Grey's Anatomy Spoilers: Proposal Still On, We Swear

Despite yet another setback delaying the Derek-Meredith engagement, Zap2it's Korbi Ghosh insists that McDreamy will bounce back and pop the question:

Q: That Derek-Meredith scene on last week's Grey's Anatomy? Did NOT like it. I knew the show would never let the proposal actually happen. What the hell!

A: I like your passion, but Derek will propose. Soon. I promise.

What did you think of the Grey's Anatomy scene in question? How long will it take for Derek to actually propose to Meredith? How should he go about doing it?

Just Leave, Meredith!

The Writers' Take on "I Will Follow You Into the Dark"

Grey's Anatomy writer Jenna Bans, who penned last night's episode, have posted some thoughts on "I Will Follow You Into the Dark" on the show's official writers' blog.

Here are some excerpts, with a link to the full column below ...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Derek Shepherd is not in a good place right now. In fact, the dude’s pretty much at his worst. Remember when our friendly neighborhood serial killer Eric Stoltz told him they had a lot in common? Derek’s started to believe him.
What I love about this storyline, besides that it gives the talented Patrick Dempsey a chance to show us just how big his acting range is, is you’d never think it would happen to Shepherd.
He knows brains like I know ... well, nothing. Maybe chocolate.
But the point is, he’s not just a star in his field, he runs his field. It’s like the Pope having a crisis of faith. And everyone’s feeling it – Mark, literally with his maimed hand, Richard, who can’t possibly run his surgical floor without his star neurosurgeon .... and sad little Shadow Shepherd, who finally gets his shot to impress his colleagues, and not one of them can remember his name.
I Quit
And it’s not because he’s not a good surgeon, it’s just with Shepherd around, who pays attention to the bald dude in glasses? In the end, Derek’s legendary status ends up hurting Derek the most. Because when people expect greatness out of you 24/7, it’s damn near impossible to live up to. You’re bound to take a big fall.
... Shonda’s had this Patient X thing in her head for a long, long time – and when she first pitched it out, I immediately loved it. And hated it. I still love and hate it.
Because it’s so totally messed up and unfair.
What Izzie’s doing, teaching the interns, is a selfless, meaningful endeavor that no one else, even Alex, will ever give her credit for. Everyone’s been busy clamoring for surgeries while Izzie’s quietly achieved the impossible – she’s turned the gaggle of morons we met in season 4 into doctors. And now she’s DYING. And no one gets her, and no one knows it, and it’s seriously UNFAIR.
Grey's Anatomy Forum: "I Will Follow You Into the Dark"
Tonight, Grey's Anatomy finally returns from its hiatus with a new episode, "I Will Follow You Into the Dark." From what we've seen so far, there's a lot going on at Seattle Grace.
Izzie Stevens' ailment will be revealed at last, and whatever it is, the next step will be interesting. Derek decides he's had enough people die on his watch and walks off the job.
Callie's still stressing over Arizona (with Mark along for comic relief, of course), and Adele returns to settle issues between Bailey and the Chief. Sounds like a good one tonight!
Grey's Anatomy Spoilers: Third Time the Charm?
EW's Michael Ausiello has the official description of what's wrong with Izzie (although you'll have to figure it out still), along with a fun tidbit pertaining to Derek's proposal ...
Q: Got any clues as to what's ailing Izzie on Grey's Anatomy?
A: Sources confirm to me exclusively that Izzie will learn in this week's episode that she has ***** * ********** ******** that has spread to her ***** and *****.
Q: I need some Mer-Der proposal scoop, please!
A: Derek's second attempt to pop the question goes haywire, but the third time's the charm - Patrick Dempsey (sort of) said so himself on The View yesterday!
Roommates, Lovers ...
Pair of Grey's Anatomy Guest Stars to Return
Amy Madigan will be reprising her role as Seattle Grace's on-call shrink next month on Grey's Anatomy, only this time it's not Meredith Grey she's working with, it's Owen (Kevin McKidd).
The ex-military doc's post-traumatic stress disorder will flare up, causing him to physically hurt Cristina, albeit unintentionally, we hope. Let's hope Madigan's Dr. Wyatt can help him out.
Amy Madigan
Also returning to Grey's Anatomy is Callie's dad, played by Hector Elizondo. Pops, er, pops up in April and is shocked to discover that his daughter is now into girls. That should be good.
