There is tons of things left for George to do. He needs to find love. He needs to show he can become a great doctor we all know he can be. I want him to work with kids and be with his old mentor Bailey. I want him and Izzie to be best friends again and he might help her through her sickness.
There is tons they haven't done with George. It is completely stupid to say there is nothing left to write for him when a non-professional like me has just given several ideas of how to write for him.
Why don't they get rid of Lexie? Nobody cares about her. Everyone loves George. So they can give all her airtime and story to George.

I have an idea. Reunite Gizzie and get rid of Alex. He is a total bore and basically ahs never had any story except Izzie. The only thing is A;lex and Izzie are the most boring couple ever, so get rid of him, reunite Gizzie and also fire Chyler Leigh. She sucks. Alex and Lexie's airtime can go to George, who is a much more interesting lovable character.

IMO, George brings all the heart to the show. This is why the show has felt soulless and heartless this season because George was not in it.
If season 5 is an indication of what the show is without George, I am not watching it.

All thsoe characters have been so OOC this season. Izzie finally acted like herself last episode.
George is still his wonderful caring empathic funny self, but they show 2 seconds of him, which is a crying shame because he is such an amazing character and we all love him so much.
I don't recognize the other characters, even Lexie has become unlikable since they tried to make her a sex goddess (pukes).
Clearly some of you lack imagination, as do the writers of Grey's Anatomy.
See, there's never a final stop for a character. There is still so much that can happen to George. It just takes brainstorming and creativity. Like about everyone's precious MerDer: they've been together, broken up, been together, broken up, whined, broken up, had sex, didn't have sex, been together, broken up, and now they're together once again.
To me, that storyline needs some major work, too. George needs the most attention, IMO.
The reason why I'm concerned about what happens to T.R. after he leaves the show is I never seen him anywhere else. Will he get another TV gig after this? Will be start being in movies? You don't know. It's like that with EVERY actor. What's gonna happen to Kevin McKidd when the show's done? Chandra Wilson? Sara Remirez? Ellen Pompeo? (no, I am not accusing her of being a bad actress, I am simply making a point. Yes, I do love Ellen Pompeo. Saw her on David Letterman - very sweet woman)
Hm. Random note: I hear T.R.'s in a documentary/movie thing. Anyone see the video where he spoke at a high school for the Day of Silence last year? Yeah, apparently it's part of a movie/docu thing and it was in different theaters. I believe it's called "Tru", but I could be wrong. The person who posted the video on YouTube has the info in their profile. I'll be buying that movie when it comes to DVD.
Another thing, since I enjoy pimping stuff: has anyone seen his movie "The Last Request"? If you haven't and you're a T.R. fan, go buy it. Go to amazon.com and buy it. Now. It's funny and you can see how great of a comedy actor T.R. is.
...heads up: it's a more mild version of American Pie. Just thought I'd throw that in O_O
Anyway, let's not all fight people. In fact...I don't know if I can really believe this. It's a different story every week. I think if we ignore the rumors everything will die down. Personally, I wish T.R. would come out and tell us what's going on. But that won't happen. That'd make everything too simple, wouldn't it?

I really think TR and Katie have a gag order from the show NOT to talk.
TR mostly did theaters. He did do one CSI episode and he was brilliant in it, but he is mostly a theatre guy, and I am Canadian so I won't be able to go see his plays if he decides to do theater.
Sniff, I want him to do a sitcom or something. He is so funny.
I saw The Last request, it was super hilarious.
Every character has been through so much and yet the show keeps finding stuff for them.
George has yet to decide what he wants to do. He has yet to gain his confidence and break away from the chief and let go of the 007 stigma.
He hasn't found a love that lasts yet (well to me that was GI, but Shonda chickened out).
Izzie needs him right now.
I could write for George. I would have so many ideas for him.
Those are writers. if they can write for Lexie, Sadie, Dr Dixon, a million guest stars and all the other members of fanb 5, they should be able to write for George too. If I can, they can too.
If not, then they should get fired and hire us George fans instead. We obviously have a lot more creativity than them.
And yes, many critics have said MerDer has the same stories over and over again and nothing left to do. Yet I very much doubt their fans would agree with this argument and would be angry if they heard it.
So have some respect for the George fans, and there is a lot of us here, and stop making comments like that. It just upsets us.
