I agree with Laura, there is too much drama. If Derek has an accident or George dies on a war, wouldn't it be slightly too much? I think Izzie's cancer and Owen's post-traumatic stress disorder is enough... I would day that in the season finale bad things will stay away from MerDer. However, since they are 'the' couple of the show, there must be some sort of cliffhanger related to their story. But it might not necessarily be bad! For example, Mer might supsect she is pregnant and we'll find out only in the next season.

there is supposed to be a suprise coming from one
of the interns--maybe that he is Burke's son---which is why
Burke left in the first place---new he was going to runn into
his son....
also, think Mer-Der are going to be fine; i think cliffhanger
will be both Izz and George---her in Surgery and he in some
sort of accident
I also think Chief is going to read in ellis' diaries that he
may be mer's father

Hunt's Mom is going to be in episode--maybe she wants him to
come home---and he is asking Christina to either come
with him or give him a reason to stay at SG---supposedly
they are going to have a happier ending....

No way Derek will be in an accident, Shonda promised MerDer fans will be happy with the finale. So, if not the wedding (which I doubt... 2 weddings in 1 season?... don't think so) then a baby would be GREAT! And it's still Monday... :(

NO WEDDING FOR MER-DER! If they marry them off there goes a huge underlying story line that keeps us coming back. After all it is Grey's Anatomy. No, I still say Rose walks in carrying Derek's baby and we will all go to be tonight very upset. Better to watch the hockey and basketball finals folks and catch the recap afterwards.
