Here we go again.
The ongoing soap opera concerning Grey's Anatomy stars Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight and their uncertain futures took another crazy turn today when their co-star, James Pickens, Jr., commented that both of them are indeed leaving the show.
"Yes, she is," Pickens said when asked if the former Emmy winner was checking out of Seattle Grace. "Wherever Katherine goes, I wish her nothing but the best."
And what about T.R. Knight? "He's going too," Pickens, who plays Dr. Richard Webber, Chief of Surgery, said. "He just wanted to pursue other career paths."
ABC isn't commenting, but according to Entertainment Weekly, sources close to the situation have said regarding Pickens' comments, he may have jumped the gun.
While it's true Heigl and Knight want out, ABC execs have yet to officially issue the actors - who are under contract for six seasons - any Get Out of Jail Free cards.
However, all indications are that it will happen. The only question is when.
"Right now, the whole thing is in the hands of their agents and ABC's lawyers," explains a Grey's Anatomy insider. "Something will probably be worked out soon."

I dont' care if TR leaves, he has not been a good cast member since like season 2..but if Katherine leaves, I will not watch Grey's anymore. christina sucks, Mer Sucks...they are so not interesting, Izzie and Alex together, that is amazing and it needs to happen and stay happen. Izzie brings out a side to Alex that no one else has, Alex show's her, she is more than just a pretty face...he keeps her going...DO NOT do this!!

I don't get why they don't suck it up for one more year. I agree with you Audrey. TR has been really sucky for the past couple of seasons. It's like after 4 years and a number of back hands to the face his character STILL can't stand up for himself. If Izzie leaves I probably will stop watching. That would make it 4 major character exits over 5 years...not a good record.

The GREYS fans that have been here since the pilot already know this. They BOTH seem to think the show was/is ALL about THEM!!!
Why is it the people with the least talent ALWAYS want to be out front???

OMGG!!!! pleasess dont leave Katherine and TR the show neeedds you guyss!! Ratings are down every since the stupidddddd story line SHONDA decided to write. (DENNYY BACK FROM THE DEAD!!) Find some story lines for TR he deserves it!! WE NEED O'MALLEY!!! =)

Don't know what Katie's deal is, but I don't blame T.R. for a second. I've never seen a character cut from a TV show like George has, and I do find that incredibly unfair. A lot of you may not care and think it's alright to say "Good riddance!" (not crazy that you're using the title of a Green Day song...), but there are a few of us out there that are upset about this. And I'm upset that he's leaving, because I love George and T.R. is a great actor. Some of you may not think so, but he does have fans.
I guess after two years I can finally say goodbye to Grey's Anatomy.

I disagree 100%. I have been a fan since the pilot episode as well, and I don't believe they think that the show is all about them. And I definitely don't think they are the ones on the show with the least talent...umm at all.
As a loyal Grey's Anatomy fan, I think this is terrible news, and although I am too loyal of a fan, to stop watching because of this, (I do still LOVE the show) but I think that it will no longer ever be the same. We lost Addison, we lost Burke, we're losing Izzie, and now george...It will never be the same. :(
