Eric Dane Working On Kids

In addition to hitting on interns and saving lives in his role as Dr. Mark Sloan, a.k.a., McSteamy on Grey's Anatomy, Eric Dane has another job these days: starting a family.

During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show set to air Wednesday, the actor, 36, admitted he and his wife of four years, Rebecca Gayheart, also 36, want children.

"We’re currently working on that," he said.

But the process hasn't been simple.

"It’s funny because you get the doctors involved and they call you and it's like, in eight days I will have to put in some work," Eric Dane explained. Then, he said, for four days, "I will be very busy and I probably shouldn’t schedule anything else."

DeGeneres suggested that four days of sex sounded like "tough work."

"Hard work," he agreed, "great if you can get it though."

The actor also addressed recent rumors that his co-stars Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight will be leaving the ABC series during or after the current fifth season.

"I worked with them this morning and they were both very present," he said, noting that only Grey's Anatomy's creator and executive producer, Shonda Rhimes, could comment with any credibility or authority on the actors' futures.

"Until the boss says this is going down, it’s not happening."

Thank you, Eric Dane. Until the boss says it's going down, then it's just not happening. Rumors, people. Rumors. James Pickens Jr. probably was asked to comment about TR and Katie and bits and pieces of what he said were misconstrued in a way that made it seem that he was saying TR and Katie were definitely leaving. I have said this elsewhere, but I will repeat again, it was US Weekly Mag. that initially "interviewed" JPJr. and supposedly on the 7th. So, if he had really flat out said that TR and Katie were definitely leaving, why did this take until Tues afternoon to come out? They are twisting his words. Or maybe he did say something like that and it's all a publicity stunt. Either way, I refuse to believe until something official comes from ABC, Shonda, KH or TR.
And a message for Shonda, KH & TR-- Greys needs George and Izzie. PERIOD. We really love George & Izzie.

I remember tvguide.com had an article on what was wrong with Izzie and it had something to do with her brain. and I don't believe that her blood results were mixed with that lady. I'm not going to believe Katherine and T.R. is leaving til it is official. This whole thing create lots of buzz for Grey's Anatomy though.....not in the good way.
