The print edition of TV Guide has some interesting tidbits on the next new episode of Grey's Anatomy, "I Will Follow You Into the Dark," airing March 12 ...
"Just when it seems that Derek and Meredith are en the road to happiness, he suffers a breakdown at the hospital. According to an insider, 'We've never seen him this way before, and it has the whole hospital concerned.' Shaken, he decides to resign.
As Derek Shepherd struggles with his issues, Mark Sloan steps in and is awarded the opportunity to perform a rare and delicate face-transplant surgery.
As for Izzie, the time has come to diagnose exactly what's wrong with her and it's not good. You'll be surprised whom she chooses to confide in first."
Also, the magazine's Q&A has the following exchange:
Q: Does T.R. Knight want Grey's Anatomy because he feels dwarfed by Patrick Dempsey?
A: Knight is staying mum, but who wouldn't feel that way? Dempsey's got his own cologne, for goodness sake. But there's another doctor at Seattle Grace who feels so overshadowed by Derek that he is not so affectionately known as "Shadow Shepherd." We'll meet the hospital's No. 2 neurosurgeon, Dr. Nelson (played by 49-year-old Phil Abrams), on March 12.

I'm thinking that Izzie will most likely choose to confide in Derek first. Telling him that he can't resign, because she's sick and she needs him! Either that or she may confide in Meredith, all the other "original interns" have been so preoccupied they haven't even really noticed Izzie.
Or who knows she might even confide in Lexie. Maybe Lexie figures out that the scans are Izzie's there is no telling. Why do we have to wait SO long!!!!

Haha I know.. seems like forever away! Ooh this episode sounds really good. I like the idea of Derek wanting to leave. At least the focus will be all on him :) :)

Isn't that one of the reasons why he got Ishiah washington fired because he was jealous that Ishiah and dempsey were getting more air time...hello!! I wonder why. Next thing we know, he will get Dempsey fired for wearing the wrong color of shirt.
I think they fired the wrong character!!!

Isaiah was fired for being a prick, not because T.R. was jealous. I've met T.R. several times (I live in L.A.) and he's the farthest thing from "jealous". We actually had a conversation about Patrick Dempsey and he's credited him as one of the most talented actors he's met, and he says it's been a joy working with him.

I'm getting anxiety having to wait two more weeks! How can they do this to us?!
Ryan - if you know T.R. please tell him to NOT quit the show. It won't be the same without him on it. He's so fabulous. Hopefully the writers will wake up and give him some great storylines which he deserves.

I don't actually know him personally, but I've met him several times. The last time I saw him (back in January) he remembered me. If I ever see him again I'll tell him to stay! :P

I also think that Izzie might confide in Derek. Not so much because she already has her diagnosis but maybe because she seems to not be able to confide in anyone else for the time.
I also wonder if Mark is going to reach out to Derek in this tough time for Derek. This could be a good change for the fallout of that fight. I feel that Mark is going to get not enough praise since a lot of the staff is going to be worried about Derek's whereabouts.
Is bringing the issue of Washington's dismissal again? He practically asked for it. It's done.

I agree with anuflas. I really hope Derek and Mark make up, they're currently the cutest guy BFFs on the show.
Let's not keep bringing up the IW thing. It's unnecessary.

I think Mark will reach out to Derek, they are such good friends, and let's face it the fight only came about because of Derek's frustration over the last surgery. I think Derek just needs some fishing time on his land.
T.R. should stay he bring humour to the show and I love his interaction with Dr. Bailey.
