It's finally here: the beginning of the big crossover event. But there's plenty going on in Seattle besides the much-anticipated overlap with Private Practice's Addison & Co.
In tonight's episode of Grey's Anatomy, "Beat Your Heart Out," McDreamy has the engagement ring - and everybody, we mean everybody at SGH - is going to see it.
With the exception of Meredith Grey, of course.
Elsewhere, Lexie demands that Mark go public with their relationship, while Bailey, encouraged by her work on recent cases and by Dr. Dixon, considers a new direction for her medical career. Cristina's relationship with Owen continues to progress, as well.

I didn't watch the episode either. Aussiello convinced me when he said George was not in at all.
I aam pretty sure some Gizzie fans will put those scenes on Youtube, they always do, so why watch an hour when I can watch the 10 seconds on YOutube?
I am with Hannah, I won't watch until I hear George is shown again.

OK, where to start???
Liked this epi. It was a leave-you-yearning-for-more kind of epi. Not the magic of the last new epi. But good in its own right still.
My absolute FAVE part was George coming into the MRI room when Izzie was being scanned and his funny little speech into the microphone. George looking out for his best friend. God, I love George!! And the chemistry between those two best friends could be felt in 20 seconds and right through a glass wall. By far, my most favorite scene. And Hannah, I think it was you who wouldn't watch b/c of not much George airtime? I agree with you about being outraged by the lack of George time, but by refusing to watch you missed that incredible 20 seconds that I believe holds the promise of more Gizzie friendship screen time down the road.
I, too, believe that Sadie switched the test results b/t that woman and Izzie. That most certainly sets up her exit (Sadie's). Poor Izzie thinking she's OK. UGH! As for the fan who thought that they weren't tying up this loose end with the Izzie storyline? Last nights epi was a piece in a long storyarc-- just a piece. We have to wait to see it all play out with Izzie's illness, but I don't think that the writers neglected the whole thing in this epi at all. I think what happened w/ Izzie having all those tests done and results getting mixed up will play a significant role in how this storyarc will play out.
The cafe scene was great. But I found it a little revolting at the end of it when Izzie and Alex rushed off together to go try #16 or whatever # on the list.
I want your crappy babies-- when Der said this to Mer-- what a great scene. A McDreamy moment for sure!
Hunt and Cristina-- just perfect this epi. Perfect. So nice and slow (no sex messing it up yet)-- I love that. So emotional, but not over emotional and showing the side of Cristina that has really grown over the past couple of seasons.
Jimbo- I think you were the fan that questioned the place of the whole couple sex mishap patient story. I actually think that this story was very significant. For the Chief. The Chief took a weird turn last epi. Where he crossed the line. I think he's realizing that line is Gray. Not black and white. Big difference for teh Cheif. His laughing w/ Alex and the interns after the patients procedrue? Evidence of a change in the Chief. And will ripple effect to be a change in the atmosphere in life a SGH.
Kudos to Arizona for making Bailey figure out that Peds is teh direction to go!! Didn't like Arizona just kissing Callie. Liked the scene. But the kiss was too forward, I thought.
Lexie and Mark? We will see more next week, I think. That is yet to be determined.
ILOVEELLENPOMPEO-- I feel your pain about no MerDer engagement. But I feel Addie was right to call Der and I feel Der was right to put that first. And yes, it was an emergency call, but he was still having to put a big part of his life on hold-- taking 10 minutes to clean up, was probably an acceptable sacrifice, I think, especially given that Addie still had travel time to SGH. Don't worry. I think it's better that the engagment was postponed. why you ask? B/c when it does happen (and I think it will be at Joe's), I think it's goign to be more natural, more down-to-earth. Not so set-up and prepared. That will make it even more McDreamy, I think!!!!

Morning Everyone!
Melissa George is 100% leaving the show, she confirmed it. I do think that she mixed Izzie's results with the other woman which will cause Sadie to leave... that's a nice way to make her leave, way much better than a stupid parking fight scene!!!
George... I miss him too!
I am a bit mad at Derek for laughing at Mark when he was talking about real love. Mark found something he didn't have since Addison, let him be for god's sake!
Callie/Arizone, sweet... the best part for me, can't wait to see more of them, a nice loving relationship for Callie, no cheating, no leaving... of course we need a bit of drama to make it exciting but with happy ending. 'I' like any other viewers deserve something that represent me. Thanks Shonda, pls don't let ABC twit screw this up again.
