Aaaaw, Izzie and Alex getting married... I'd cry my eyes out if it's as sad and romantic as I imagine it to be. Wow. I can't stop thinking about "A Walk to Remember". And that already made me cry even though I hadn't followed and loved the characters for years. Can't wait!!!
Vanna - I won't maul you, you have a right to your opinion :) I do love Alex and Izzie. Actually, I love Alex and I think that Izzie is annoying, but she is tolerable with him because she isn't hysterical all the time spouting ridiculous speeches and when she starts in on one he kisses her to shut her up. Anyway, I don't know if I want them to get married because the way it sounds from the spoilers is that Izzie wants a wedding more than a marriage and I don't want Alex to feel pressured into giving her a wedding just to make her happy. But we haven't seen the episode yet and I have a feeling that the next couple of episodes will be important for A/I and them getting closer, so I am not going to make judements yet.
As far as them not being a couple, Alex told her that he loved her, Izzie refers to Alex as her boyfriend, they made plans to meet his mother, Derek came to Alex to ask if he had questions about Izzie's surgery and Izzie spent her birthday with Alex alone. Not to mention the fact that they potentially made a baby together (and for the record, there is NO way that Izzie didn't give consent to have her eggs fertilized by Alex. Believe me, I know what I am talking about here, it would be against the law for the Chief to even mention that to Alex without her consent.) So, some may not like the fact that they are a couple, but they are a couple.

Look, I don't even know why this blog exsist. What is there to blog about? I have not watched grey's for 2 weeks and this week makes the 3rd re-run!!!! I guess they are going to make six episodes stretch over a whole season!!!! I was addicted to the show, but this season is a let down!

They deserve to be happy and married... however, I don't want that to happen if Izzie is going to die. It would make her happy, but what about Alex?? Izzie's death would hurt him the most; it would devastate him completely.

FYI there's a new sneak peek at the spoiler-tv grey's site (google it). IT's really boring, though. Mark and Derek talking about the fight and Mark and Lexie. It's ok in the epi, but for the sneak peek I want to see something leading...like Hector Elizondo coming to town...
if AI get married it would be cheesy, sloppy and rushed. MerDer should be the couple to marry, and I think they're truly in love and deserve it. They're both ready to commit to each other, and it's believable.
And everyone knows that the MerDer fans deserve it, too. They were put through hell with their couple. Give 'em the wedding!
I too still believe that MerDer are the ONLY ones ready for marriage. It should be their wedding.

you know, in the past or even at the beginning of this season I would have thought it would be totally unrealistic that Alex or Izzie could handle marriage, but they've both changed SO MUCH this season, especially Izzie. I mean, go back and watch any episode from season three or even four--Izzie is so much more mature this season. And I think that Alex and Izzie have always kind of been (literally) made for each other on this show, as in the characters were written to compliment one another. Even through out their other romances, there was always an undertone of the other one and how they felt. However, its taken them five years to build a solid relationship and I think the entire underlying theme here is going to be wasted time. They wasted a lot of time not being together.
Because of this, I do NOT think an AI wedding would be about "Izzie's dream wedding!!", I think it would be about the characters realizing life is too short to push each other away anymore. I think it would be about security and the fact that neither of them can be alone whether of not Izzie lives or dies and they do really love each other.
I actually think if they do get married it will be so OPPOSITE of a dream wedding. I think Izzie will be bedridden for some reason and (the minister in that episode is originally in the hospital to bless a baby that may be dying) the minister will come into the hospital room and they'll get married right there without a formal ceremony. How romantic would that be?????!??

I still find it hard to believe you guys could be so in to this season. They are all over the place this season. The only reason I even kept watching was to see where the heck they were going with that whole Denny thing, which you have to admit was a bit odd. I don't know. I just don't have high hopes this season. What happened to the constant drama? The surgeries are even lame! Last season you had the guy with the bomb lodged in his abdomen! That was good stuff! They are slacking this season for sure and once again whats up with the re-runs????

they shouldn't freaking get married! atleast build a solid loving healthy relationship in season six for alex and izzie instead of just going straight for wedding bells. these two HARDLY interacted this season, she was with DENNY the whole season, and never around alex, so why would they just all of a sudden realize they're completely in love and get married? this is so retarded.

The way I see it is: Izzie will help Mer and Der plan the wedding, but she (Izzie) will get worse and so Mer will let her have the wedding she planned. So Izzie and Alex will get married, Izzie will get better and better and Meredith and Derek will have their wedding in the finale... wouldn't that be great? I think it'd be even better!!!

I hate Alex and Izzie. They are not even a real couple. She slept with dead Denny all season long, and their relationship is mostly sex.
Like it was last time.
I really don't get the appeal at all.
She never seemed into him like he was into her, and the I am dying so let's get married is the corniest silliest thing ever.
A walk to remember was a cheese fest too.
Then what else to expect from Shonda? The woman never had a romance in rl and it shows.
I'd rather Izzie marry ANYONE but Alex.
And now I am expecting all the AI fans to maul me down.
