Seattle Grace is getting ready to merge with Mercy West, which means more new residents coming in and competing for the same jobs with our gang. Like it or not, the first promo for next week's show suggests one of our own could be on the chopping block. Gulp.
Who do you think will get cut, if anybody? Are you excited for any of the new faces coming to Grey's Anatomy this season? What do you make of this merger story line in general?

Ok just a thought. Cristina went to The Chief in last nights episode and asked to be cut from the program if she couldn’t use her gift because she said she’d rather be cut than not be able to learn. That being said if you look at 6.5’s spoiler pics you’ll notice Izzie and a Korean looking woman (could that be Cristina’s mother/relation) in The Chief’s office, now what would bring the three of them together. I think Yang gets cut and Izzie goes to tell the Cheif it should be her instead. Leaving Cristina with a job and Izzie w/out one explaining her 5 non-consecutive episode leave. During that time I bet they show Izzie going to cancer support groups and more than likely putting a strain on her and Alex’s relationship. Maybe this is far fetched but if you look at Chyler Leigh’s spoilers you’ll notice that she says people get cut that you wouldn’t expect and everyone is expecting Izzie to be the one to get cut. Plus, The Ausiello’s spoiler goes on about her performance and how it’s unexpected. Honestly, I wouldn’t expect her to stand up and say cut me instead. I don’t know maybe this is completely off. Isn't there a storyline coming up about a death in the ER and all the residents have to defend their treatment of the patient. It could be that Izzie is the one who takes the fall for it.

It's not Cristina. She's in the promo pics for 6.06 and the cut is made next week, 6.05.
The reason everyone expects to be Izzie is because of KH's leave and it has been released that she is the one being cut.
CL's interview wasn't that surprising. She said that last night's episode would have a surprising ending and it turned out the way everyone expected.
I'm still a little off on the merger but I hope it gets better, meaning get rid of the new characters and stick to the old ones.

I think that this merger storyline is sort of used to make everyone (the audience included) uncomfortable. And I am really looking forward to it, because just as in life, you can't always be comfortable. You have to be pushed outside of your comfort zone and learn to accept and deal with it, just as the SGH doctors are learning. Also, it's trying to rile everyone up, and I love it. If a show can get evoke an emotional response out of me like that, then I applaud the writers and the actors. (Of course, I'm rooting for the SGH doctors!)

i dont think izzie will be the person who`ll be out..
they also show alex christina and derek when they say that.. i think it`s going to be a surprise, a big surprise..

I do applaud the writer's for making such a great show. They have finally left merder alone so that they may be happy, but still merder. I like the character acing on the show. Yang is still the surgery hunter and Izzy is still full of love and hope for everyone who walks in the door. I do like the plot line for now, but I am so worried that they will make th ewrong cut. One wrong cut and it could break the show. I love all of the characters and I will continue to watch to see where it goes. This show makes me laugh, cry, and get mad all in one. I hope they do not cut Bailey or Merideth. Bailey is awesome. I highly doubt they will ever cut derick loose, he is the reason most of us gals watch the show. I have no idea, the writers have me guessing, which I guess is good, but I am worried. LOL. I love my show and everyone on it. They need to keep the original characters and lose the mercy west gang. This is just my opinion though, and everyone has an opinion.

I saw in the 6x05 episode some pics where there was more docs than patientes .So why must go cristina o izzie? the mercy west docs must lose the match ,the original docs must be in SGH...tHIS IS GA ,and it isn't ER...

I think Izzie will get cut and I really don't like that. She's not in the promo photo's for next week.
