It really should be a MerDer wedding. I am sad and disappointed it's not (if Ausiello is right).
I would LOVE a Gizzie wedding, but it's really not gonna happen, given how little interaction they have had this season (which I am glad is picking up again) and the fact that Shonda & Co. seem to not want to go there-- whether it be the haters that scared them or whatever. BUT I certainly would love a Gizzie wedding. :)
If it's AI, I will be sad, very sad. But I have to say that I really don't think that Izzie will die. And where AI are in their relationship does not seem strong enough to jump to marriage, so I don't think a wedding right now would work out too well for AI in the long run.
Mexie maybe? That would be a bold move for Shonda & Co. But it seems to me with all the declarations b/t those two lately, that this could very well be in the cards. That would certainly put a lot of disgruntled fans' panties in a bunch, now wouldn't it??? ;)
George-- so glad to see he's gonna finally have a story. We are all gonna get to see what a kick-*ss doc our George really is. And I love Hunt, so I think this is gonna be great to watch!!! As for that last part about him joining the army, going to Iraq? Ausiello is just supposing there! Read it again, how it's written. He's just trying to connect it back to one of his old, proven-wrong spoilers from a few weeks back. Maybe there is something in it, but I don't believe TR is leaving. I just refuse to. Greys wouldn't be the same w/o our George.

I can't stand George either. Never have, never will. I mean he pretends to be all sweet and stuff but he ends up cheating on his wife! At least Alex wasn't exactly exclusively dating Izzie when he slept with someone else, and he never was all self-righteous. He knew he was bad-a$$ and he never pretended to be otherwise. But I think he's grown a lot throughout the seasons. And deep inside he's a really kind-hearted and sweet person. And I think Alex is a much better person than George is, and Alex has the potential to become even better.
And the only reason Izzie was hallucinating about Denny when she was with Alex was because of the Cancer thing. I could throw back the question you asked about why Izzie didn't fantasize about having kids with Alex. If you think Izzie really does feel strongly about George, why didn't she fantasize about George? Answer that smartmouth.
And trust me, Izzie would've fantasized being with other guys when she was with George if she wasn't too busy feeling guilty for being a HOME-WRECKER. I mean, she couldn't even be sexually satisfied with George and was horrified at the prospect of doing it with him. Call me crazy, but when you do it with someone you love, you're supposed to enjoy it. The fact that Izzie finds having sex with George horrifying qualifies their romantic relationship as bull. The only time I remember Izzie enjoying having sex with George was when he was still MARRIED and they were both DRUNK out of their minds. Which goes to show they don't really like each other in that way, they were just influenced by the moment when they first did it.
And I think Alex has more fans than George, so there :-P

All my friends, acquaintances and people I know love Gizzie, and not one of them post on the Internet.
And for the record, the ratings were 7 millions higher when Gizzie was together.
The ratings started dropping when they ended, and I know a whole lot of Gizzie fans who refuse to watch the show since Gizzie broke up.
If Gizzie got the ratings to drop, the ratings would be higher now than they were when they were together not 7 millions lower.
Oh and on an Australian poll, 75% said they loved Gizzie as a couple.
For the record, Shonda said Gizzie having bad sex later was all about guilt, NOT them not being goosd in bed together. It was guilt and baggage. Izzie and george couldn't even kiss.
But remember in that elevator when they kissed and both were SOBER, they both enjoyed it a lot, especially Izzie. She didn,t want it to stop. She did enjoy kissing him and was sober and that wasn't a friendly peck.
And lest you forget Alex and Izzie had the same sex problem. Alex couldn't get it up at all, and Izzie told George she thought she and Alex were not meant to be. She thought that experience was terrible too.
Izzie wanted the perfect night of love with George because she was so in love with him but she also felt guilty, like yourself said. Pressure and guilt put together, nobody could have great sex. The fact they couldn't kiss when they had kisser before SOBER proves bad chemistry had nothing to do with it.
Shonda said so herself, that it had nothing to do with their chemistry or them being in bed together.
And didn,t Izzie make fun of Alex being lousy in bed with George that day, when she and George flirted at the table.
So let it go, plenty of couples had bad sex experience in TV shows because of huilt or fear or pressure, then ended up together. Think Seth and Summer who had numerous bad sexual experiences but had great sex in the end.
Not to mention, the bad sex might also have been Shonda cowering to the cheating AI fans.
Oh and on a recent poll on voote.com, just from last week, George not Alex won best guy for Izzie, a year after their breakup.
I remember AI fans threatening to break Shonda's legs or hoping she would have a car accident because of Gizzie. The very nice people on TWOP, you know the ones who spammed the first panel against Gizzie?
Shonda said the Gizzie haters acted like Gizzie was the apocalypse, and it was silly. That was in the Ask Grey clips when a Gizzie fan asked if they were going to reunite.
She also said she knew Gizzie had a lot of fans though.
Oh and Katherine heigl said half the fans she met hated Gizzie but the other half were totally madly in love with them.
All the critics now are recognizing Gizzie has many many fans.
The haters are the minority, they are just extra whiny.
Oh as for Alex, I know so many people who hate his guts. I'd say 99% of George fans hate him while most Alex fans love George. I know Alex fans post on George fan threads all the time. George fans never do. They think Alex is the biggest loser ever.
Katherine heigl also said that when she asked the fans who was their favorite character, George got the most votes by far, LOL. George not Izzie or Alex.
99% of the people love George. Alex, not so much.

Thank you for the very diplomatic post. I did not mean to trash George, because although I do not like him much as a character, I do try to respect others' opinions as well. I just get pissed at people who try to rub him in to other people's faces in the hopes that they could convert them to their thinking.
As for Izzie, I actually do like Izzie as a character and just mentioned homewrecker in the context of her romantic relationship with George not being a good one so to speak.
Anyway, as for tonight, my biggest hope is to see an interaction between Alex and Izzie. I want them to acknowledge how all the recent events could affect their relationship. Also, I'm excited to see the proposal between DerMer. I wanna know how Der proposed and how Mer accepts. I also wanna see how Owen deals with strangling Cristina and how Cristina attempts to fix things with Owen after. Basically, I'm excited to see all developments. Tonight's episode looks to be very promising.

We weren't vocal enough before, but that doesn't mean we weren't there.
The bad sex was about the guilt. Both george and Izzie had problems with the sex, not just Izzie.
She wasn't horrified by george. She said the sex was horrible, just like she said the sex with Alex was horrible when he couldn't do it with her in season 2.
In both cases, it wasn't about bad sex, it was about deeper psychological issues.
I hate AI but I can admit that. GI was about guilt. AI was about Alex feeling inferior.
It happened to me and my boyfriend when we first got together after being friends for years. It was tough going from friends to more. 10 years later, and 5 years of marriage, our love life is just fine.

Millions of people watch and it is impossible to prove the exact popularity of a couple or character.
This gets annoying. How about both fanbases show each other some respect. If you don't like a couple or a characetr, keep it to yourself. People's feelings get hurt.
I hate many couples on this show but I shut up out of respect for their fans.
For the record, I love both Gizzie as couple and as friends, but I just love George and want him to find love, whoever it is with.

Yes I understand what I am posting. That poll was done at the beginning of the Gizzie affair. Everyone agrees and knows that after that, especially at the beginning of season 4, Gizzie started gaining more fans. I know many former haters posted on Grey matter saying they had fallen in love with Gizzie after the george's I love you. Proof is they got a 75% around the time they broke up.
I had two friends who did too.
Alex judged George for the affair and then engaged in an affair of his own.
Alex judged Addison when she helped a woman who was tired of having babies do a surgery that would allow her not to be able to have babies anymore. He told her husband about it, and basically treated the woman like a hypocrit slut for not wanting to have kids anymore when she already had 7.
Addison almost lost her job over that, and he was all over her for helping that patient and all over the patient.
He was completely self-righteous and has been that many times with patient.
George always shows his patient empathy no matter how they act.
That would be why Alex failed his bedside manner exam, remember?
George is really great with his patients because he is not self-righteous, and any person who beats up on themselves as much as George can be self-righteous.
You are talking about Izzie listing off good person. She listed George first then talked about the affair. I thought that was very OOC of her as hmm, she had the affair too, and excused it a lot more than george. Then she said Alex was a good person, but in that same episode later, she saw Alex in bed with another woman and changed her mind, and then fantasized about Denny living.
Funny how you forget.
She said George was not perfect because of the affair, but she didn,t say he was a bad person. In fact two episodes agio, she told George he worked so hard without stepping on people to get what he wants unlike others.
She clearly thinks he is a decent person if she points that out.
Also remember Shonda was in a let,s please the Gizize haters and have both GI repeat a million times what terrible people they were for being human and falling in love mantra.
Izzie has told Alex he wa a bastard many times, to everyone around and to his face.
She has always told George how much she admires him and how great he is, except for that one time she talked about the affair, and you mention that one instance where she talked good about Alex and forget all the bad things she said about him and all the great things she said about George.

Oh please Alex slept with a married woman for weeks and he never apologized. Or don,t you have a problem with someone sleeping with a married person. How would you like a girl who slept with your husband or boyfriend. He had no problem sleeping with a married mother at all.
George had a DRUNKEN one-night stand with Izzie. A one-night stand, not an affair. He felt horrible about it and has apologized for it.
Now when did Alex ever apologize for sleeping with Ava?
And excuse me, but to me calling a woman a stupid bitch, betting on a guy dying and smiling when he screams in pain, treating people like garbage, sleeping with a married mother, cheating on your girlfriend, telling a woman the sound of her voice makes you sick (yeah to izzie, his greta love he also called a crazy bitch), all that combined is way worse than sleeping once with the woman you love while being drunk and not knowing what you are doing.
George made one mistake, one mistake that basically everyone on this show has made, and this one mistake cancels out all the good he has done? Are you mental?
If Alex takes responsibility, then why does he never apologize? if he admits he is a bad guy, why did he judge Izzie for sleeping with a married man the very week he started sleeping with a married woman? That is mighty hypocritaicakl.
George is way less judgmental and is a much better person.

An ABC poll on 40 000 people had Gizzie fans and haters at 50% each.
All my friends, acquaintances and people I know love Gizzie, and not one of them post on the Internet.
And for the record, the ratings were 7 millions higher when Gizzie was together.
The ratings started dropping when they ended, and I know a whole lot of Gizzie fans who refuse to watch the show since Gizzie broke up.
If Gizzie got the ratings to drop, the ratings would be higher now than they were when they were together not 7 millions lower.
Oh and on an Australian poll, 75% said they loved Gizzie as a couple.
For the record, Shonda said Gizzie having bad sex later was all about guilt, NOT them not being goosd in bed together. It was guilt and baggage. Izzie and george couldn't even kiss.
But remember in that elevator when they kissed and both were SOBER, they both enjoyed it a lot, especially Izzie. She didn,t want it to stop. She did enjoy kissing him and was sober and that wasn't a friendly peck.
And lest you forget Alex and Izzie had the same sex problem. Alex couldn't get it up at all, and Izzie told George she thought she and Alex were not meant to be. She thought that experience was terrible too.
Izzie wanted the perfect night of love with George because she was so in love with him but she also felt guilty, like yourself said. Pressure and guilt put together, nobody could have great sex. The fact they couldn't kiss when they had kisser before SOBER proves bad chemistry had nothing to do with it.
Shonda said so herself, that it had nothing to do with their chemistry or them being in bed together.
And didn,t Izzie make fun of Alex being lousy in bed with George that day, when she and George flirted at the table.
So let it go, plenty of couples had bad sex experience in TV shows because of huilt or fear or pressure, then ended up together. Think Seth and Summer who had numerous bad sexual experiences but had great sex in the end.
Not to mention, the bad sex might also have been Shonda cowering to the cheating AI fans.
Oh and on a recent poll on voote.com, just from last week, George not Alex won best guy for Izzie, a year after their breakup.
I remember AI fans threatening to break Shonda's legs or hoping she would have a car accident because of Gizzie. The very nice people on TWOP, you know the ones who spammed the first panel against Gizzie?
Shonda said the Gizzie haters acted like Gizzie was the apocalypse, and it was silly. That was in the Ask Grey clips when a Gizzie fan asked if they were going to reunite.
She also said she knew Gizzie had a lot of fans though.
Oh and Katherine heigl said half the fans she met hated Gizzie but the other half were totally madly in love with them.
All the critics now are recognizing Gizzie has many many fans.
The haters are the minority, they are just extra whiny.
Oh as for Alex, I know so many people who hate his guts. I'd say 99% of George fans hate him while most Alex fans love George. I know Alex fans post on George fan threads all the time. George fans never do. They think Alex is the biggest loser ever.
Katherine heigl also said that when she asked the fans who was their favorite character, George got the most votes by far, LOL. George not Izzie or Alex.
99% of the people love George. Alex, not so much.

Thank you for the very diplomatic post. I did not mean to trash George, because although I do not like him much as a character, I do try to respect others' opinions as well. I just get pissed at people who try to rub him in to other people's faces in the hopes that they could convert them to their thinking.
As for Izzie, I actually do like Izzie as a character and just mentioned homewrecker in the context of her romantic relationship with George not being a good one so to speak.
Anyway, as for tonight, my biggest hope is to see an interaction between Alex and Izzie. I want them to acknowledge how all the recent events could affect their relationship. Also, I'm excited to see the proposal between DerMer. I wanna know how Der proposed and how Mer accepts. I also wanna see how Owen deals with strangling Cristina and how Cristina attempts to fix things with Owen after. Basically, I'm excited to see all developments. Tonight's episode looks to be very promising.

Alex the abusive jerk who splet with a married woman without twinge of guilt is a better guy than George the good guy of the show. Hmm ok. Give me some of the drugs you are smoking.
Izzie basically told George she would be honoured to be as amazing as he is two episodes ago.
She obviously still thinks he is amazing.
Didn't she tell Alex a dead guy was better than him? Yeah a ringing endorsement.
Mer and Izzie never said Alex was better than George. I have watched every episode and I would know.
Alex felt guilty about the affair with Ava. News to me. He slept with ehr then blamed her for it. What a stand-up guy!
He never apologized for a thing he did.
George always does.
It is kind of pathetic you have to slam George to bring up Alex. And there are a lot of people who love the Gizzie romance. I meet them everywhere.
We weren't vocal enough before, but that doesn't mean we weren't there.
The bad sex was about the guilt. Both george and Izzie had problems with the sex, not just Izzie.
She wasn't horrified by george. She said the sex was horrible, just like she said the sex with Alex was horrible when he couldn't do it with her in season 2.
In both cases, it wasn't about bad sex, it was about deeper psychological issues.
I hate AI but I can admit that. GI was about guilt. AI was about Alex feeling inferior.
It happened to me and my boyfriend when we first got together after being friends for years. It was tough going from friends to more. 10 years later, and 5 years of marriage, our love life is just fine.

How about we agree that both GI and AI have a lot of fans and a lot of haters, and that both charactrs have many fans and drop it.
Millions of people watch and it is impossible to prove the exact popularity of a couple or character.
This gets annoying. How about both fanbases show each other some respect. If you don't like a couple or a characetr, keep it to yourself. People's feelings get hurt.
I hate many couples on this show but I shut up out of respect for their fans.
For the record, I love both Gizzie as couple and as friends, but I just love George and want him to find love, whoever it is with.
I am just so happy our George is getting some airtime.

As for Alex being a good man, and they think George isn't so much, try watching the 1st/2nd ep of Season 5.
And like I said, Alex never pretended like he was holier-than-thou. He knew he was an a$$ and he didn't for a second pretend like he was all self-righteous. But he is slowly redeeming himself and becoming better and better as the show progresses.

Yes I understand what I am posting. That poll was done at the beginning of the Gizzie affair. Everyone agrees and knows that after that, especially at the beginning of season 4, Gizzie started gaining more fans. I know many former haters posted on Grey matter saying they had fallen in love with Gizzie after the george's I love you. Proof is they got a 75% around the time they broke up.
I had two friends who did too.
Alex judged George for the affair and then engaged in an affair of his own.
Alex judged Addison when she helped a woman who was tired of having babies do a surgery that would allow her not to be able to have babies anymore. He told her husband about it, and basically treated the woman like a hypocrit slut for not wanting to have kids anymore when she already had 7.
Addison almost lost her job over that, and he was all over her for helping that patient and all over the patient.
He was completely self-righteous and has been that many times with patient.
George always shows his patient empathy no matter how they act.
That would be why Alex failed his bedside manner exam, remember?
George is really great with his patients because he is not self-righteous, and any person who beats up on themselves as much as George can be self-righteous.
You are talking about Izzie listing off good person. She listed George first then talked about the affair. I thought that was very OOC of her as hmm, she had the affair too, and excused it a lot more than george. Then she said Alex was a good person, but in that same episode later, she saw Alex in bed with another woman and changed her mind, and then fantasized about Denny living.
Funny how you forget.
She said George was not perfect because of the affair, but she didn,t say he was a bad person. In fact two episodes agio, she told George he worked so hard without stepping on people to get what he wants unlike others.
She clearly thinks he is a decent person if she points that out.
Also remember Shonda was in a let,s please the Gizize haters and have both GI repeat a million times what terrible people they were for being human and falling in love mantra.
Izzie has told Alex he wa a bastard many times, to everyone around and to his face.
She has always told George how much she admires him and how great he is, except for that one time she talked about the affair, and you mention that one instance where she talked good about Alex and forget all the bad things she said about him and all the great things she said about George.
Selective memory or what?
