I think at that point she remembered what Meredith said and wanted to get him home to give him yet another chance, but the damage is done. She will either change who she is completely to be with him, or she will dump him. I don't see him changing for her, and I wouldn't care if he wanted to. I'm sooooo over Owen!!!!!! His "friend" from Iraq can marry him and have ten babies with him for all I care. Cristina needs be appreciated, and if Jackson can do that for her, and smoke up the screen like he did tongiht, I am all for it!! I doubted their chemistry when I fist got wind of this, and i doubted he could hol his own next to sandra, but their convo and kiss was definately HOT. Flaming hot. Go there, Cristina. Just, go there.
Also, we are in dire need of some good old lunch room/joe's bar banter. And the happy meredith is annoying me, too. I like her happy with Derek, but that doesn't mean she can't humor Cristina when she needs to gripe - that was always one of the best parts of the show for me, and I hope they don't take that away!
Ok, I'm done. Whew! Good episode!

That was great!! I loved Arizona.. she is so sweet and great!! So sad that her patient died:(.
Alex so HOTTT!! And he is so cute with the baby. Reed totally wantsss him.
Owen is like the worst boyfriend ever.. I didn't like him at all last night, Cristina rocked in the OR. Jackson is so hot and I guess they will hook up sometime soon.
I love Meredith and Derek so hot and cute, and they are having sex agian:P.. yayy happily married:D Mer is so whole and healed:)
And yayy nexy week is going to return to Seattle Grace, I guess scrub in with Derek and totally making out with him after the surgery. The promo looks so good:)
But Izzie is being a total BITCH. Ughhh. I hope Alex won't take her back. Blame him for getting fired?? And who is pregnant?? Maybe Mer heard wrong or something. Can't wait!!

Ok Owen has to be the world's worst boyfriend. This is not the first episode I've hated him for the way he's treated Cristina and next week when he brings in his supposed former colleague (I'm guessing they were also involved) "for Cristina" ullch. What an ass. Poor Cristina! Nothing has gone right for her since Burke left her at the alter but I absolutely love her cynicism and I was right there with her telling Mer to shut up with her happy crap tonight. She should've kept at it with Jackson- he's like eight hundred times hotter than Hunt and he's actually her age.
The two Mer scenes I really just wanted to wring her around the neck because all this happy is getting annoying.
I was sad to see so little of Derek and Bailey this week and it seems like all of Alex's scenes now are just with Reed. Without George and for now Izzie, there's no camraderie moments in the cafeteria anymore, no bonds between the remainging characters.
Arizona Robbins though tonight= rockstar!!! I kind of like how Shonda has taken the opportunity to do focus episodes on Derek and then Arizona to make up for the fact that there is no Izzie, George, and basically no Mer.
For a moment there I was really scarred Arizona and Callie would break up and it wasn't until just then that I realized how much I liked them as a couple. At Arizona's party though when Callie was talking to Arizona outside, Callie totally could've been more sensitive though. I really wanted to see a hug there. The thing at the end was lame but the ending "I love yous" were a perfect end.
Mark and Lexie tonight...well they were there, not really much going on there but I did laugh at Lexie about the suprise party thing.
The chief finally came around and although he's still not talking to Derek, I love how he stuck up for Arizona. Before this episode I was sorta on the fence about AR becoming a regular. Now, I'm off- WELCOME ARIZONA!

i have to say that i am pissed at Izzie. i don't really like her anymore her character is just bugging me. Dr. Reed though i really growing on me! i think her and Alex are super cute :) Jackson and Christina though.... i just cant see it. i don't really like her with Owen right now either......
Meredith and Derek though are adorable. They are and always will be T.V.'s best couple! if onlt they were together in real life!!!

Not enough Derek, he needs to be the lead actor. Jessica Capshaw did a great job with her storyline. Get rid of the Mercy Westers and concentrate on the characters and when one is out doing a movie, concentrate on the other 11 characters. Seriously!!
