Last night, Grey's Anatomy turned in another terrific episode as Meredith made a wonderful decision to help her ailing father, Thatcher, if only for her little half-sister's sake.
Things didn't turn out nearly as well in Izzie's world, as she treated a fellow cancer patient who failed to make it. Owen told Izzie she can't be both a surgeon and a patient.
Mark had a lot of face time this week as he vied for a bigger role in Lexie's world, and helped out an elderly patient who needed a new "apparatus." That was pretty funny.
Lastly, the looming budget cuts continue to take their toll on residents.

i think that the episode has been so and so .mER don't say a word in some scene and she speaks very little with derek.tHE Great heigl 's performan ,where is it?i don't see it.MY heart bleeds when i see cri cries.I LOVE the scene with Alex and the bear ;the scene when Derek calls Mer is wife ...and cri says must a pinis surgery ,it is very good...for the last time i don't know think say..

Awesome episode. The Mer/Thatcher/Lexie storyline was really well played. I actually cried.
Gotta say, on a more personal note, I was also loving the many half naked alex scenes :D
Anyone know what the music was in the closing scene. Aqualung perhaps? It was really beautiful .

Well, there have been better episodes. I am not a fan of Izzie, but this patient had to be more important for her.
I think because of there are already this many characters there is just not the time for everyone anymore.
To be honesty I am glad this episode did not become to sentimental. But I hope so much what Mer said about the chance to improof the relationship between her and her father is not going to come true. That would not be realistic anymore. Excited about what is gonna happen to the others characters, which have a little time to show more of them =)
