Are Cristina and Owen over for good after last week's amazing episode, or is there a chance the couple may find itself back together despite the increasingly difficult odds?
According to E! Online's spoiler Q&A, the Grey's Anatomy fifth season finale features two characters at a military recruiting office. That's an intriguing development.
Is Owen leaving Cristina and Seattle Grace for another enlistment in the U.S. Army?! Could it instead be George leaving Seattle, with Owen with him there for support?

Oh, no don't make George enlist. I can totally not believe that George would go be a military doctor, and I don't really want Owen to leave either! Maybe it will be a cliffhanger with George getting ready to sign the papers, but then the season opener of next season, he will have changed his mind.

I like George and all, but I do hope Owen doesn't leave. I seriously don't think the show would be as interesting without Owen & Cristina...

You have got to be kidding me!! How in the heck can you wrap our heearts around this wonderful love story blumming and then tear the rug out from under us. Cristina/Owen are just MAGICAL together.
This must be some kind of joke, believe me the Cristina/Owen fans are NOT LAUGHING!!!

I don't think it will be Owen. I really hope not. I think he just brings George to help him out and get him started. Ugh. I don't want George to go either.

Owen isn't the one enlisting, George is...and I don't know how I feel about that. I think it is completely random, but I think something has been building inside of George for a while now. Hopefully they aren't making Izzie die, and that's her exit, and then george enlisting and that be his exit. I of course would NEVER stop watching grey's I love it way too much, but it won't be the same with out either of them.

I think that Owen will definitely be back. IF TR is leaving, this may be the way that he goes. If that is the case, George may be able to visit when he is on leave. I do think that if KH and TR were able to negotiate out of their contracts, that they will still be required to film some episodes for next season.
I keep reading that George is going to get some big storyline, but considering that there are only 4 episodes left, I don't see how that is going to happen. Its a shame that they are going to try to squeeze him in at the end, especially if he is leaving. He deserves a better send off, so thats why I think he'll be around at least in the beginning of next season.

i think season finale features two characters at a military recruiting office means, owen will accompany george to enlist himself in the military. ACCOMPANY. not enlist himself in.
i will kill myself if owen leaves.

Trust me Owen is not leaving, and I am pretty positive that the "wedding" is in a dream sequence. Maybe Izzie being in a coma and dreaming about everyones weddings, like a future dream or something. I just don't see them getting married that fast...I have a feeling the season finale is going to shock the hell out of everyone though.

Kristen, I agree. They wouldn't make the actual wedding come so quickly. And remember how they keep saying that Shonda loves coming full circle? So the dream sequence makes sense: Mer and Der getting married, Izzie seeing Denny because she dies (which I would SERIOUSLY hate btw!)...and I don't think Owen will go back. He has PTSD because of everything he went through over there. And he doesn't talk about Iraq. Why would he go back? Especially since he and Cristina are all amazing and in love and all. I could see George going though, needing something new and asking Owen to help him finalize the deal. Maybe Owen goes and talks George out of it. Regardless, the season finale is going to be one big twister. I can't wait!
