Grey's Anatomy Spoilers: Izzie and the Chief
We've been debating this week whether Izzie could be pregnant on Grey's Anatomy. We have our doubts, but according to EW's Michael Ausiello, there is another Izzie surprise in store for us soon. Meanwhile, Richard's stress apparently boils over tonight.
Here's what EW's spoiler Q&A reveals this morning ...
Q: Is Izzie really pregnant on Grey’s Anatomy?
A: I'll say this: ABC's promo gurus are very sneaky! While we’re on the subject of Katherine Heigl, sources confirm that she’s taking another leave of absence from Grey’s Anatomy this season - but this time her reasons are personal and not professional.
Heigl will be going on a belated maternity leave to spend some QT with new adopted daughter Naleigh. As a result, Izzie will be MIA for another string of episodes (most likely in early 2010).
What do you think prompts Izzie's second departure from SGH?
Q: Please tell me something will happen soon on Grey’s Anatomy that will make me stop hating the Chief! I used to love him but this season has been terrible!
A: Would the sight of him falling off the wagon do the trick? 'Cause that’s what happens at the end of this week’s episode, "New History."

The chief's stress levels must be megga plus plus for him to topple off his soberity wagon. Will he be able to hide it from his wife and his colleagues?

The chief has been really quite annoying this Season... firing people left and right, and refusing to admit his own mistakes.
And arghhh I just want to watch the episode already to find out what's happening with Izzie. I don't think she's pregnant, but then again, who else is it? Not sure if it's just another Promo trick or not (would be quite annoying if it was though).
And I'm guessing that wherever Izzie has been for the past 3 episodes is where she will go back to during the 2nd leave of absence. I just hope the explanation about where she went is a good explanation!

oh poor chief! i've really hated the way he's acted with his big ego, god complex thing, but i really loved how we saw little bit of the old him last episode when he told the board guy to shut up. but for him to start drinking again....that really sucks

I think the chief is just trying to find a doctor to yell
at like when Arizona guarded the door for Derek he got angry
he needs to calm down otherwise the hospital will go down hill and quickly :/

Is the Hollidaze episode next week? It's episode 10 and that's when GA generally stops pre the new year, and there's generally a cliff hanger which I assume will be the chief hitting the bottle again.
Send him to an AA meeting quick. He's alienated his one friend at SGMWH, that's Der. Perhaps Der will sacrifice his career again to help his friend?

aaaaa... what is wrong with izzie and alex? i feel sooo sorry for alex all the time!.. she didn't even call when she was away!!.. ALEX WAS SO WORRIED SICK! and she didn't even CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dont think izzies pregnant, I think her pregnancy from the past comes back. MAYBE, this is far stretched, but maybe she reconnects with her daughter, and they bond..over idk...cancer?

Derek to the rescue, just as the Chief rescued him when he went awol. I hope this brings them to being friends again, I missed their friendship/mentorship.
Izzie, who cares if she is there or not I, for one, did not miss her last time. She was so quick to blame Alex, the Chief only mentioned his name before she had her hissy fit and stormed off. Alex has enough of his own emotional baggage without taking on hers as well, even though he loves her

I hope that alex drops Izzie like a hot potatoe!! She so doesn't deserve Alex, and she treated him soooo badly. He needs someone and he deserves someone who will be there for him. Izzie needs to leave. Bottom line.

Izzie is taking a break again this season??? I thought the first break was to spend time with her daughter while filming her movie. i guess she really can't handle being on set without her bff t.r knight. I bet you she's going to quit at the end of this season permanently, mark my words.
And no, i dont think she's pregnant, i think her old teacher who has dementia blurts out that she's pregnant because he's reliving the time when she was 16 and pregnant and meredith overhears and asks her if she's pregnant now. Just another promo teaser to get you to watch tonights episode....
