In the interview we posted earlier, guest star Eric Stoltz said his prisoner character, William Dunn, will be the source of some MerDer drama beginning this week.
TV Guide backs that theory up in its Q&A session today, indicating that what has been a season free of MerDer strife so far may soon take a different turn:
Q: Got any scoop on Grey's Anatomy's Meredith and Derek? Do you have any idea when we'll see the McMansion being built?
A: In lieu of talking drywall (there's no foreseeable movement on Derek and Meredith's dream home, unfortunately), may I interest you in some drama? It turns out that the death row inmate who is admitted to Seattle Grace this week could do some damage to your MerDer. Guest star Eric Stoltz teases that during his three-episode arc, "I certainly insinuate myself into their relationship and am the source of not a little strife."

I'm willing to bet my two cents that they're going to end up fighting over his right to live or not. I mean, they're doctors, it's their job to save lives and they suddenly get a death row inmate in. Derek might decide that he's not worth their time and supplies, while Meredith will be more compassionate, regardless of what this sick person has done, and want to help him to see if she could maybe turn him into a better person somehow?
I think I would laugh really hard if Meredith actually did that though. It seems like a Lexie thing, so maybe Lexie will do that.

I think Meredith sees herself in him... dark and twisty :-D and hoping it means some danger for Meredith and some drama AND LOVE for MerDer :-)

He is obviously going to try to make amends, offering to give his organs. Whether he gets to is a whole other story. We shall see!

finally more merder scenes to come!! (even if they are going to be fighting) we barely have seen anything happen with their relationship. Hopefully the fight won't be too bad and their will be some make up sexy scenes!!!

Oh and greynatic- I think Ellen did put on a few pounds but I think she looks better, a little healthier because she was so frail in past seasons.

hopefully this drama between them will be healthy drama......no relationship is perfect and they were borderlining sick because they never fight anymore.......a little bit of fighting will do them some good....
