I though that everyone was going dark after the season finale? Liar liar.
I sorta wished Shonda hadn't said anything. The reverberations comment scared me more than made me happy. I don't think that they'll break up but that some situation is going to come and the legallity of their marriage is going to come into play.
And why did she gave an interview where she avoided all the questions?
I really don't get her.

I believe that George will come back and Izzy will die. If you notice Izzy is on the elevator and George is not. She looks at the button and wants to press it so George goes back. But, They wil have to perform a face transplant and another actor can play him so George the character will still be on Greys played by another actor. I know it sounds a bit soap operaish...but it could be a way to save George (not T.R.Knight.

I'm so angry at Shonda. How could she do this to our George? Our George we have invested in and loved for five years, the most lovable character on the show.
I loved the Gizzie moment. Their relationship is my favorite of all time, but I can't imagine Izzie without George or vice-versa.

i dont think it was predicteble! i had idea was going to happen! even when george was spelling 007, i still had NO IDEA THAT WAS HIM TILL MERIDETH WAS TELLING EVERYONE! IT WAS AN AMAZING EPISODE!!!!! not dissapointing at alll just sad :(

I think that Shonda's comment about the whole "which one" statement means that either they will both live or they will both die. I doubt it will be one or the other. I think that if Izzy does live, she will slowly be able to make a comeback. If George lives, I think that he won't be able to operate any longer. They may be able to keep him on the show as a patient but who knows.
As to the post-it reverberations comment, it certainly doesn't incite any positive feelings. I think that there will be a situation where the legality of their marriage is questioned and they'll have to deal with the back-lash from that.
I actually did enjoy the finale. I don't really analyze the show while I'm watching so I didn't really notice that George wasn't in the second half of the show until the chief pointed it out and even then, I was thinking more about Izzy and her memory so when the whole 007 moment came, I was shocked. So, at least with me, she succeeded in her purpose. Though George and Izzy have never really been favorites of mine, Alex has. So I hope that they live for his sake.

I actually LOVED the season ending. I knew from the moment the cart rolled in that it was George becasue they hadn't shown him for sometime (which isn't unusual) but I knew it was him. I love how Meredith reacted when she learned it was him...she was very credible. As for Izzie, she does have brain cancer inoperable so it owul dmake sense that she would die. I loved the ending with George and Izzie seeing one another in the afterlife in the elevator.....DEEP.

Season 5 was amazing!! The finale was more than I hoped for. Except no MerDer wedding, but I kinda figured as much. When Meredith figured out that John Doe was George I got chills! Couldn't have asked for a better finale!! I have been disappointed that T.R. Knight has not had much of a storyline lately. I love him and I hope that neither him nor Katherine Heigl, or anyone else on the show for that matter, will be written off. I think the cast is terrific!!

I've been a fan of Grey's since episode one. That being said, I have to say that I thought this season sucked. I was hoping that it'd get better--I'd even resigned myself to the Callie/Arizona relationship and losing the Izzy character and I was actually okay with it . . . but if T. R. Knight leaves the show, that's the end of my love affair with Grey's. It's over.

I loved the finale!!! I mean it did what it intended on doing. And that is creating a buzz about the show. Regardless of how you feel about the finale, we are talking about it, and that is what they wanted to have happen. There is now this energy about the show that was not there in season 4 (which was neither here nor there) and now I am excited about what will happen in season 6. Great writing Shonda!

Reverberations means an echo or a prolonged effect. The word in context with Shonda's statement is hard to decipher. We'll just have to wait and see on that. And though Shonda did say at one point that Meredith and Derek were together for good, she later said "together for good, for now". The fact that she felt the need to qualify her statement says to me that she wants to leave open the possibility of another Mer/Der breakup. Though it would be annoying as she's done it a bazillion times already. They've broken up and gotten back together more times than Ross and Rachel (and people got irritated with the back-and-forth in that relationship too).
I think that she is going to explore what their post-it wedding means, but I feel like the legality of the marriage is going to be called into question at some point next season. That will be interesting. They're also going to have to figure out soon what they're going to do about Ellen Pompeo's pregnancy so it'll be interesting to see how they work that in.

Seriously? The wedding website calls Mer and Der newlyweds. IT WAS NOT A REAL WEDDING! Of course it was a sweet moment and so on, but seriously? Don't we deserve more than a fake-wedding in the uncallroom? After all we'we gone through, all the break ups etc, at least a legal wedding would be nice. But no no no, Izzie is the main character now. One thing's for sure, I'm not very anticipated by watching Steven's Anatomy when the show returns after the summer. Because I think she'll live, just as George, which makes this cliffhanger very pointless. But all for the viewers, right? And the Steven's Anatomy birth is followed by the fact that MerDer don't seem very important to the writers anymore. Or, maybe they had this "wedding" because they wanted fans to tune in to season six to see if they'll have a real wedding then instead. Maybe they will, and that'd be great. But if that's the case, it's too late. My patience has reached the limit.

I think I cried in just about EVERY Grey's Anatomy episode in season 5! And I did not pick up on the George-John Doe factor at all, not even the 007..so the shock was even worse! I was expecting Izzie to die because I heard Heigel was leaving the show..but now I really hope both characters stay!!
What a brilliant ending to a brilliant season!
