The writers are doing an awful job with the Izzie storyline. How is anyone supposed to believe something is seriously wrong with Izzie when she's been acting like her normal old self in the last couple of episodes??? Shonda wants to keep this storyline going on throughout the rest of the season and if Alex, George and the rest took action, Shonda couldn't have her beloved Denny on for so long.
Gabi, get over yourself and stop whining about Gizzie. Shonda screws with every fanbase on the show.

I disagree I feel Meredith is the most self absorbed of the bunch. Izzie pretty much would do anything for her friends...she turns everything into something about her...I love Meredith, as I love all the characters and find it hard to hate any or even dislike(altho I wasn't a fan of burke) But I don't feel that izzie is selfish in the slightest..I will be a die hard Izzie fan to the end, and I feel that if this is all really caused by a brain condition then its nothing that she can help. Who knows maybe Alex won' t be able to take it anymore and he may break up with her and then she collapses or something, and he thinks he could lose her forever?1 haha how soap opera, and drama filld would that be?! ugh i can't wait for tomorrow

I think that they are all self absorbed. I guess Izzie is more selfish when she is with a guy I guess. When Alex cheated she didn't want anyone to talk to him, during Denny and LVAD she didn't care about anything other than getting a heart for Denny so that she could be happy and when she was with George she didn't really care about what her actions were doing to Callie. Now with the Denny/Alex thing I don't think she is being fair to Alex, but Kristen is right, it may be something she can't help. I guess as an Alex fan, I just want him to be happy and I think he deserves to more than someone's second choice.
Izzie tries to be there for her friends alot (when she isn't whining about how Cris and Mer exclude her), but I think because she is set up to be such a selfless compassionate character that when she isn't, it is a lot more noticeable. JMO.

I agree with Gabi. Every fanbase might get screwed over, but the George fans get more than anyone. Everyone has more story than him.
The extras have more lines than him. He just stands there mouth open barely saying anything episode after episode for almost a year and a half now. I don't remember any other character having such few lines for such a long time even when they didn't have a story.
I love Gizzie as both a couple and as best friends. I can accept them as either one of those, but I can't accept them as having no connection at all. It makes no sense to me.
Tr and Katie are my favorite actors and it makes me so mad they don't even share any scenes together anymore.
I do agree Alex has been written OOC. The Alex I know (and do love even though I am not an AI fan) would react to all of this.
I also think they are doing it so people don't hate Izzie.
Even though I am not an AI fan, I do think Izzie needs both Alex and George in her life helping her. She can easily have both her boyfriend and her best friend in her life.
The story would benefit from that.

I would stop whining about Gizzie if they at least talked once in a while. Those two were bff. Izzie basically told him she could live without him as a lover, but couldn't bear to lose him as her best friend and now she couldn't care less?
Every couple breaks up so even though I miss the couple so much, I can accept that. What I refuse to accept is Shonda killing their friendship and treating George like some ornament on the wall.
Then they don't get why TR is so frustrated about this.

Ok seriously? I love Denny, but he only worked when he was alive and he kinda died a few seasons ago. So the dead Denny pretty much needs to die again....and how has nobody noticed? Excepting George, of course, but one threat from Alex and he was all like "ok whatever"...Aren't they supposed to be like best friends? I mean I understand that TR is all frustrated and leaving, but come on, Izzie needs her best friend back!!!
I am soooo excited about the engagement though!!! It has been long in coming!!! And I reaaalllly hope Derek doesn't wait too long, or I think we'll all freak out haha

Well, atheart, there was actually a follow-up scene to that that was suppose to air last episode. George was suppose to see Izzie talking to herself and confront her about it. But guess what? They cut it off, because you know George gets oh so many scenes and they wanted to be fair to the others, so they cut his scene.How dare George hog all the airtime with his 3 lines per episode?
So yeah the real George would never have let Alex or anyone keep him from Izzie if he thought something was wrong with her.
But see, Shonda wants us all to forget those two ever were best friends and that Izzie ever cared about him. She thinks if she keeps cutting their scenes, we will all develop amnesia and forgot how very close they sued to be.
It just makes me miss them more so whatever she thinks she is doing ain't working.
The only thing I like in this are the MerDer spoilers. At least one good thing is happening on Grey.

I really love Denny but this story line is just NOT working. Izzie seems way too happy and perky to be sick. I really hope they are not planning to kick her off the show and I really hope george doesn't leave! The show will definitely lack.
I am also not liking this callie as a lesbian. Arizona is AWESOME and I hope they keep her on... just not as Callie's love interest I would love to see Callie with Mark. I think they are soo funny together. I do happen to agree with everyone who thinks they should make george and izzie friends again. As far as a relationship goes not so much but their friendship was one of my favorites! AND STOP MER AND CHRISTINA'S FIGHT!! I HATE IT! and I can't wait for Sadie to leave.. the psycho needs to go!!!

Last time I checked, the ratings were lower than they have ever been before, so maybe Shonda should fix what is wrong instead of having her defenders jump to her defense and yell a us if we dare use our own judgment and throw praises at her feet for single-mindedly destroying this show.
And to me and many others, George brought soul to this show. A show without a soul is not worth anything.
So you need to shut up and let us express ourselves.
Shonda needs to realize a lot of us love George and a lot of us watch for him and treat him better if she doesn't want her ratings to go down even more.

The ratings are down, so we are not doing Shonda any favors by pretending everything is great with the show.
If the George fans shut up about it, Shonda will believe that fans don't care about the character and get rid of him. If enough of George fans speak up to tell Shonda how important he is to the show, maybe we will get through to her.
Then maybe not. Fans have been complaining about the lack of George for months and yet nothing.
But then, when the rumors first started, they were going to let TR go without a fight, now they are trying very hard to get him to stay and work things out.
I completely believe this is because the George fans did speak up about it.
I think George is the glue to Magic. I also think he is the one character we all recognize ourselves in.
Shonda has tried very hard to make us not care about George, but it hasn't worked, because George is so amazing and lovable and kind.
He never hurts people intentionally and always tries to do the good thing, even if he doesn't always succeed.
I think the show would suffer considerably if they lost him.
I liked this site because people respected each other's opinion. You telling a big number of fans to shut up is making me reconsider.

I'm getting quite tired od people going on about Callie and Mark. They have a great friendship, great friendship chemistry, but I seriously don't think they could work as a couple. And I do think that Callie could be attracted to women. I wouldn't say lesbian, but maybe bi. Sometimes I get the feeling that straight people think in black/white and that the whole world is straight. People, about 5% of it is gay.

I'm excited about this week's episode i think it will be great, I really want to see how the serial killer saga is resolved. Oh, and Meredith and Christina need to sort out this fight, i love them too much to see them fight. Also, i'm starting to think i need to not just keep signing on to say the same thing about Callie over and over... hmmm, something to work on.
