Grey's Anatomy Spoilers: George's Departure
With all the attention paid to whether or not Izzie will pass away tomorrow night, another major question has been more or less overlooked: Does this week's fifth season finale mark the final episode for another beloved character, Dr. George O'Malley?
Here's what TV Guide has to say in its spoiler chat ...
Q: What can you spill about the two-hour Grey's Anatomy season finale? Are we definitely saying goodbye to George and T.R. Knight?
A: Yes, there are rumors swirling that the finale not only paves the way for George's departure from Seattle Grace, but perhaps also his exit from this plane of existence as well.
I presented said scuttlebutt to Chyler Leigh (who plays Lexie), and asked if she feels she's shared the Grey's Anatomy set with Knight a final time. "Not that I know of," she said. "I'm not even sure T.R. knows [what the future holds]. I don't think anybody knows what's going to happen."
Well, nobody except Shonda Rhimes, that is.

Oh I'll cry if George dies. He lost Izzie. He lost all his friends, and he went from one heartbreak to another.
Why would she kill him? Does she enjoy torturing nice guys?
If she kills George, she can count me out as a viewer.

Wow. Why does Shonda hate George so much? He never catches a break!
There's absolutely no excuse to kill him off.
What if TR changes his mind and wants to come back?
Nobody wants George to die. That's sick.

George is the only reason I watch. Well George and Gizzie, but Gizzie has kind of been trashed. If he leaves, I'm no longer watching.
You can't kill George. He's like Bambi. How sick is Shonda?

The only ones who has overlooked this question is you guys. A lot of us fans have been talking about George possibly leaving for weekss now. It was about time this site gave George some attention. I'm sick and tired of reading about Izzie. She can die for all I care.
George CAN't die. He is why I watch.
He leaves, and I'm gone.
And why the hell are they interrogation all his castmates except for him?
It's getting seriously annoying.
I want to know what HE thinks.

I don't know what's Shonda's problem is. I wish she would get over it.
Killing George would be the stupidest mistake.
There's still so much to do with him, and George is the heart and soul of this show.

I'm not watching the finale. I love George too much to see him die.
I'm really hating Shonda right now.
She should get over her hatred of TR and think about how much we love George.

George is my McDreamy. I fell in love with him the first moment I saw that cute smile.
He just can't die.
