OMG!!! What an awesome finale! I couldn't believe that the hero was George, I did not see that coming! And how perfect that the ending was he and Izzie together. Please bring them both back next season. Good job writers!!!

  2. maren Says:

I have a question. what did george write on mer hand? OO7? what does that mean? and how did she find out that it´s george then?

  3. April Says:

I can't believe what happened in the last minutes of the Grey's last night. As soon as Mer started to say " double..." I yelled out "George!" and started to cry. I really don't want George to leave, he has always been my favorite. I would have rather seen him leave for Iraq... At least then he would be able to make guest appearances. But the last scene with Izzie couldn't have been more perfect.

  4. shesworththeffort Says:

George wrote 007 on her hand which is the nickname he's given in seson 1 epi 1. When he nearly killed a guy in the or. 007 license to kill.

  5. jpercell Says:

Last night's episode was so amazing!!! I cried like a little baby! My friends and I were all huddled around together with a big box of tissues!!! Grey's has finally made the comeback that I've been waiting for. It was so dramatic and soooo good! If Izzy and George both leave the show, I'm not sure what I will do. They are beloved characters. I totally didn't see the George death coming, but he looked so cute in that uniform!!!! Man...just thinking about it makes me want to cry all over again. I can't wait til next season...what a freakin cliffhanger!!!!!

  6. Karan Says:

Just wondering...do you think that they will NOT let George die and instead "rebulid" George's face to look different so that another actor can take over his part?? If you remember the girl from the ferry accident that had her face damaged and reshaped by McSteamy - she didn't look the same after the reconstruction. That would be one way to keep the character and have someone else replace the actor. I don't think either George or Izzie are "dead" yet. The sequence at the end of the show was similar to the one Meredith went through when she almost died and then came back. So we'll have to wait until September............

  7. katrina Says:

OMG i thought i cried when denny died all that time ago, but last night i reached a whole new level. I litterally cried myself to sleep and woke up almost crying again. As soon as George wrote 7 on Mer's hand I started howling, and then Izzie in her prom dress and the elevator with George all dressed up in his army uniform, it was amazing ! best season finale EVER but i really really hope there is some way of bringing them back because Grey's really won't be the same without George and Izzie.

  8. Tish Says:

What a tear jurking episode. I love this show almost more than I love myself. I just could not believe they took Izzy and George off the show. Major disappointment! I know I am hooked and will follow the show next season but it prob will not hold my interest much longer. Izzy was my girl! Her and George was there when the show started out. Just still in shock and I could not go to sleep cause it bothered me that much after! Well I have faith that something is going to happen..

  9. Doreen Says:

HELP...How did Meredith know it was George?? What's up with the 007 ?

  10. Ashleyw26 Says:

That was George's nick name. 007 that's what Dr. Sloan called him a lot of times and it just kinda stuck. Wow... what an amazing episode. I am going to go crazy trying to figure it out!!! They left it open to so many possibilities. But still, my heart is still broken. I am so sad :o(

  11. Carrie Says:

Oh my god! That was an amazing episode!! George's death was so unexpected! I knew it was him on the gurney after a minute. I knew because after he told Bailey he just disappeared. How sad, what a way to go. I don't think Izzie is dead. You could tell by the look on her face after she saw George. Wow what an episode! I will be waiting very impatiently for next season. The Wedding was adorable also. :) They better have an official one though!! :) Keep up the awesome job writers! your amazing! so is Shonda!

  12. Doreen Says:

Ashleyw26 thanks so much for clearing that up. I've watched every episode and never picked up on that. Should be a great season opener. I am still shocked to even be sad.

  13. Danique Says:

Too bad Mer&Der didn't get married in real. Would have loved to see that! I hope they're gonna build a house and have children, that would be great.
For George and Izzie, until the last 5 minutes I really thought they were both gonna live. Sad..

  14. Rachel Says:

It was the best FINALE ever! What a fantastic show. This will be a long summer no doubt! I have never cried so much...all kinds of emotions came out. It was like I was there and just an amazing episode. I can only hope the next season will be as fantastic as this one has been.

  15. Mrs. McDreamy Says:

OMG it was great the end , I even could not sleep at night all that I saw were George and Izzie.

As soon as I did not see George after he left Baily I just knew that he was the injured guy. and I was desperate that the others did not know, but I love how all were worried about him specially Callie.

It was great! wow what a finale!!

  16. Sarah Says:

Shonda said Mer and Der's Post-It Note would have "big reverberations" next season. Heck, I hope it doesn't mean these two will get on the on-again-off-again treadmill again. Enough of that. Let these two deal with a challenges of a committed relationship. Let them be happy.

  17. j. Sigo Says:

To those hysterical viewers of the last nite show; get a life!
With all of the problems in this world, put some of that emotion and concern into helping those real life people who have been destroyed by the collapse of the economy, loss of income, loss of healthcare and medical benefits.

  18. notsocynical Says:

    to J. Sigo,
Give 'em a break. If watching Grey's provides an 'escape' from the collapse of the economy, loss of income, loss off healthcare and medical benefits, then it's a wonderful thing. What and who does it hurt?

We all need a little escape now and then.....

  19. Kristin Says:

Can someone refresh my memory on the 007 twist at the end!!! Thanks, Kristin

  20. Isabella Oliver Says:

Wasn't someone meant to find out that they were pregnanat in the season finale - I'm sure it was a spoiler (video clip) earlier in the season

  21. McLoveGA Says:

I still don't think George died. I just re-watched the ending and Owen said: "we're losing him" not "we lost him" so I think they can still save him. Also, it would make great storylines for season 6 to show him recovering from all his injuries. Come on, T.R. Knight cannot pass up this chance for some terrific storylines for next season.

  22. Chris Says:

I dunno, anyone think George *not* getting into the elevator (at least during the episode) is telling us he's still alive? Also interesting is the fact that he has a pretty decorated (the bars) uniform on for someone who hasnt even started in the Army yet.

Good episode nonetheless, I just hate cliffhangers.

  23. Cyndi Says:

Mer and Der are noo way going to have a huge wedding and walk down an aisle. That's not their style and would be totally lame and stereotypical.

I don't think they're both going to die, but I don't know which one will. I mean George didnt get on the elevator, but Izzie didnt get OFF, either. Maybe George was already gone and Iz is gonna go back up.

Who knows really. I can't wait til the next season.

Oh, and for the 007. I'm a diehard fan, never missed an episode since the beginning. And I knew when he wrote 007, it meant George but it still didnt click to me that THAT was george. I just didnt realize. Im trying to figure out like who this guy is and how he knows george. hahaha.

What in the world was George doing chatting up ladies at the bus stop when he was about to be shipped out? And why is a doctor taking the bus anyway? Haha.

  24. jam979 Says:

    @Cyndi:

I don't think he was chatting her up so much as just being nice, friendly George. I think she just took it that way.

I also think George's already gone, and Izzie will have to make a choice about getting off the elevator and joining him or going back. The reason I believe this is because in the first episode of the season, in her dream sequence, Izzie got off the elevator to join Denny, and they walked into the light together. It seems that being off the elevator equals death, and staying on it means life, or at least some sort of limbo. I think next season is going to begin with her and George saying goodbye, him telling her to fight or something, similar to Meredith and Ellis in Season 3, and ultimately, she'll pull through.

As soon as Mer said, "Double-0 Seven," I realized what was happening. I couldn't believe it. What a plot twist!

  25. McSeriously Obsested Says:

that is so like them! so like Shonda to do that!
