Discuss "Elevator Love Letter" in our Grey's Anatomy Forum!

Is tonight the night?

The night when Derek and Meredith finally, after four years of love, drama, heartbreak and intimate moments, officially decide they want to spend their lives together?

It would be fitting if this happened in tonight's episode, "Elevator Love Letter."

Grey's Anatomy premiered March 27, 2005. If fans could celebrate a MerDer engagement tomorrow morning - four years to the day their love was born - well, it would be perfect.

Derek has to actually come through, though, and his first couple of attempts at popping the question haven't exactly gone well. Can he pull the trigger tonight?

Check out the spoilers, photos and previews we've posted for a primer of "Elevator Love Letter," which also includes the major story of Izzie becoming a patient at Seattle Grace.

Can her friends band together to save her, or is a tragic season finale ahead?

As always, you can discuss "Elevator Love Letter" before, during and after the episode in our Share Share  Comments 112 Comments

    What's Sublicensing?
Sublicensing is starting point an information highway Gambling business thru an existing licensee of a Net Betting Program Supplier . To explain, somebody changed into a licensee of one of the corporations in the Licensing Section and is prepared to supply sublicensing agreements to other corporations. Often , there's an initiation fee one must pay, which occasionally can be as low as Bucks $20,000 and as high as $ $100,000 ( some are higher ). The proportion of the take a sublicensee receives is sometimes a lot less than a full licensee. While extra money is spent on promoting with less returns, the price tag to start the business has been reduced significantly. Additionally, the initiation fee helps the licensee offset the licensing charges paid to the Net Betting Software Supplier . All ecommerce for a sublicensee are accomplished thru the company account of the licensee. Usually, each exchange can be tracked individually as it originated from the sublicensee's internet site. The sublicensee is paid from the licensee without delay.

Often , the gaming license as well as website hosting is offered as an element of the package. Infrequently an once a month fee for the website hosting and upkeep is needed. Royalties paid to a Sublicense from the licensee are from 20-75% of the monthly profits.

It is generally on a variable scale basis.

As an example : the subliensee receives 35% of the the profits for the 1st Greenbacks $550,000 in monthly cash ; and will receive 40% of the profits for $550,001 - 999,999 ; and will receive 45% of the profits for over $1,000,000 in monthly revenue.

What should be closely studied is the reporting of the numbers, which is generally thru 3rd party. Another possibility is to enroll with a casino web master affiliate marketing programme. An affiliate marketing program is designed as a revenue sharing model : A web master receives a share of the money from another casino for each gambler he / she refers. In a number of cases, this extends for the life of the wagers from that individual. As an example, a gambler goes to your internet site, which is associated with A Casino. The gambler clicks on the A Casino link and signs up for an account with A Casino ( this is referred to as a "conversion" ). The gambler loses $1000 in wagers over the course of the month. If the program paid 25%, the casino would mail a check for $250 to the affiliate ( web-master ). Sometimes there are no upfront expenses associated with this. These business models need an acute high level of trust for the casino. To maximise income, a web designer usually place the best performing casinos with the biggest payouts in the best web position on the site.

does anyone know the name and/or artist of that song they played in the opening scene of "Elevator Love Letter"? Thank you SO much!

  3. Katia Says:

Gizzie are so much better than Alex and Izzie. It makes me sick that the AI fans cheated and acted like lunatics to get what they want and we lost our couple because of it, and now they are so scared about Gizzie's superior chemistry and love, we can't even have the friendship anymore.

  4. Karson Says:

Yes but in seasons 3 and 4 and even the two first episodes of the season, Shond aliterally gushed about TR. Shonda used to favour George so much, the non-George fans really got angry at it.

She called him the heart of the show in season 2.

In the end of season 3, in the podcast, she said TR was one of the best actors she knew.

She gushed about Bailey and George, saying she adored them.

She said multiple times she adored George and he was one of her favorites.

When season 5 started she said how amazing TR and Chyler worked together and we just had to watch their scenes. We would love George and Lexie.

Then after Brooke Smith got fired, no George. The George and Owen thing, the Gexie thing all dropped.

There were rumors TR wasn't happy about it and his screentime went down there and then.

The TR is amazing speeches stopped not only by Shonda but by all the writers who would gush over him in the past. They didn't even mention him.

Melissa George, who became very good buddies with TR and often lamented how his amazing talent was wasted, said in a parting interview that Shonda looked really sweet but if you got her angry for any reason, she could become a vindictive witch to her actors when she got mad at him.

Obviously TR standing up for his friend Brooke got on Shonda's nerves, and bam, she made him pay.

Everyone on the cast adores TR but Shonda, not so much, so yes, if blame there is, it is ALL on her.

She is the boss, she should be professional plus at least TR didn't embarass them publicly unlike Katie but then Katie got the sex with dead ghost, did she?

By all accounts TR is a sweetheart, so Shonda should just get over her childish grudge and give him a story like we have all been begging her to.

I have no respect for them woman. She is a total *itch.

TR is a class-act that deserves better.

Calling Izzie a bitch is something that has ruined Alex for me. And then saying her voice made him sick. I don't like verbal abuse.

  5. TDS Says:

I am completely a fan of the Izzie/George friendship so it definitely wouldn't make me happy if Shonda ruined it or didn't give them scenes for the rest of the season. I really think that there is something going on behind the scenes that caused TR's screentime to diminish (not saying its his fault at all, just that there is stuff that we probably don't know about.) I don't think that Shonda hates any of her characters or her fans, after all she created them. But she may like some more than others...like Denny.

There were photos that showed Mer and George (and maybe Cristina) going to Izzie's room but they didn't include that in the episode for whatver reason. I wish that they would have because I really don't think that it is completely in character for any of the Fab 5 to not see Izzie before she went into surgery. Even if they all just stood there together and stared and made her uncomfortabe like they did before LOL!

And Alex called Izzie a stupid bitch not a crazy bitch, but I guess I'm not doing him any favors by pointing that out :)

  6. Gina Says:

Well Alex didn't go into the room, did he? Not one of them till until after the operation, and Alex isn't the one whose dad died of cancer. But no, I wouldn't have called him abusive or selfish or anything.

I would have know it for what it was, him being scared.

I only call Alex abusive when he yells in Izzie's face or calls her a crazy bitch. Certainly not for being terrified of losing Izzie.

Please don't put words into people's mouths.

Besides, Shonda is trying very hard to ruin the Gizzie friendship to please all the AI fans and Gizzie haters. I don't expect her to ever give us a Gizzie friendship scene again.

That hsould make you happy, but imagine how you would feel if Shonda was screwing with AI like that.

We Gizzie fans love Gizzie just as much as you love AI. I don't think you have any idea how much Shonda has hurt us. Or heck maybe you don't care.

  7. TDS Says:

I agree that George was scared and frustrated with himself for not being able to get Izzie to talk. But you have to admit, if it had been Alex who didn't go into her room at all in the episode, he would have been called self-involved, selfish, abusive, not good enough for Izzie, etc.

  8. !greys Says:

and dude if you read the writers blog they actually say that izzie is dying.

"I adore Alex, always have. And this was the perfect time to have him narrate the show, since he’s just learned that Izzie is dying. When Alex is venting to Meredith in the on-call room-- Oh man"

  9. !greys Says:

omg yes greysaddiction i was SO pissed off at all of them for not being there for izzie, i mean i know they were scared but she was SO alone.... and felt alone too.

and did anyone else notice how much this episode was almost JUST like the season 2 finale... with dennys surgery instead it was izzies, and alex layed in her bed.... and christina and owens sex was almost the same as dereks and mers the prom night.

  10. greysaddiction Says:

A reminder why George would totally freak out--
