With speculation swirling that T.R. Knight wants out of Grey's Anatomy, people have all but written off his beloved character, George O'Malley - this fan site included.
But Eric Dane insists it's not official, and this recent news / spoiler item we came across indicates that maybe - just maybe - George's departure is not a done deal.
This from TV Guide's Matt Mitovich, in response to a reader inquiry ...
Q: Is there any indication that Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes is going to adjust her stories because of all of the recent negative feedback?
A: I doubt that Rhimes will alter any master plans, especially when it comes to the Izzie-Denny romance which, though polarizing, seems destined to serve some greater purpose. Now, speaking of "negative feedback," I've got at least one inside source telling me that T.R. Knight's apparent disenchantment with Grey's Anatomy might not necessarily result in him exiting the series early. Wouldn't it be refreshing to see cooler heads prevail?

It means that maybe they can sit down and talk it out like adults, and find a way to work things out, instead of parting ways over someone getting their feelings (or ego) hurt.

I'm not a George fan, but I would like to see him remain on the show. I think that if we start to see more orginals like him and possibly Katherine Heigel leave the show and continue to add more characters the show will lose it's magic, along with all the reasons that fans starting watching the in the first place.

George needs to stay. He needs to. I love him so much. He needs to break up Slexiepuke too and I want him and Izzie to be bff again (and maybe one day reunite).
George is my favorite.

Believe it or not, there are those of out there who do NOT love and adore George and miss the way he was back in say Seasons 1 and 2 and do not feel that his exit would be a big loss at this point.
Maybe if he had a storyline for the past I don't know, two seasons, then maybe he would be missed, but another character walking around in the background popping in to say hello and remind us that he's there once an episode? Nope. Not going to miss that.
However, if they were to give him an actual storyline...

please George stay...you are the only reason I still tend to watch the show...what would make me a fan of greys again is the union of George and Izzie as friends and couple and as soul mates....I love them and will always!!!!
