Is he staying? Is he going?
The debate goes on (and on, and on). But you can count Justin Chambers among those who don't want T.R. Knight to leave the cast of Grey's Anatomy.
"T.R. is an amazing actor and I want him to be there as long as I'm on there," said Chambers, who plays Dr. Alex Karev on Grey's Anatomy, to E! Online the other night at the Salvatore Ferragamo benefit for L'Aquila Earthquake victims. "He's wonderful to work with."
Besides, T.R.'s character, Dr. George O'Malley, has so much growing to do.
"That's one of the great things about the show," Justin Chambers said.
"All the characters have so much left to explore. From the beginning of the series, the audience followed these young interns coming into this hospital and now they're residents ... but they still have much more to learn as far as surgery, social skills and manners."
For her part, former Grey's Anatomy guest star Melissa George said she's not convinced that Knight is leaving the show he's been on since its 2005 premiere.
No matter what happens, she said, "He'll go on to bigger and better things."

i say tr is staying, justin made a good point there on how much they still have to learn and George was just starting out again and everything. I hope TR stays!

I kinda don't think George is going to leave, and it would be totally unfair to T.R. Knight. He hardly got any screen time this season and now he has to go?!
Even that's bit harsh for someone Shonda to do.
I'm glad that the other cast members are speaking out that it would be wrong to kill george. T.R is awesome!

I hate Alex but I love Justin. He's such a great guy and I know he and TR are close friends.
He's right. We need our George so much, and TR is awesome.
I hope Katie speaks out for our TR too.

I hope he stays... I love his character and he hasnt had much screen time this season... but his character does have a lot of growing. I'm with Justin, he should stay. He is a main character on the show same with Kathrine Heigl...the shows doing good I can't imagine the show without hime. If so, they definately cannot let him end like that. If anything he should get well and then go to the army that way he can re and then to the show. If they kill him off like that I will be pissed and this show is my favorite. I know I'm not alone on this either.

Clearly his castmates love him despite the stupid rumors. Katie, Eric, Melissa, Sara and now Justin have all rallied around him and said how great he was.
The fans love him too.
I don't get why Shonda doesn't. Whatever is going on, she should get over it, because losing George is going to hurt the show and the fans.
After everything George has been through, he deserves some happiness especially since he never let it turn him into a bitter and mean person.
He stayed sweet through it all, and he never had a mean bone to his body. That makes him a hero to me as much as stepping in front of a bus.
Now he deserves some reward, some joy in his life.
He can't just die like that.
There's so much left to do with him.
I also don't want Izzie to die, because I love her scenes with George. Their bond was always what I loved the most about the show.

you noticed how they don't metion anything about Katherine Heigl leaving the show or anything like that just T.r.Knight and saying that he is leaving the show. I am I huge fan of Izzie and Alex and i would rather see T.r. Knight go then Izzie cause i want to see the realation ship grow between Izzie and Alex now that they are married their is so much story line their that can go with them it would be nice to see them have a kid but i Like T.r. knight to he is good but he does not have much screen time anymore and Since thier is really nothing about katherine Heigl leaving the show that is telling me that she is staying on the show I don't want to see them go they are what makes greys a show

Since I loathe Izzie and Alex, I'd rather Izzie die. I seriously hate Alex and Izzie so much, I'd rather Izzie die than be with him.
I only like Izzie with George.
I think Izzie should be with George. I have never ever believed she loves Alex. She doesn't look at him like she does George, but if Shonda can't come to her senses, then kill Izzie off.
Izzie would never been with an abusive jerk like Alex. Justin might be great, but Alex makes me sick.
I'm tired of Izzie's anatomy.
George may not have muchy stories right now, but his recovery and this new girl should give him plenty to do.
Plus George is the heart and soul of Grey.
I noticed that when I didn't see it this year.
So please if you have to kill one of them, kill Izzie.
I'll stop watching if you kill George.

Alex and Izzie don't work for me either. I don't believe Izzie is in love with him. I think she loves him and lusts for him. I don't think she's in love with him. I don't think he's her soulmate. That's clearly George, and the finale showed it.
I don't think he knows what's best for her like George does. George knows her inside and out, which is why he knew she had cancer and Alex didn't.
That's also why George knew what to say to her in the finale, and Alex didn't.
I think Alex does love Izzie, but he loves her mostly because of who he sees her. This angel who can save his tarnished soul.
He loves her for what she represents to him, not the real her like George did.
So if I have to be saddled with Alex and Izzie because Shonda is terrified of their fans, I'd rather she die too.
I would have accepted her with someone else maybe, but I will never accept her with Alex or believe in them. It's clear to me and many that the only reason they are together is because Shonda is afraid of their fans.
Alex worked with Addison. He and Izzie don't work. They also have no chemistry.
I also feel as if Izzie's story is finished, while George isn't.
There is many things to do with George, absolutely nothing to do with Izzie.
I also think Alex suffers from the AI story because it doesn't allow Justin to have his own story except than to be Izzie's husband.
Justin deserves better.
So I opt they kill Izzie or keep her alive but backburner her for a while as other characters who need the spotlight more are used.
It's George's turn now.
TR and his fans have waited enough.
And to be honest, he is way more interesting and complex than Izzie could ever be.
