Last night's two-hour season-ending episodes of Grey's Anatomy contained plenty of great scenes, but it's not hard to decide which were the two most memorable of them all.
Fans finally got to see a MerDer wedding, however unconventional.
Unable to break away from the intense developments at Seattle Grace, but determined not to let another day go by without being married, Meredith and Derek decide that they will write their wedding vows right there on a post-it note and make it official. Their way.
It's sweet, romantic and somehow appropriate ...
Follow the jump (and grab the tissues) for the climactic scene last night, in which Meredith realizes that John Doe is in fact George O'Malley, while Izzie collapses as the Chief and Alex defy the DNR she signed, and the two ailing surgeons reunite in another world ...
Is this the last we see of them? If so, we'll miss them so ...

The last 10min. stressed me out so bad. I know George is leaving but is Izzie? All I can say is, its going to be a long summer! :)

The show will never be the same if Izzie and George are gone. They were 2 of the 4 "originals"!!!

Oh God, if George dies... I will be devestated. I was bawling for an hour and a half last night, and I just rewatched from Mer's announcement that she and Derek got married to the end. I want to puke again, and I want to pick up where I left off last night with the vomitting. George is my favorite character, and he's a hero. He doesn't deserve to die. He's way too young.

Does Anyone know if George is 100 percent leaving? and Izzie? Because you know how these things work out and then they come back! How many times did Mer Die or any of the characters at that... they can't kill them both off... then all there is... is Mer, Alex and Christina... WTF.. they are such loved characters do you think they would do that to there ratings?

What an amazing episode. I cried so much, I couldn't sleep afterwards. I do think that George has passed away. And what a way for him to go. As for Izzie, we all saw the look on her face go from happy to see George to oh no what's happening. Izzie is not dead. Again what an amazing episode. Grey's is finally back!! I hope the writers keep up an amazing job they are doing. And let's not have a repeat of season 4 for the new season, because we all know season 4 was not that great. I still love the show though. I'm a devout Grey's fan.
Don't want to wish the summer away, but I can't wait until September.

That was a great episode. You cant take George or Izzie now. They both have a huge storyline now. "Two best friends fighting for their lives together" I think you should let George live and him have a relationship with the woman he saved that would be a great storyline. Just cant let them go they were there with the first episode and I have loved them both since along with Mer, Christina and Alex.

It's been known that both T.R. Knight and Katherine Heigl have wanted out of the show for a long time; the question was just how they would be written out. Having them both die seems gratuitous to me. I wasn't happy with the idea of George going off to Iraq but that would've been so much better than killing off. Not happy. One main character death is enough.

I was devastated last night, I didn't see George's death coming! And how they brought it full circle with him telling Meredith that it was him with the "007". I was a little disappointed with how Izzie went (I see that as a possible, she's not going to actually die set up)
What a perfect ending though with George and Izzie together!!!
Loved it loved it loved it!!!!
Still feel like crying....
