Happy Birthday, Katherine Heigl!
Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl turns 31 today. As Dr. Izzie Stevens, she's played a bit of a strange role in Season 6 of Grey's Anatomy - one that was heavily involved in the beginning, after last season's cliffhanger ending, but who hasn't been too involved at times since.
Still, we look forward to seeing her on the show for years to come ... hopefully. Here's a little photo tribute to the original Grey's Anatomy cast member and new adoptive mom ...

Is the "adoptive" mom part really necessary - she's just a mom, whether her child came by birth or adoption. Adding the adoptive part is not necessary, it cheapens it.

J, I agree with you. Adoption means Naleigh just came from her heart and not her belly. She's still a mom, no matter what.
