Below is the first installment of the new Grey's Anatomy "webisode" series, Seattle Grace On Call. Filmed documentary style at Joe's Bar, the web-only series takes us behind the scenes of some of the show's lesser-known characters (including some Mercy Westers).
Check it out below and tell us what you think ...
Here's a nightmare scenario for you if you ever have surgery, or even watch it on TV. Check out E! Online's teaser for an upcoming episode of Grey's Anatomy today ...
Q: Anything on Grey's Anatomy?
A: You know how there are often parallels between the storylines for Grey's Anatomy doctors and what their patients are going through?
Well, we're a little worried about an upcoming episode where it seems producers are taking a page from an old Nip/Tuck episode: The anesthesia doesn't work on a patient and she wakes up during her surgery and is conscious through terrible agonies of pain.
Whose life do you think that reflects?
Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl turns 31 today. As Dr. Izzie Stevens, she's played a bit of a strange role in Season 6 of Grey's Anatomy - one that was heavily involved in the beginning, after last season's cliffhanger ending, but who hasn't been too involved at times since.
Still, we look forward to seeing her on the show for years to come ... hopefully. Here's a little photo tribute to the original Grey's Anatomy cast member and new adoptive mom ...

Krista Vernoff, Grey's Anatomy executive producer and the head writer on last week's episode, "Holidaze" has posted some thoughts on the episode on the show's official writers' blog.
Below are excerpts, with a link at the bottom to the full entry ...

Can we talk about the hot hot hot HOT Owen Cristina kissing??? Oh my God, I’m like a fan girl, I can’t help it. And how about the scene where Owen whispered into Teddy’s mouth, “I’m in love with Cristina.” I wrote it. I pictured it. But when I saw it?
I seriously threw up a little in my mouth.
It was SO brutal – and what was so brutal is that Owen didn’t mean to be brutal. He clearly loves them both. Which is impossible. And devastating. I mean it – how could Teddy not love him? Playing guitar one minute, torturedly whispering into her mouth the next.
There’s so much more in this episode – Mark Sloan becoming the sexiest Grandpa on TV and Meredith making a deal with the devil and Arizona and Derek and Mark paying their own hard-earned money to save the life of a very sick little boy.
It made my heart happy, that story. And so did the story of the woman living without a heart for all that time and surviving. Both of those stories were our little gift to you, to send you into this holiday season with a little more hope and optimism.

These two did everything to save their patient. Even pay for his treatment.
Katherine Heigl and her adopted daughter were spotted over the weekend stopping by her sister's house. Katherine's sister, Meg, was adopted from Korea, and recently had a baby.
Inspired by her own sister, Heigl and her husband, Josh Kelley, recently adopted baby Naleigh from Korea! The Grey's Anatomy star and singer became parents a few months ago.
Here's the new mom making her exit ...

What did you think of last night's Grey's Anatomy? How did it stack up with recent weeks? Do you like what you see this season overall? Comment away!
Private Practice was in vintage form last night after the car-trapping drama of last week. Family drama, deep-rooted issues, old characters and tear-jerking moments abound.
Addison's dad, "The Captain," made an appearance, and let's just say the two aren't on the best of terms. Cooper and Charlotte are also going at it about their non-wedding.
Things get worse for Coop when he's arrested after refusing to cooperate in a case involving Evan, the abused child from last season. Once again, he carried the episode.
Pete was right behind him, battling to keep a terminally ill patient alive long enough for him to meet his new daughter. These two guys are becoming the reason for the show.

Addison and her father aren't exactly close. That's putting it nicely.
