All I can say, finally. Both Izzie and George hadn't had any good storyline since their affair. I think it's totally the writers fault that I feel relieved that they finally go. In season 1+2 I thought they were pretty good and good storylines and stuff. But since that fatal affair both characters went down. And this unbelievable stupid Denny storyline in season 5 was just the topping on things getting worst.
If the writers can't come up with new interesting stuff for them it's better they leave. I'm only hoping they let Lexie go as well. She's right behind Izzie when it comes to annoying in season 5.
Helen I agree with you that Ellen is a great actress. But sometimes a show is named after a show because that's where it starts. It doesn't always mean they are always at the center. I believe now more than every GA is relying on the story lines and relationships of their other characters. And I do believe the ups & downs of Mer&Der are more real than a lot of other tv relationships but the only issue I've got with them(Mer) is this: when a man shows you a blue print of a house on a cliff overlooking the city and it's for YOU...you suck it up and move in.

Jamie, you are rude and an idiot. Having watched TR in many theather plays before he went on Grey, having watch him on CSI and The last request and even Sesame Street, I know he will not suck. He was amazing in all those roles, especially Mozart. He was Mozart and blew me away.
He is an amazing versatile actor who can do anything he wants, and Shonda is a true idiot for wasting him that way.
George hasn't had anything to do in two eyars. He doesn't deserve that.
The fans love George. We miss him, we have been begging for months and months for her to show more of our beloved wonderful George and now this.
I stuck around when they ended Gizzie when moist Gizzie fans quit because of TR and George. I even rooted for Gexie, and what did I get? What did all the George fans get? Nothing,w e got ignored completely like we didn't matter at all.
Shonda is to blame here, not TR. All he wants to do is be able to act again, and to get some respect. It makes me so amd that some people are making him the bad guy.
I guess Shonda is as vindictive as they say and got back at him for having to fire her ebst friend.
I will never watch Grey or anything she does again, and I always mean what I say.

and I love denny. looooooove denny. But bringing him back? not ok. they didn't even write his character correctly. dead denny is selfish, overprotective, and annoying. REAL denny is amazing.
grey's needs to learn how to do an awesome, ratings boosting episode. Like their superbowl episode? amazing. season two finale? amazing!
ferry boat, pp crossovers, dead denny? no, not so much.
everyone should go back and watch season one again to remind themselves of how amazing the show was before it tanks. But I do love the characters, and even when the show sucks, I'll still cry my eyes out when it ends.

I must say thank goodness they are finally leaving!!! All they do is complain about being on the show, they don't appreciate what a great career they have on the show. It's like they took it for granted that they would always have a good role and blah, blah, blah. Maybe we can hear about other cast members other than these two from now on. How am I not surprised that they're both leaving at the same time.
Francois Says:

My wife and I are devastated. We love those two. Well I love Izzie, and she loves George, LOL, and we love Gizzie. They are so us when we got married 45 years ago.
And when has TR ever complained? All I am hearing are other people talking for him. Has he ever actually complained publically? I know Ellen did and Katherine and Patrick, but has TR? If not, then really you have no business calling him whiny.
If he was whiny, I would fully support him. The way that woman Shonda has treated him the last two eyars is criminal, no doubt about it.
My wife and I will be tuning out when they leave, but then I guess this show doesn't care about old geezers like us, just the little teens.
Rilla Says:

George and Izzie can't leave. I LOVE them. I love them so much, especially my teddy bear George. I will be so sad if he leaves.
Francois, out of all the cast members the only big whiner was Katherine Heigl. Ellen and Patrick made comments about their character's decisions towards their relationship, not exactly the entire show.
TR has neer complained and you know what? Good for him. Shows some dignity. I hope he does well but I really hope he reconsiders and just let KH go.
And I don't know if Trey is still reading this but yeah, Maura Tierney was never nominated for an Emmy. She, along with Carter and Susan, was my fav. ER character. Sucks.
I would be sorry to see them go but George's character has been boring since the beginning. The problem is the fact that he has no chemistry with any of the women that they have tried to team him up with. The marriage with Cally was an absolute disaster, they were so stiff that the fans noticed it. Cally had more chemistry with Hahn. George needs to have the plot line that he deserves, that of a gay man struggling with his feeling. Much better.
As for Izzie, she is yet another irritating character. It's always been Meredith and Derrick, Christina and Burke/Hunt, Izzie and a dead guy, Denny/Alex, sorta George, sorta nobody. She is just boring. The denny thing had some wings and then he died and she has no character left.
Beef it up Shonda. Let's get back to what made Grey's great and don't turn it in to yet another tedious late night soap opera.
we don't know what happens off the set and why TR had a few screentime. Maybe there are some miscommunications between the actors and the producers of the
show that lead to all of these. You can't blame the writers giving tr no screentime even if George is a great chracter. Blame the writers for crappy storylines that is. Heigl might feel that making movies are a lot better than greys and having some cancer as izzie so you can't
blame the writers as well for writing them out. We want the show to stay butwe
cant stop the actors from leaving even if we really like their characters on the show. On the other hand we can't blame the actors if they decide to leave the show when the show is not making them happy. Or they've chosen a better career path.
I am a GA fan and forever will be. I may not always like each episodes but
I'll still continue to watch it till the end. Izzie or no izzie. George or no George.

George and Callie never had chemistry because they were truly a sucky couple all together. George and Izzie, in my opinion, had great chemistry and could have made a phenominal couple had the writers put some effort into it. George and Meredith would have obviously never worked because it's taking away from the holy, precious MerDer. George and Olivia? HA! I hate that bitch. George and Lexie could have worked, maybe...but I don't really like Lexie.
It's not the actor. It's the writers. Besides, look what was happening in his storylines whenever he was getting paired up with women.
