This is so so so so so so sad! I love Grey's so much, it is deff. my show but it has been going down hill since before the writers strike. I don't want to stop watching but something good better happen. Where is the cute mer/der storylines, where is any good storylines :( and now the funny sweet gorge is gone? Ugh i feel like this is the beginning of the end for this show....so so sad

  2. Marie Says:

Dielexie, nobody is saying TR has been treated badly because he is gay. Read up. We are saying many people have been making homophobes comments about him all over the Internet.

Yes it is a big deal for many of us who love and adore George and have been watching for him. We have been desperately hoping he would finally get a story again and get a happy ending and nwo this. And they are letting him without a fight? They are not even trying to keep him. It makes me so mad.

  3. McAbby Says:

Poop. I dont want him to leave :( The show will be so different without him. Oh well. If leaving makes him happy,(Even though it SUCKS) than its okay. ALL THE BEST TR.

  4. MerDerFan Says:

    NO! Georgie can't be leaving!!

  5. misssssgh44 Says:

I'll be sad to see George go... but not T.R. My friend Jane met him at an AIDS events in L.A. and she said he was very standoffish and pretty rude to the fans who paid money to see a few of the celebrities that agreed to sign autographs. I'm not saying it's true or that's what he's always like, but I don't think very highly of him... He always whines about everything, along with precious Katharine, and from reports from insiders, he's basically an ass.

So I will miss George! He's very sincere and honest and cute and T.R. is a GREAT actor. But, seriously, do people really think he's gonna get any work? I think this is a mistake, but hey, if he's happy. And although I'm judging T.R. right now, (sorry!) it's kinda hard not to with everything I've heard. I mean, I'm probably wrong. But whatever. I won't miss him as an actor, just his character, and I'm definetly not quitting the show. Every show has problems, especially high profile, extremely dramatic shows like Grey's. All I can do is keep watching and hope it gets better.

  6. Melly Says:

I'm going to miss George and T.R. George may have had more storylines in the past than other characters, but they weren't great ones, so I'm guessing T.R.'s disenchantment with what he has been given to work with has been building for quite a while. I applaud him for having the guts to step away from a steady paycheck. Not many people would do it, especially in these economic times, so I'm of firm belief that he is doing this on personal principle.

I just quit watching GA after episode 5.10. Sorry if I'm insulting some of you, but except for the Owen/Cristina relationship, every other character is getting shitty storylines right now that are either beyond stupid or a result of total character assassination on the part of Shonda and her writers. I love the work of Eric, Sandra, Patrick, Ellen, Justin, Sara, Kevin, Chandra, and T.R., but I have brain cells to take care of, and GA has been doing nothing lately but killing them off.

So to all the T.R. fans who are going to be done with GA when he leaves, welcome to growing club of ex-GA watchers. We need to stick together and keep the criticism going, because there are a lot of great actors working on GA who deserve so much better than they are getting. If we stay loud and proud, maybe we can get ABC to make some much needed changes, like in who's running the show. Bluntly, Shonda needs to be fired.

  7. atheart282 Says:

Ok that is really just too sad! I love George!!!! Don't leave us!!! You're the charming, sensitive, caring, cute George we all know and love! I have missed you these past weeks, but when you come on Grey's is soooo much better! :'( We'll all miss you Georgie....you're the part of Grey's that kept it moving, brought Izzie's problem to light, the only one who noticed she's going inane....

But it's your life and if you've outgrown it and need to move on to find a job that will treat you right, then we'll be the ones rooting for you.

    Miss you!!!

  8. zooz Says:

i guess thats why the show is introducing so many new characters...coz soon probably more stars may be leaving so they are gonna replace them, first it was brooke, now T.R, and i'm thinking that if TR leaves, Katherine heigl is definately gonna leave..

  9. merderforlife Says:

Bummer - I liked George. I wonder how Shonda will set the stage for his departure?

  10. Callie Says:

Really? Because I met TR and he was nothing but the very sweetest person in the world. I also met other people who met him and said at the Golden Globe and said he took more photographs with everyone and signed mroe autographs than anyone.

The AIDS thing? Do you happen to know that TR had 2 hours and a half of sleep that day. He came all the way from another state to do this and be there to support Sara Ramirez and he mentioned having his nerves shot and being very jumpy and unnerved. So maybe this is what happened. I know when I don't get much sleep, I get really grump, because really I met him and I know many people who have met him and they had nothing bad to say about him.

I even wrote to him later and he remembered meeting me and it was months after.

Him being tired is the only explanation I can come up with.

Anyhow, my sweet TR who played my wonderful lovable sweetheart George, I will miss you with all my heart and I am writing this through my tears now, but whatever you do, will support you.

I hope you find a place where they respect you like this show never did or maybe go back to your beloved theater. Know I won't be watching without you.

  11. Tegan Says:

But George is one of my favorite characters. :( Ugh.

  12. Anonymous Says:

Yay! He was the reason why Isiah Washington had to leave the show. He was one of the best actors on that show ! Freedom of Expression: Washington is allowed to express his opinions. Other great actors and actress are what you say "arrogant" I don't see you people criticizing them. Besides Washington over Knight anyday. Don't see it much as a "lost" to the show

  13. drcookchick Says:

    To Anonymous:

In case you haven't even been reading some of the comments in this thing, T.R. isn't the reason why IW got his ass kicked out the door. It was because he was a complete jerkoff to the women backstage. He's sexist. He's an idiot. His character bored the hell out of me. He's a pompous ass in real life. Cristina is way better off without him. Her and Owen = great. Burke = blah.

Isaiah is NOT coming back to the show because he got fired. Duh. They aren't going to rehire him. How would that make ABC and the show look? So, get over it. You can all stop bitching because we've lost George/T.R. because the writers have issues with listening to the actors. But hey, it's more their lost. At least now I won't have to watch Izzie screw a zombie! YAY!

  14. valentain22 Says:

the whole show is falling apart. Im starting to doubt if it will even get to season 6.... shonda&co started killing it with rose, meredith's exagerated fears, so many stories that started to lead no where (Goerge and Callie, George and Lizzie, Alex and Ava, Callie and Erica, Christina having no life, Lexie and George, etc... they taka one step foward and three steps back) and they keep doing that... now I read that this thing between Callie and Sadie is also not gonna get too far... come ooon! give us something to hold on, a storyline that we can fall in love with.... becouse the storylines are what actually makes us fall in love with the characters.

Lets face it, the show went totally boring, almost no sexy funny scenes... and that what it was all about... sexy funny scenes between the serious drama of a hospital... and also no more merder... so much time fighting to be together and now they are like an old bored married couple...
what happened to shonda&co? they used to be so good....

  15. Kris Says:

All the women on the show hated IW. I heard he once stuck his tongue down Sandra Oh's throat and she was really upset about it. He is a sexist pig. Calling people disgusting names is freedom of expression now. Hello people like you are what is wrong with this world.

Nobody misses IW but most people will miss TR.

I can stop watching this crappy show now.

  16. merderforlife Says:

I think the show started falling apart when Private Practice started (nothing against the show). After PP started, Shonda lost her focus and now it's paying the price.

  17. Kim Says:

If Shonda can,t write for George, hire me, I will. He is a great character and there is so much they could be doing with him.

Screw them for not doing it and making me lose the one character I watched for.

  18. BellaI don Says:

I don't blame him, but I will miss him so much. I think it is time to leave Grey like he is.

JustJared just posted great photos of him and Mark at the new Brad Pitt movie opening, he looked so happy.

    I wish he would stay.

  19. adr1226 Says:

I just remembered Izzie preventing George from transferring to Mercy West - she said to George "you're the glue that's keeping us together" (or something to that effect). So now George is leaving for good, I feel sad already. If you've been watching GA regularly, you'll notice how much little screentime they give T.R., so it is understandable why he wants to leave the series. I don't think you can call it being ungrateful. He's a good actor, he's the reason why I watch GA. I would prefer seeing the Izzie-Denny story cut off - it's just stupid.

  20. Lovely Rita Says:

    Hit the road ,George,
    And don't you come back
    No more
    No more
    No more
    No more
    Hit the road, George,
and don't you come back no mooooore

Well, if he goes, maybe Isaiah Washington could be rehired and a love triangle between Burke, Cristina and Owen could occur... That would be the most perfect thing to watch, especially since I love them booth (burke and owen). Now, George isn't doing anything more in the show, he doesn't have a freakin' plot. And while bringing new characters in to be their love interests can work for Cristina and maybe for Callie too, it won't work for George... I mean, who could it be? Alex's sister, coming back from Congo war, where she used to cut herself and screw everybody like crazy? Nah, sorry, but we've had our dose of new characters and can't face another one until someone leaves... Since George has already fucked/married/divorced/don't understand that she loves him every woman on the show, and can't turn gay because Callie got that plot first, see ya, Georgie. You should have known better before jumping in Izzie's panties, btw.

  21. lisa Says:

Well, if he has no story it is not surprising he wants to go I guess. Patrick has been quoted as saying he will stay as long as he has story and he has not been given much either. I hope Dreamy is not next to walk.

  22. susaline Says:

okay, you people who are sitting & moping around just because TR left are just plain..stupid. their is no point getting all upset because he left..its a show! not real life.

    **sorry if this offinded anyone...**

  23. shred Says:

I thought I would be upset about him leaving but I'm not. I guess him being in the background so much made me not miss him anymore.

Truth be told, there isn't much story for George to tell anymore. What else can he do? He has already slept with half of the women in GA, got married, cheated and fail his intern exams. Unless he becomes the Chief of Surgery, his story is over in my opinion.

  24. GatorGirl Says:

George is an amazing character, and the show will be less without him. This show is beginning to go south anyway- too many storylines, and none of them very good. This show used to make me laugh and cry every episode for the first two seasons. Now I can't remember if I watched it last week- the episodes are hard to follow and truthfully aren't what they were. I wasn't sorry to see Brook Smith go- I never cared for her character. I will be devastated to see George leave. Sadly, if things keep going in the direction that they have been, I fear that Grey's Anatomy will be no more after next season. I wish that Grey could go back to the time when they only majorly screwed with one or two characters at a time. And they should give George some better material to work with!!

  25. drcookchick Says:

Oh my God. Really people. You think they're going to bring IW back? READ THIS COMMENT, DAMMIT! They WON'T. He got FIRED. First off, if they rehired him after T.R. left, that would make ABC and Shonda look REALLY bad. The women hated him. T.R. and Patrick didn't like him. Cristina got over him, so get the hell over it yourselves. That was two years ago.

It's not stupid to be upset about T.R. leaving. When I found out yesterday I _cried_. I absolutely love T.R. and his character on here. I felt like my best friend just died because, in a way, a part of me died and won't exist anymore. It sounds pathetic and no lifeish, yes, but that's because I actually don't have a life and am pathetic. But another reason is because T.R. has a way with his acting. He steals scenes. Review season three, "Six Days pt. 2" when he yelled at Bailey and the Chief. That should have won him that Emmy, but that f-nut from Lost won it instead...-_-

George can do a lot more. First off, they can give him a few solo surgeries to start off with over a coarse of say...a month. Then they could have someone come in that's dying of an odd, weird disease that nobody in their right mind has ever heard of. Then all the residents could compete and George could win. George has interns. Lexie could pull her head out of her ASS and grow up and maybe try to win George over. Which, after Thursday's episode, I'd rather they didn't get together. Bunch of idiots. Anyway, the point is, there is still more George can do. The writers are just not doing more because they have to give the airtime to the stupid interns and that whorenutcase and ghost.

Another note to you rampaging MerDer fans: They aren't going to get George's screen time because there's been little to none. Just because a character leaves doesn't mean they're going to start jumping in bed and screwing each other or have intense, hot makeout sessions in the elevators.

Sorry if I come off as harsh, but dammit.

Another thing: T.R. is not a bigheaded asshole. He's still very modest, nice, patient, ect., ect. as he was in the beginning. He's still pleasant to his fans, wouldn't be one to cause a huge stir up behind the scenes, and all that other shit.

And no, it was not T.R. that caused a huge thing with IW. Let that crap GO already! He wants out of his contract due to lack of story. In that case, Patrick had better be packing his bags as well. I wouldn't blame him either.

I hope T.R. will be alright after this, though. Ya know, work wise. Hollywood's hard. If Patrick were to quit he'd be fine.

Wow, I'm sorry this was a ridiculously long post.
