Grey's Anatomy star and expectant mom Ellen Pompeo, who announced she is pregnant a week ago, brought along some adorable company - pet poodles Valentino and Gigi - while visiting a friend of hers in the Hollywood Hills on Wednesday afternoon.

Ellen Pompeo is carrying three adorable creatures!
No word on how Pompeo's pregnancy will fit into the Grey's Anatomy universe. Will Meredith Grey become pregnant also? Will Ellen take a leave of absence? Will the producers use camera tricks or other disguises / approaches to disguise it until she gives birth?
That appears to be their approach with pregnant co-star Chyler Leigh, whose character, Lexie, was nervously stuffing her face with food at every opportunity last night!

Yeah, about 4-6 at least. So... if the sumemr break is a few months... technically she will have her baby (YAY!) and get the maternity leave before the show airs again... so maybe they wont write it in after all. I think that because she is still a resident, and both hard working surgeons and all... having Meredith/Derek babied would be unrealisitic

I think she has been pregnant for awhile - I thought she looked puffy in her face this entire season. Seriously - look back - she looks way different this season.

@ Michael: i think they stopped taking off the extra 10 pounds the camera adds so everyone looks fuller and not as skinny as other seasons.
@ fanpire: when they filmed the episodes we have seen so far she was only like 2 months pregnant and thats easy to hid with a scrub top.
she does look great with the pregnancy it fits her quite well! :)

she is more than two months in the episodes we are watching now because you can tell she is pregnant ,i mean have you looked at her closely,youcan see the baby bump.and michael,i agree she has looked pregnant for a long time my friend and i have thought she was pregnant for the last part of season 4 and all of season 5.and if they werent writing it in wouldent they be already started to hide it ,because you can totally tell she is pregnant.im know im crossing my fingers for a mcbaby

oh yeah and scrub tops do not hide much trust me.im in the medical proffesion and i wear one every day. they do not hide baby bumps,no matter what size you wear.
