Since Izzie is planning the wedding "she may or may not be able to have" Meredith is doing what she wants because its her dying wish... but that wedding isn't Meredith and Derek... it's not at all like them... so maybe Alex changes things up and offers to surprise Izzie and make it their wedding... and MerDer decide to get married somewhere small... in a courtroom or something... maybe in this episode, maybe at the end of the season?

I don't think that E! Online knows anything for sure, but based on spoilers and speculation, they think that Katherine Heigl will stay at least through part of next season. Whic means that the cancer may go into remission, but now the producers can always bring the cancer back if she should start acting up again (I'm sure that they are getting that from the fact that KH said she wants to stay with Greys). If KH stays, I think that she may not still be very ill with cancer, but it will still be part of her storyline.
They also guess that TR will be leaving and his exit storyline will be that he goes into the military in some medical capacity, but that his contract may state that he will be obligated to come back a few times in the next couple of season.
I don't think that Kristen or Ausiello knows anything for a fact. They are just guessing based on promo pics, casting sides and what Shonda says like the rest of us.

i think what shonda meant is that the merder wedding is may 7th, but they wont get married, another couple will, perhaps even during the merder wedding something goes wrong (it always does :( ) which leads another couple to get married.

Is TR and the George fans worth nothing to them they wouldn't even bring him back for guest starring?

I like Izzie but I LOVE George. He better not be gone for good.

i think that izzie is going to use the MerDer wedding to distract her but then meredith and derek will realize that she (izzie) is planning her dream wedding not MerDer's. Meredith and Derek will decide to give their fancy izzie style wedding to her and Alex and MerDer will get married on a farry boat in the season finale (its 2 hours long which is long enough for the important MerDer wedding)
i am a huge MerDer fan but i kinda hope they dont get married May 7th. its just cheesy.

Funny b4 i read the post i was already thinking that her cancer would go into remission and given the fact that it could come back, well let's just say it gives writers a way to kill her when she wants out or they're ready to let her go. I will say that if she goes they wil need a replacement... don't think her character is replacable in a believable way...there'd be something missing from the show.

I'd rather see the MerDer wedding than the AI wedding. I think MerDer and their fans deserve a wonderful, magical, happy wedding between those two. I hope with my whole heart that they marry.
