Below is the first promo for "Elevator Love Letter," this Thursday's all-new episode of Grey's Anatomy. It's the 19th episode of the show's current fifth season.
The big stories: Derek returns to the hospital to perform his first surgery since his breakdown, Izzie's medical condition requires her to undergo a difficult operation of her own, and Owen experiences another PTSD episode that injures Cristina and traumatizes both.

she is not going to die.. derek has to be succesfull this time because if she dies he`ll quit for ever.
things will get better and derek will propose this time! at the elevator!!

I don't want Izzie to die either...but my question is if she doesn't die, then where do they go from there? Keep her in the hospital...she loses all her hair from the chemo? Or does the surgery mean they got it all...I don't know I don't want her to die. Theres a sneak peak out there and all the interns and bailey are in her hospital room, except george...

Have you noticed that when Izzie is getting ready for surgery, she is laying down and they have a cover over her hair? Doesn't that mean they aren't doing the surgery in her brain, they are doing it in her organs, and if that's the case, wouldn't somebody else like the chief or Bailey do that surgery?

Maybe she is undergoing more then one surgery in the episode...I'm not sure but it could be. Who knows what happens..

From the promo I saw online, she has multiple surgeries and one is on her liver. That may be first.

OMG, this looks so sad! I cannot wait for the next episode!!! Yeah, that mean doctor mentioned there were gonna be a ton of surgeries for Izzie over the next weeks. Poor her...and poor Alex! And poor George! I nearly cried just watching the promo... When Alex says "This is not how it's supposed to happen!" And the way he looks in on her while she sleeps. And they finally acknowledge George and Izzie being best friends when he smashes stuff and Callie tells him. Whaaa, why do we have to wait that long! She won't die next week, I think they will show her in treatment for the rest of the season (or her refusing, changing her mind, whatever) and IF she has to die I believe that would be a thing for the season finale. But I really, really hope not. Don't let Izzie die! :( Grey's without my favorite character just wouldn't be the same... One more thing: If she dies in the end, it wouldn't necessarily be Derek's fault, his surgery can go fine, but there's so much other stuff wrong with her, the cancer can have spread to God knows where...
