Katherine Heigl Visits The Late Show

Katherine Heigl made a visit to The Late Show with David Letterman Monday, and complained (semi-jokingly) about returning to the set of Grey's Anatomy last week.

“Our first day back Wednesday was - I’m going to keep saying this because I hope it embarrasses them - a 17-hour day,” she said, “which I think is cruel and mean.”

“It was actually kind of really great to be back,” she added after.

“All my friends are there and at this point, they’re sort of like family, although it was a little weird because [T.R. Knight]’s not there anymore.”

Katherine Heigl remained tight-lipped about the fate of Izzie.

“You last saw Izzie, you know, flatlining,” she said.

“So, I won’t give it away but, you know, I’m there so I’m either there as a ghost, on the other side or I survived a disease no one survives.”

“I’m guessing that if you’re working 17 hours, that means you’re not dead,” Letterman said. Heigl’s reply: “What if, however, Dave, I was in a bed in a coma for 17 hours, they could do that ...” Dave responded if they did that to him, no one would know the difference.

Ba-dum-ching.

Heigl said she hopes Grey’s Anatomy, which returns to ABC on September 24, will stick around for a while - with her on it: “We have another two years, I think, at least in the contract ... Hopefully the show goes, you know, ER time, which would be cool.”

Indeed. Here's Katherine's interview on The Late Show ...

    Yeeeeeah!

    Grey's anatomy - ER time

Can you imagine? like 10 years of Grey's?

    I wish!

  2. FanDlux Says:

    agree^^

    This was an hilarious interview!!

  3. anuflas Says:

No offense to GA (is my fav. show after all) but GA doesn't have what ER had. I don't think that they'll pass S.10. ER was an institution. And she even said that she didn't want to play Izzie for that long! I think that the wrong person was killed...

As for the interview...Izzie in a coma? One can only hope. I think that she trying to be funny by "complaining" about her 17 hour work day is getting annoying. Find a new joke.

  4. anuflas Says:

Why have PD's pics from the Valentine's Day set haven't been uploaded? Those are something good to look at! (and he doesn't do annoying jokes).

  5. JFCR Says:

Have you noticed how arrogant she looks and talks?

Ah, she can be such a bitc* sometimes!

Talking about TR like that «it pissed me off» - she got to live and yet she continues to talk garbage about TR, Shonda, etc.), talking about the show like that («a 17-hour day» - yeah yeah, that show opened doors for you, ingrateful twat!)...

She puts me off big time...

  6. Jen Says:

I agree!!!! She NEVER stops bitching! I like the character of Izzie, but Katherine Heigl sucks!

  7. GreyGuy Says:

I love how genuine she is. Also love how she has a sense of humor regarding her career. So glad she's staying!

  8. !greys Says:

jesus guys, shes kidding! a freaking 17 hour day IS exhausting and i would be bitching to so stfu.
and she didn't say anything bad about t.r? she said it was weird without him.

  9. MerDer fan 4ever Says:

Ok, first, stuff for Grey's. I'm pretty convinced that she will survive, because if she was indeed filming 17 hours, well, ghost Izzie wouldn't be that important (I understand that it wasn't just she who was filming all the time, but again she was present...).
    And, second, about KH.
Sorry to all the fans, but I really dislike her. She is trying to be funny complaining about her working hours, I mean this show gave her the start, she got some good roles thanks to it (although there are a lot better actresses than her on the show, ex. Sandra Oh and Chandra Wilson who weren't that much recognized), and now she is whining about the working hours. She is getting fantastic payment for what she is doing, it has to be a little bit hard. Than, her laughter is so fake and so forced, I wanna puke when I hear it. She just doesn't know how to behave in public, it's all about her. "We thought it was chivava, I mean we were in Mexico"... Hahahahahahahaha And remember when she withdrew from the run for the Emmy, "she didn't have good material". She humiliated the writers by saying that, she was on screen more than anyone. I hate that they practically do whatever she tells them, she didn't leave just because they gave her the huge storyline, she took most of the screen time, we barely saw MerDer (Mer in particular), and I'm not even gonna mention poor George.
Ok, that's it. Sorry to all the fans, but everybody has a right for an opinion
P.S. Brunette look is weird and she was better as a blond.
P.P.S. Just for the record, I think it was a really bad move forcing T.R. to quit, it would be a lot better if they got rid of KH.

  10. jess Says:

I totally agree with MerDer fan 4ever.
I missed Mer, Der, and MerDer scenes in Season 5 (not to mention George). I really hope we'll get to see more of them (and less of KH/Izzie) in season 6!
