With all the talk about Izzie, George, Meredith and Derek in the Grey's Anatomy season finale, Mark and Lexie flew under the radar. What's their status heading into next season?
A Grey's Anatomy fan wondered just that and wrote to TV Guide's weekly spoiler Q&A seeking clarification. Here's the Lark inquiry and the magazine editors' response ...
Q: How did the Grey's finale end on a "high note" for Mark and Lexie (as teased in Chyler Leigh's Q&A)? There was no moving in together or saying "I love you."
They are in limbo, just like George and Izzie.
A: I think / happen to know that you interpreted their final moment incorrectly.
Mark and Lexie are on the same page - they both want to be together - they are just mired in a miscommunication about the ideal timetable. Mark's declaration that's he's buying a house wasn't him waving off his lady; he was just taking Arizona's advice and moving forward.
Hopefully Lexie will continue to be in it.

I hope Lexie and Mark dont end up like George and Izzie, they never made it as a couple. Aghh. Go team Mark & Lexie

I think they are going to have a big storyline this season..seeming as tho once they got together..their screen time slowly decreased...to barely being on at all in the finale...
I reckon, after the cliffhanger of izzie and george. mark and lexi will have something big happen to them..probably just a break up make up im guessing...but who knows...

i love that mark and lexie are together.and i hope george and lizzie pull through.i was in tears and the end ofseason.lets hope derek and mereidth get married aswell this season

The only reason lexie didnt have much screen time with mark towards the end was because she was preggers. :( but season6 will be a good storyline for them. I can feel it in my blood.

ok, sorry for my english is quite bad
I liked so much mark and addi, but I can buy this relationship only if they make it funny, I mean, I like it at first but at the end they were "so much sugar". Mark should be funny and lexie at the end of 4 season was funny too but in this season, after the broken penis, they were too much sweet, that was boring. I thing they don't have chemistry, but many couples on tv shows don't have it, I think it work out better when they're funny, I love them in 5x01, 5x11, 5x12

P.S.:
it'd be great if shonda doesn't remark her age all the time, I mean, meredith's 30 more or less, but Ellen's 39 and everybody ignore that fact, and the level of prestige of the surgeons, they'd be older, about 50...

I think they are going to be just fine and eventually move in together. However, Shonda Rhimes will most likely play the age card. Mark is at a point in his life and career where he is ready to settle (finally) and Lexie is just beginning her own career as a surgeon.
They are my favorite couple on the show right now so I am keeping my fingers crossed for a good storyline.
