I totally disagree. There is so much left for them to do with George. I want to see his recovery. I want to see him find love. I want to see him fight to go back to medecine and prove to everyone he really isn't 007 anymore.
That's the thing. If I believed there was nothing more for George to do, I would agree. However, of all the characters, he is the one I feel has the more left to write.
They could have done so much with him all year, but they didn't.
If that was his last season on the show, I will never forgive Shonda for backburnering him all season, for trashing his connection with Izzie, for destroying his friendship with Lexie and for treating him like some glorified extra.
He should have been allowed to be there for Izzie. We should have seen the effects of his failing the exam on him. We should have seen him deal with everything he went through before.
There was so much to do and she wasted it even though all the fans begged her to write for George.
Instead we got Lexie and the cutting interns, stupid Sadie, suddenly lesbian Callie.
I will never forgive Shonda for this, and if this was TR's last episode, it was mine too.

I always thought they should explore more his doubts about his ability as a doctor, his insecurities.
I really want his friendship with Izzie restored too, although I'd rather a romantic reunion.
If he stays, we will have a recovery story and maybe a romance with the new girl.
As for Jessica Capshaw, she is so sugary sweet she makes my teeth hurt just like Lexie.
George is sweet but not in a sugary makes you hurl kind of way.
We need that kind of sweetness.
I vote they get rid of Lexie and Arizona, two characters most fans don't care about, and they put Callie with Mark and give George a big story.
For me, George being on Grey, and being played by TR, are two conditions for me continuing to watch the show.
I don't want this new guy anywhere near the show.
I think the writers and Shonda should stop acting like idiots and consider that more than 80% of the fans want George to stay and that they will lose a huge number of viewers if they don't do whatever they can to make TR stay as George.
He's not asking for more money. He's asking for a story, and they have every element in place with that finale to write him a great beautiful story.
If they can't make it work, maybe they should get fired.

I was so freaking out over this news. I don't want another George than TR.
Now hopefully, we can learn TR is back and George will get his miracle.
I also hope Izzie lives because I think George and Izzie's scenes are so touching.
i love dominic,he was great in lost but it will be a better surprise if he comes back to lost that'll make me happy....it'll be cool though to have him on grey's BUT NOT PLAYING GEORGE!...common ...thats just stupid...what will they do about the voice differences along with many other diffrences between dominic and T.R...im not optimistic on T.R coming back the next season:(((....but having someone else playing his role is more horrible!!!!!!!
