After a photo gallery and two promos, here's a two-minute sneak preview of "An Honest Mistake." And it's a rather intense one, to put it mildly, picking up where last week left off.
In the midst of a major operation, Derek finds his confidence is shaken like never before as he faces off with Addison over what course is best for their dying, pregnant patient ...

I find it interesting that last episode Addison was asking Derek to "be a god" and save Archer. Perform a super risky operation to get those worms out...now she is saying he can't be god and save Jen. Not that I agree with Derek that he should take out her frontal lobe, but I can see where Derek is having some issues regarding morality and obligation.

Yeah. I also think that everyone from his past being there is messing with his head. He wants to live in the now. He wants to propose to Mer. He wants to not be doubted or be put in a little box like Addy did. He wants to be him. All the people from his past expect him to be this perfect Derek... and it's just not possible. The only person who really knows who he is, is Mer. She's even having trouble with being in the back ground watching him with his old friends, and feel like there's this whole part of him she doesn't know. Derek's going to the dark place, and Mer is going to follow him there. Derek is having serious personal and professional doubts at the moment and everything is trialing him more than ever. He's gonna snap... and it's gonna be @ Mark. I'm still assuming that Mark tells him about Lexie and it's the final straw and he just snaps. Mer will be there to pick up the pieces. Maybe he'll end up going to therapy? Hmmmm... MerDer forever :)

Did anyone else notice Meredith jump, when he yelled? I don't think I can ever remember him yelling that in front of her before, I'm sure it would alarm her. Personally since Derek treated the serial killer I think Derek's whole demenour has chnaged. His past has been brought up alot, a past that maybe he doesn't want to re-live. Looks like a good episode.=)

Aaaaaah, OMG, I can't wait! This looks so freaking good! Wow. And then I'm guessing next week they'll finally reveal sth.'s wrong with Izzie, what with "I'll follow you into the dark" and stuff. Man, I love Grey's right now.

Wahoo this epi is going to be intense if it follows suit of this preview! I'm excited now!
I agree with you Maddiexoxo...I think Derek is stuck between lives...so to say. The past has come back to haunt him, asked him to be God, he does what he's asked and saves the day and then Addie questions him about his skills with this case, just like he's been questioning himself. We're definitely going to see the darker side of Der and it will be exciting to see what comes of it!
Does anyone else love that Der tells Mer to not move and she doesn't even budge? I know its all in rage, but its like he needs her there to make him confident, to not second guess himself...to make him the Der that'll save this lady's life like he knows he can do. He needs someone by his side he knows believes in him. Yay! MerDer FOREVER!
One other thing...in the preview the husband tells Der/Addie if it comes down to it, save his wife. So, isn't this what Der's trying to do and Addie's questioning it? Its hard to judge by the one little clip we get, but if Der thinks he can save her life, he has to save her life.
Ugh...3 more days! :o)

personally I'm definitly on Addy's side. Seems like everyone's getting a bit to emotionally invovled with patients this season.
