"merder do not get married on may 7" this is what michael said.so there might be a merder wedding on the episode after that.but it doesn't necessarily mean they are not getting married.shonda said something big will happen on merder wedding day,it's like saying mer and der will indeed get married it's just that something big will happen.and when shonda says big,we better have tissue papers,napkins or hankerchief ready coz there will be a lot of tearjerking moments and surprises ahead of us.too bad we have to wait before we get to see what happens next.dont let izzie die.and dont let george leave sgh.let merder live happily ever after! I wanna bet that it will be Mark & Lexie wedding, it's a fact that it will take place on Meredith's & Derek's wedding day but I bet that somehow Meredith backup, NO because she don't want to but because she's not ready or something like that...that's why I think it's more likely that Mark will step ahead Derek and married Little Grey...aww I like that couple a lot, don't know why lol!!!

If they let Izzie basically plan their whole wedding to keep her mind off cancer, Mer and Der might at the last minute realise that their wedding isn't their dream wedding at all, but its Izzie's...so Izzie and Alex get married in their place.
I still think that the 'union' between Mer and Der will be a baby and I think they will throw in the drama of Mer finding out she is pregnant somewhere in the next couple of episodes while the wedding is being planned/happening. If she is pregnant, I don't think they will feel any rush to walk down the aisle. I mean, a baby is a way bigger way of bringing two people together than a marriage and symbolises more commitment (in my opinion anyway) than a wedding ring.
Oh, and I can't wait for Hector Elizondo to come back. Love him!

That way shonda will be right in saying it's merder's wedding day and also that someone else will be getting married while not messing with our favourite couple when they've finally got it together.
