I have grown fond of George O Malley like everyone else who is a Grey's fan. I really do miss Burke's character and the original cast. I think TR and Katherine are getting bite in the butt with all the controversy they started. Grey's made them stars and it looks bad to me to be so whiny about your story line and controversial. Leave your personal stuff at the door you are entertainers!You cannot always be the huge stars with the the Emmy story lines. I didn´t really like his character by the end of season 3 (I liked him very much at the beginning) and I think that Cristina is way better without him. Owen is great on his own (no need for a triangle), and he challenges Cristina to feel, to loosen up, not to be his robot. I like this Cristina better, not the one who put herself in the position of a doormat to be stepped on over and over again.
In the matter of TR, I believe the show will go on. If you people stopped watching every time you threaten to do so, maybe nobody would still watch the show or comment on this page. get over yourselves! watch or don´t watch, but stop threatening us, because guess what, you are just bluffing and it shows!

Come on people, the writing is on the wall: this show will not last very long. Can you blame TR for wanting to leave? It's been a stupid storyline since pretty much season 4! They've mess up the series on purpose.

People who stop watching this show because of George leaving is an idiot's view anyway.George was grand for the first two seasons,but he became a parody of himself,moping and whining around the place.He then had an affair with Izzie,which was a disaster.That was the death nell for him.This show is an ensemble,one that is already crowded,so this will at least loosen things up again.

Yes George didn't have much to do this year but I felt every single moment of his absence and have been missing him dreadfully.
He brought warmth and light to this show and many of us loved him.
As for Gizzie, I was a huge fan of them. They were why I continued watching despite the annoying MerDer. Some haters keep claiming it was a disaster but Gizzie had a huge fanbase that watched this show for them and many people quit watching when they ended.
If they were such a disaster, they wouldn't have still so many loyal fans.
I stayed for George and now that is leaving, I will be following him. He was the one good thing in it.
I hope Izzie goes with him because they belong together.

As horrible as it is, I think T.R. can see that the show is about to implode (the bureaucratic idiocy and nonsensical plot twists reek of an imminent cancellation) and doesn't want to go down with the ship. I will still continue to watch, but it's never going to be the same. I don't think we're going to see a season 6.

George to me was the strongest of the litter. The perfect guy. The sweet, funny, handsome, cute guy. The one whose hug makes it all better. The one you want to introduce to your mom and you fall in love with forever. The moment I saw hat shy smile of his, I fell head over heels and now I feel like I am losing a dear friend.
I have been missing Gizzie all season, but as a mainly George fan, I was hoping George would find his true love and happiness on the show, and now he will never do that.
I know he is just a character but it feels like losing a dear friend and I can't stop crying.
Noone wants Burke back either, he is a total jerk.

I've read a lot of the comments and understand why so many are upset about George's exit. TR's character of George definitely made the show. I can see him being pissed about his lack of storyline, but it is what it is - suck it up and see what next season brings. It happens on every show - one person gets played more the others down played. I think it's a bad move on his part, but whatever...
I would like to see Burke back for one episode to crank up some tension in the Christina/Hunt romance and then get lost - because I really don't care for his character otherwise AND it WON'T happen because he was FIRED.

I can't suck it up. This show has disappointed me all the time. They got Addison to PP when I wanted her with Alex. I loved Denny and thy killed him. Then I loved Gizzie and they killed them and killed their friendship. I liked gexie and that never panned out. Instead I get stuck with Alex and Izzie, which I hate, Mark and Lexie, that have no chemistry, Addison being a caricature of herself on PP and now I lose george. It is too much. It was the last straw especially knowing they are just letting him go like he means nothing to the show, like us his fans don't matter at all to them.

BTW...Burke was one of the best characters..that is why season 4 was not as good. The show was missing a little maturity.

No Isaiah was a huge erason why he got fired. remember TR didn't even bring up the fight at all for months and IW is the one who got it out in the public when he lied at the Golden Globes about it. He got fired because of the GG incident and humiliating the show, not because of the initial incident, and ABC said this was the result of a LONG history of bad behavior on his part that started way before the TR incident.
He later proceeded to badmouth half the cast, insulting Patrick for needing Ellen to help him read his lines, saying he the great IW did not need anyone to help him work (thing is Patrick is dyslexic, hence needing Ellen). He also called the show racist many times including last month after Brooke's firing.
There is a reason why nobody has hired him after this. He has years of bad reputation behind him and from what I heard, his colleagues were more than happy to see him leave, especially the women.
I don't miss him and his big mouth at all. George I will miss though. He is so sweet and cute and amazing.

I was through with George after he cheated on Callie and broke her heart. But he is part of the original cast and it wouldn't be the same without him. Somehow, I still hoped Callie would get a chance to exact her revenge on him and make him feel as bad as he made her feel. Izzie, on the other hand, jumped the shark when she rescucitated a frikkin' deer last season.
