Bonar1 Isaiah Washington was fired. Abusive behavior at work and what I would call a human rights violations are more important issues to be dealt with than your TV watching habits. Good god. Why do people keep going on about that man? He wouldn't even apologize or fess up to it. Coward. Good riddance.

Not impressed...George was one of my favorites on the show and I am upset he wont be returning! Seriously, this show is falling apart :( Ill still watch Greys of course but it wont be the same without George...dammit!

Well if this is true I guess I'll watch the first few episodes where Izzie mourns George. Then it will be right back to her miraculous recovery and making babies with Alex. Don't think I'll stick around.

Nooo! I really hope it isn't true. George is such a kind and sincere character-I'd really miss him and his friendship with Izzie if he were gone.
If he does die, though, I imagine the season premiere will be like the time Meredith almost drowned and died, and when she woke up, she realized her mother was dead...it'll probably be like that for Izzie, she'll be resuscitated, and know that George is gone.

Well i really wish TR Knight would stay, but since that's not gonna happen i wish they would bring Isaiah Washington back for at least a while. I miss all the originial cast being together, and TR is a big deal to lose. I just hope Katherine Heigl stays.

I liked George (before this season, in this one he was not the same) but if that's what the actor wants, there is nothing we can do.
I feel a little betrayed, I can undestand if he wants do other things but he started in this show and he should have continued until the end. Because this character gave him so much and a lot of people are fans of this series and have supported him.
If the problem is Shonda, then I really don't understand it. Why couldn't she give him a better storyline? She gave it to Katherine, even after she criticized the writter, publicly.
Although other actors have had seasons where they hadn't much to do and instead of complaining they keep working hard and waiting for something better to come, they did the best for the show, not for themselves. Something neither him or Katherine knows how to do.
Honestly, I was hoping the one dying was Izzie because she is the most annoying character. but I guess they are not going to kill 2 characters at the same time.
So an entire season of more sick Izzie lies ahead of us. Cancer is a real thing and if they want to start to play it realistically, unlike they have done until now, they can not have her recovering and going back to work in less than 1 year.

Anywho, I can't, and don't want to, believe this until the day my heart drops when I find this statement is true. Those writers are gonna have to be REAL creative if they want to keep the show going along with their fans.
PS-I can't even imagine how the premiere is going to begin, but it better be good, no, it better be great.

I'm not actually a George fan, but if this really is true and he will leave, then I have to admit the show won't really feel the same anymore. I mean George has been there since the very beginning and it will actually feel a bit empty if he's not around anymore. He's one of the Fab 5 for Gods sake! All the moments with all five of the original interns is really somthing I'm gonna miss. I actually already miss them though since they have been abscent the last season.
And I can understand that T.R wanted to get out of his contract. He's really been lacking on storyline and it's just fair to let him go after treating him like that. I'm sure he doesn't want to waste his time on being signed to contract when they don't seem to see him especially useful anymore and it's just fair to let him continue his acting career.

I'm devastated. I will watch his last episode and will not watch again. I've only watched for George and now he's gone, and this is just the end of the road for me and this show. I support T.R. and hope he gets on a better show.
Agree with everyone who says this may not be offical until Shonda or ABC confirms it, or at least thats what I'll keep telling myself. The show is going to be so different without George. :(

Why should he stay? For fans who say he isn't hot enough to have a romantic interest and who want him to remain the comic relief on the show forever even though he is way too talented for that?
Yes he has a lot of fans that love him, but there are also a lot of homophobes out there who have had in it for him since he came out and those people are the ones Shonda sided with.
I for one won't watch without George. I'd rather Izzie died, she is so annoying lately and I hate Alex and Izzie.
Or that both george and Izzie died together, that way my Gizzie heart would have been happy.
I feel betrayed by Shonda. She obviously thinks a personal gradudge is more important than keeping a beloved actor and a beloved character.

Oh man, I really loved George. I get that TR wants to move on, but had anyone heard of him before Grey's? I understand he had very little to do this season, but honestly, I know dozens of people who have lost their jobs in the past year, and he gets paid the same whether or not he does anything on screen. Right now, I say the show won't be the same, but looking at all the seasons of ER I watched, and how a few episodes later you barely notice a character's gone, I think I'll be alright. That sounds kind of harsh, but I really think TR was a gifted actor, and I wish him well in whatever he chooses to pursue.

ER was never half as good when the original cast left, and ER was a show that was much much much better quality-wise. ER was baout medicine. Grey is about characters, and George is one, if not, the best character on this show.
I don't blame him. I blame Shonda. I know IW is her best friend and all, but he was the one to blame and I can't believe she took it out on TR and all of us George fans.
I'm gone afetr this. George is Grey for me.
And I'm a Gizzie fan, but I love George way more than Izzie. I wish she had left.

Not everything is about money.
He's an amazing actor and he deserves respect. Shonda clearly neither respects nor likes him, and she has been doing her best to make him leave.
If you want to blame someone, blame her. I do.
Add that to the fact that TR hasn't even said his side to the story, and I find you extra unfair.
I was going to watch the premiere than leave, but now I'm not even going to bother watching.
I forgave her for ending Gizzie, but this is too much.

I like George and T.r.knight but i kind of saw it coming he wanted out of his contract anyways and I am so glad that Izzie is going to stay like shonda sead one dies and one lives and i think that Izzie has more of a story to know that she and Alex are married and they can start having kids now I love Izzie and Alex they are my favorite and it would be nice to finally see Alex happy for once and not be such an ass and it would be great to see Them both have kids
on the description for next season on the abc website it only says "meredith, christina, izzie and alex" as the "residents who now have their own interns to mentor" so that pretty much says george wont be there. sad!!!

I also agree with everybody T.R. knight did not have much screen time and i saw a interview with shonda saying that she does like T.R. knight and that it was just rumors going around and that she has nothing against him at all and that him leaving was a privite matter and that she was not going to say anything cause it was privite conversation between them. T.R.knight leaving is going to be hard on Izzie now cause her best Friend is gone and she has really nobody she really gets along with expect Alex. But I i am a Izzie and Alex fan and i am very glad that she is stay and is going to get a good story line and hopely her and Alex will stay married after all he has been through a lot with her and her cancer. And i was very shocked when Izzie did not tell George about her having cancer and she went and told christa i thought she should have told her best Friend that she has cancer that is what made me kind of mad that she did not tell him that she was really sick he would have got her to get help right away then having her wait. I am not going to let T.R. Knight leave stop me from wathching the show i am still going to watch it i love the show it just want be the same with out him and we will miss the Friend ship between them i love their friend ship its so cutie and i know it will even be more hard on Izzie now on the show cant wait for the new season to start and i wish T.R. Knight the best of luck in what ever he wants to do and he can remember that he will always be remembered as George Omally on greys anatomy and that he will always have a place in our hearts for him

Izzie having kids is more interesting than George's recovery, George fighting his way back to being a surgeon and finding love? Not in my book.
All Izzie has left is making kids and being pukeworthy happy in an abusive, sick relationship with Alex.
George had so much more left to do.
Shonda picked the wrong character to die, and I personally am not sticking around.
And for the record, Alex is an ass. He doesn't deserve to be happy. George is a sweetheart and he did. It makes me furious that ass Alex gets to live when George is worth 2 millions of him.
