& she'll probably have some newfound respect for life or something after this experience.
&& alex already has this idea in his head of his life with izzie -- children & everything. aww that'd be cute.
just the thought of meredith & derek not getting married devastates me. that's.. bogus.
i mean this was the main storyline. for the entire series. they can't do that.

As much as I want to see Meredith and Derek tie the knot on May 7th, I agree with others that its too short of an engagement. I do think that the probability of Lexie and McSteamy getting hithched is higher. I read somewhere that the actress who plays Lexie is pregnant, and I kind of got the feeling from the last cpl episodes that their relationship was getting pretty serious. Maybe an unplanned pregnancy will prompt a last minute marriage!

I'm thinking what's going to happen is something similar to Derek's proposal - they're all going to be ready for the wedding and it's going to almost be happening, but then suddenly, Izzie suffers a dramatic complication and the doctors need to focus on her. When they find out there's nothing they can do now to save her and that she has a limited time left, Alex gives in to his feelings and proposes. Now, MerDer aren't really in the mood to get married right then, considering they just found out their friend is going to die, BUT, since the wedding venue (whether it be a chapel, Derek's land, etc.) is already set up, they decide to let Izzie and Alex take advantage of the moment and get married instead.

My guess it will be Alex and Izzie who get married on the 100th episode. Shonda Rhimes has said that the episode takes place on Mer/Der's wedding day, but we all know there will be a twist and it is supposedly Izzie's dying wish to plan Mer/Der's wedding - the wedding she "may or may not ever have"...so I bet after Izzie plans her dream wedding for Mer/Der, Mer/Der will end up letting Izzie and Alex get married so that even if Izzie dies she will at least have had her dream wedding. At least that is what I'm guesssing...

Okay- I've got it. Mer-Der just got engaged... I think that will be next season or something... We've heard that it's not Christina and Owen. Won't be Callie and Ped Dr. (even though they hang out in a chapel at the hospital at times) Everyone seems to think that it will be Izzie and Alex- possible since she is all wedding planner since she got sick. But this is what I think. They've been a little under the radar since the fist fight between the two Mc's. But I think it will be Lexie and McSteamy because Chyler Leigh (aka Lexie)is pregnant in reality and i think that they might write that in and make the too cute couple get married... just my thoughts. McSteamy has been wanting to be a daddy and settle down if my recall is correct.

If for some reason the Wedding's not MerDer, then I would actually assume it'd be Lexie-Mark. If Izzie's *ILL* why would they get married right now?? that make absolutely NO SENSE. No one who is as sick as she supposedly is would get married on a whim. Is she gonna take her IV drip w/ her down the aisle?
But it'd be silly of Rimes to let TWO couples get married in one season, stealing the thunder away from something that fans have been awaiting for years. I think she's very well trying to mislead everyone.

I still think that Shondra Rimes is making a big mistake in not allowing a wedding with Meridith and Derek and will lose lots of viewers and will cause a big audience drop. Serves her right. She is just playing with her viewers and will lose lots of us.
It is evident that Meredith has become healthy and overcome alot of her problems and is happy.
There are lots of story lines that can be good with them married.
