Time for the obligatory update on T.R. Knight's efforts to flee Grey's Anatomy. Will he get his wish by the end of the season, or is the actor sticking around?
According to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello, it certainly sounds like, for better or for worse, Shonda Rhimes is setting the stage for Knight's exit.
A Grey's Anatomy insider is now confirming what many have previously been predicting: that our beloved George will not only (Grey's Anatomy spoiler alert!) march off to war, but he will be wounded (perhaps mortally) in the line of duty by this season's end!

This just sounds crazy to me. You do realize that all we have left are 5.20, 5.21 and the finale 5.22 & 5.23, right? It doesn't seem like enough time to pull all of this off-- The trauma, Owen recognizing his special skill, recruiting, leaving for Iraq, getting to Iraq and then being wounding in the line of duty (as a doc)?? There's not enough airtime left in the season for all that, it seems to me.
I swear Ausiello is really going off the deep end w/ this stuff. Guess I'll have to go read what he has said, but sounds practically impossible to me.
Stop freaking us out about George. Come on. Seriously. I love George and he needs to stay.

This is Shonda though. Of course she would rush George's exit and kill him off. She has seemed to hate him all season. Her hate for TR is blinding her, and she doesn't give a damn that the majority of us adore George and want him to stay.
If my George dies, I am gone so fast and I will never watch one episode lof this show again.

She should know by now how much we all love George.

There has got to be some sort of time jump either between 5.22 and 5.23 or within the finale. That would explain how all those things could happen to George, plus the dream house would be on its way to being built, Izzie's cancer may go into remission, etc.
I don't think that Shonda will kill George, because he may be back for some sweeps episodes next season. I read that TR wants off the show, but I wouldn't blame him after this season. I can never figure out if he wants off because of his screentime or he got so little screentime because he wants off. It won't be the same without him!!!

Ausiello and Kristen and US mag all say he wants off BECAUSE he had no storyline, not the opposite. That falls all on Shonda's feet.
I am crying so bad right now. I can't help it. I love George, and he can't die. I am freaking out so bad.

US Magazine is the last magazine on this planet that I trust, and I don't have much faith in Ausiello.
Until I actually see it on the show or hear it from T.R. himself, I refuse to believe this crap.
If this rumor is true and I one day meet Shonda Rhimes, that woman is going to regret this mistake and will most certainly need therapy once I'm done chewing her out.
