This is one of my favorite episodes. I'm a grown, strong woman... no WAY some sitcom was gonna make me cry! NOT! I cried like hell! This was so SAD! But so beautiful. But I will lose ALL respect for Grey's if they kill of Izzie. I'll be SO MAD! I think Izzie's recovery will be just what Derek needs to get through his funk of the fact he's had more deaths than lives saved. He's gonna save her! I know it! (He better! I mean it Shonda!)

  2. greysfan2008 Says:

The wedding was amazing....the whole show was so emotionally charged, way to go writer's!!!!

I am so glad it was Izzie and Alex that got married, I would loved to have had that church when I got married.
Did anyone notice the MerDer wedding page at the top says May 14th only 5 days to go?

  3. LC Says:

The episode last night was the 'coming of age' episode for Grey's... and so appropriate since it was their 100th episode... truly a Beautiful Day!

The dilemma with Izzie going through the operation will not only be that of life or death, but also that, even if the tumor is removed successfully, there is a possibility of losing her memory. What a brilliant way to

I was hooked on Grey's from the first episode of the first season... and believe me, my loyalty has been tested. The second half of this season has fiercely implanted my faith in the writers and actors of Grey's... BRAVO!!!

  4. Maureen Says:

I guess Shonda wont marry off her leading people, after all she needs to have something to write about next season. My guess is they will break up by next mid season, then back together at the end then another marriage proposal and with yet another wedding planned. Hey I am just saying she is not going let her bread and butter get married and bore us.

  5. LizzyB Says:

Last night's episode was such a tear-jerker and I loved every minute of it! Because I've always been so pro-Alex, I really hated Denny being back but, after hearing Izzie explain why she sees Denny and saying that Alex is her future, the man that she loves, I understand why he needed to come back--so that Izzie could get closure and for us to see that she really does want to live and spend the rest of her life with Alex. Those last 20 minutes, I was a big ball of emotions...seeing Izzie look so beautiful (it's amazing that she could look so gorgeous in the same dress that I hated when i saw it on Mer) and Alex looking super hot and spiffy in that tux. Alex's vows to Izzie and his comment at the end after they had shaved her head, "My wife is hot"::sigh::...I really don't think that I could ever recover if Izzie were to die. She's such an integral part of the show and I think that seeing Alex and Izzie's married life after the whole cancer situation would make for great television.

  6. ShesWorthTheEffort Says:

This episode, Ama-zing. Izzie and Alex were just absolutly amazing together, the wedding ceremony was great.

The whole Denny in black thing, was a little creepy, like the angel of death so that makes me a little nervous.

But Im soo ready for next week!

  7. someone Says:

I think that this is the first episode of this season in which Denny was fitted well.

One tiny detail. Izzie already had a brain surgery- shouldn't she have a scar on her head, then?

The scene "my wife is hot" was heart-breaking. Beautiful.

I don't like Callie's storyline about the lack of money. As someone else pointed out earlier, she's a 5th year resident, how come she can't afford the rent and doesn't have enough time for food? Somehow, no one else has that problem and Izzie and Alex are from poor families. It's just not convincing to me.

  8. Danielle Says:

I hate Alex and Izzie, and this felt like a slap in the face to all of us Gizzie fans.

They are furious and all thsoe who haven't left will.

This episode wasn't perfect. It was awful for all of us George fans.

Not only did George lose all his patients, he was the only one who was all alone and lonely out there.

George should have been the one getting married to Izzie.

Oh and all the MerDer fans I know are furious too.

    This show sucks.

They couldn't go above 15 millions for the big wedding and 100th episode.

The minute George leaves, I am gone.

  9. Ada Says:

I'm sorry but George grew up? He grew up a long time ago. I can't see Alex ever being selfless enough to give Izzie away to George, can you?

George showed he was the most selfless amazing character on the show. Of course, that means Shonda craps on him all the time.

Alex ahs always been a total jerk to George until two episodes ago, and the minute he apologized, George forgave him.

That shows George is the better man.

Shonda obviously hates George. Why else does everyone get happiness but him, the nicest character on the show?

I hated the whole episode, and it's so clear george is leaving. I have no reason to watch anymore.

  10. Gigi Says:

I am so heartbroken right now as a Gizzie and George fan.

I couldn't stand seeing him so lonely and sad. He never has anything good happening to him.

    Why is that?

FanofAlex, I know you probably don't care about George, but if he elaves, it would hurt all of us George fans so badly.

So no this episode wasn't perfecvt, not if you were a George fan.

  11. iheartgreys Says:

Has anyone realized that Izzie's wedding page has been reset to May 14th? Do you think this means the 2 hour season finale could be showing this next week?? :D Sorry I'm trying to remain optimistic here. Fall's too far away to find out! :D

  12. Jordan_grey45 Says:

The episode was absolutely amazing!!! I started crying in the middle of the episode and couldn't stop until it was over. Then after that I had another crying spout. Seriously! The wedding was beautiful and the thing that Meredith and Derek and Bailey did for Izzie was the most beautiful thing I think I have ever seen. Awww, and when George came and to help Izzie down the isle that was so magical. The episode was amazing, the writing was brillant, and the soundtrack was top notch.

I have to take this time to thank Shonda Rhimes for creating such a wonderful show that has been apart of my life for four years. She has made me laugh, cry and scream at my television
(when george and Meredith slept together) for four wonderful years. I have loved every single one of the last one hundred episodes through the good and the bad, and I will love the next one hundred. thanks you, Shonda

  13. Izzielover Says:

You are right, of course George matured a long time ago. Last night just made it so clear that he is the moral center of the show. Seeing him step into the one role Izzy never had, that of "father" who "gave" the bride away to Alex just brought his growth full circle from the scruffy haired kid in the first season.

The one flaw is that I fear these writers simply cannot handle the topic of marriage. The episode was ironic in that they copped out three years ago when they killed off Denny. The story line they should have written then, that Denny gets a heart, he and Izzy marry, and then they have to deal with the realities of a life threatening illness because transplants are not a magic cure, they just didn't seem to want to take it on. So now the same story comes back with Izzie sick and Alex marries her. Will the writers have the guts to tackle this as a real marriage, or will they again go for the cheap tears and kill Izzie off? We don't know, and apperently Heigl is forbidden to say whether she wants to leave..that's a reality of show business. But certainly they could handle her character in a better way than "Dennie the Hallucination". Izzie could make guest appearances while dealing with her illness, and she would probably not be able to continue as a surgeon, but she could manage the clinic. This would be a grown up story line, but these writers seem to be unable or unwilling to explore a real adult marriage. Why?

  14. McBelle Says:

What an amazing episode! Abolutely incredible...

The wedding was really extraordinary, I'm not so sure of Alex's vows though...he kind of too his patient's graduation speech. But it is cool how Mer gave Izzie her dream wedding because she's dying and Derek might just not get her little tumor out. Alex's crying scene was priceless...wow, the "I think she just might die on me" bit...I could just sigh about it.

George looked jealous though...shouldn't he be the best man? Well, whatever...he lost at least 4 patients in thes episode.

Owen and Christina seemed to be back on...when she's trying to take down her ceiling fan. Lexie and Mark are stronger than ever...same with Arizona and Callie.

All in all a great episode...2-hour season finale next thursday!

  15. Rosie Says:

Last night's episode was classic Grey's. I was looking forward to this episode for weeks and I was not disappointed. Definitely grey's at it's best. It was sad and romantic and...AWESOME!!! I don't want Izzie to leave the show, but last night's episode seemed to make quite clear that she won't make it. Sorry to see her go.

  16. helen Says:

I admired MerDer and the way they treated "their" wedding to support Izzy and Alex!!!

    Congratulations!!very humane and touching...

  17. François Says:

I really wanted Izzie and George to get married.

They are the only one whoe love to me has the ebst foundation. Friendship trust, love.

George is not Izzie's father. He is her ex-lover and her best friend.

He is also the one who should have married her, IMO.

I am tired of Shonda doing this to George. Not only did he lose his patients, he was all alone while everyone was in a couple.

When does he get to find love and happiness?

Is Shonda trying to send the message that if you are a great, nice guy like George, you are going to get nothing.

    I find this pretty sick.

I guess this show is geared towards the very young, and people like George are a bit too mature for this show.

I also hated how they trashed Denny and Izzie's love at the end.

Love letter? Not really. More of a love letter to Alex and Izzie fans, and be damned if you aren't. Your opinions just don't count.

This was our last episode, and my daughter has also informed me she will be tuning out.

The treatment of George and Denny and Izzie is just too horrendous, and we have no interest in watching a show that just tries to please certain fanbases and ignores the other ones completely.

  18. SM Says:

They couldn,t have let george save ONE patient. God, I thought it was too good that george was a great doctor. I forgot Shonda hates him and doesn't want any good thing happening to him at all.

He needs to be alone while everyione has someone, and to lose all his patients too.

We get it, Shonda. You hate George, but many of us love him and are sick of this.

I will never watch again if he leaves.

I hate this show. I hate AI, and I especially hate Shonda.

  19. Nina Says:

Loved it. Every bit of it.

George holding Izzie was great. Alex and Izzie were great. The wedding, the speach were great. Derek and Bailey were so sweet. Mer and the chief were so funny. Denny was great. Owen and George were great. Christina taking down the ven was great. Everything was great. Absolutely great.

But the end was the best. Alex could make Izzie smile while she was bald and all and that just means that they're made for eachother.

  20. McSeriously Obsested Says:

Justin in one of his interviwes said that it wasn't going to him and Izzie getting married... but i let that go behind my when i saw that they were getting married... now that leads me into a new question, is Izzie going to die. im DIEING to figure out what Mer's scream is! adn Baily crying! seriously! do they REALLY have to get us ALL that pumped up about the fanily! i think im going to die... how long is it unitl season 6 premere?!?!

  21. Norwegian fan Says:

I thought the episode was very moving, and loved that Alex finally commits to someone in his life. I've always wanted him and Izzie to be together, so the wedding made me very happy.

However, almost no one has mentioned Owen and Cristina - the subtlety of their intense love for each other, the stolen glances, almost-touching of hands and painful looking away - it's all great acting and a very powerful story. This couple is quickly becoming my favourite, their relationship makes my heart ache.

Also, I'm glad that George and Izzie finally had a scene together and that their friendship seems to be back on.

  22. Greysanatomy Says:

God dammit! There's only one week left of my regularly Grey's Anatomy dose. Seriously, I have to wait almost 4 horrible months. How will I be able to do that? I won't be able to do that. I don't get how I've been able to do that in the past either. It's gonna be looong summer.

  23. amber Says:

I loved the wedding part it was really sweet and nice of Mer and derek to give Izzie and Alex the wedding. I really hope that she lives in the finally I bet Derek is going to do the surgery and save her. She need to live and not die cause she needs to be with Alex and Be happy that she married him. I hope Denny is gone for good and will not be back next Episode he is dead and they need to let it go. I think Izzie will Live cause she does not want to leave Alex after they got married plue she is strong and it would be great to see that she is a Cancer Serviover and that she made it through some tough times but she made it. And I would really love to see Alex really happy and not sad all the time I know he is scared and does not want her to tie and leave him that would not be a very good story line they get married then she dies on him. Better not happend We need to see ask happy and we need to see Izzie happy and healther and back on to saving peoples life. Izzie has a great realtion ship with alex That is amazing and to see them finally happy is great and we don't need to see her be killed of the show come on we need to see them in season 6 happy married couple and seeing them finally be happy cause she is a fighter through cancer. So Shonda you better keep her on She great and i love Izzie she is very funny and cares about the patinets and also she is the only one who can put up with Alex crap. I give her lots of Credit for standing up their and getting married to the person she really love. George is good to He a nice guy and he cares a lot about Izzie I think he is scared right now for Izzie cause his best Friend might not make it and its hurting him deep down inside to she her like this It is very hard on both Alex and George but she still love George and i think she will be just fine and They will be even more closer as Friends. I love the part ware George helps Izzie down the Isle it doesnt matter if he is not her dad but a good friend that cares a lot about her and want to help her its was so sweet to see HIm walk his best Friend Down the isle to Alex its show how true of a friend he is and how nice of a guy he is SO Shondra Don"t take off Izzie or George we need a happy ending for them both I love Izzie and Alex

  24. Lexie Says:

Someone is right. Callie's money storyline is stupid. 1) Her paychecks would be going to her checking account not an account her father could empty. 2) Trust funds are in the recipient's name as well. The IRS is very strict about that so parents can't hide money under kids names to avoid taxes. So even if he cut her off she would only lose money in the future. She would keep what she already had.

  25. brenda Says:

My husband feels that last nights epi portrayed human nature at it's highest level of unconditional love
